06/100 One reading goal for 2025 was to try more non- superhero graphic novels. A friend recommended this, and I'm glad she did because it was great. I love the Rat Queens, I love the world they live in, I love the violence and the gory bloodshed. The art by Roc Upchurch was truly amazing. 4 ⭐⭐⭐⭐💫 I look forward to reading more of the series.

#WhereAreYouMonday @Cupcake12

In the country of Aguillon, in a town near the mountains, where two elves try to help the just appointed new duke (former cow-herd) with a mountain troll problem.

Funny, queer, D&D like, adventure story with 🌶️

Second novella in trilogy - third is supposed to be published in April 2025.

Ada and Rian meet again. Months after the events at the Roundabout Ada is tasked with stealing something from a museum during an important gala (think Ocean's 8 with the Met Gala, lots of VIPs,...). Rian, knowing Ada won't let this opportunity pass her, is present to stop her. What is she trying to fit into her teeny tiny purse? A canopic jar?

Spoiler-ish comment ⬇️

julesG The devil's in the details. And I had an idea about how it would unfold early on. Not all twists of course, but why Ada was there and what and how she was going to take it. 21h
Andrew65 Excellent progress 🥳🥳🥳 17h

First novella in a fun Sci-fi trilogy with a dash of romance.

There is a heist. And, without spoiling too much, neither Ada nor Rian are what they pretend to be.

Spoiler-ish comment below ⬇️

julesG Some reviewers said the reveal came as a big surprise, but it didn't for me. Guess I pay too much attention to the details on and off the page. 🤷🏻‍♀️ 21h

Andrew65 Excellent 🥳🥳🥳 17h
CaramelLunacy I really enjoyed this! Ada's voice is just so much fun, and I adored her cleverness. I also really liked the footnotes reports at the end (but I have a weakness for footnotes). 15h

You Have Gone Too Far | Carlene O'Connor

Pickpick

You Have Gone Too Far is the first book I have read by Carlene O'Connor. I won it through a Goodreads Giveaway. I was quickly drawn into the book, even though this is the 3rd installment in the County Kerry Series. I feel it can be read as a stand-alone, as I did, without any problem.

I enjoyed getting to know the main characters. There seems to be a little romance in the air that has seemed to be growing for a while. I enjoyed the ⬇️

MonicaLoves2Read other characters as well. I plan on reading the first two books in the series to get to know all the characters better. I thought overall the book was good, though in one part, it seems O'Connor decided to go in a different direction with the plot. As I have never read her before, I am not sure if it was intentional or not.

29 years ago, in County Kerry, there was a cult. Three boys have found a body in the bog girsly murdered. Is the cult resurfacing?

Thanks to Goodreads for the book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

😊Happy Reading 😊

Cheryl_Russell_BookNotes Her first two books in this series are just as good. She also writes a cozy mystery series set in Ireland. (edited) 1d
MonicaLoves2Read @Cheryl_Russell_BookNotes I didn't know she wrote a cozy series. I will check it out. Thanks 😊 1d

#25Alive #BookHaul a mini haul, proud of myself, actually traded some books for these earlier this week . Also works for #SeriesLove2025 the next two Will Trents to read , and if I like “ Falling “ TJ Newman has written 2 more . Are plane disasters considered a series ?

TheSpineView Great haul! 22h
Andrew65 I need to get back to the Will Trent series. 17h
Andrew65 You could easily make plane disasters a series 😂 (edited) 17h

The ending! I‘m really making myself wait a little bit to read the 3rd book because I‘m seriously hooked.

Very much a soft pick for me. Overall I enjoyed it but it dragged at times and Wimsey sure does prattle on. I‘m not opposed to reading more in the series but it‘s definitely not a reading priority.

Andrew65 Well done 🥳🥳🥳 And yes the two reviews are almost identical. I agree about it dragging at times. 1d

Usual all action, killing of people everywhere, saving the world plot 😁 if that‘s what you‘re expecting you‘ll never be disappointed.
#serieslove2025 11/30 - that‘s still a lot of series left.

Andrew65 Well done 🥳🥳🥳 I love this series, unfortunately I‘ve finished all the books and he isn‘t writing anymore for the series. 1d
Cathythoughts Great stuff 😁👍🏻 1d
TrishB @Andrew65 I think 30 is a very long series anyway and it‘s hard to be all action hero past a certain age! I do enjoy them though. 1d
