So I‘ll read anything John Boyne writes, obviously. But although I owned this one, I‘m not sure when I would have gotten to it. Reading about a catholic priest isn‘t at the top of my list. @emilyhaldi listed it on her #newyearwhodis list though, so I but the bullet.

Wow. Stunning. Boyne is truly one of the best authors of this generation. The way he writes about the struggles of a priest and makes it relatable is a true gift. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

@BarbaraBB asked for inspiration for Danish authors, so I thought I would compile a little sample of both classic and contemporay Danish authors, that I have read a liked/loved. There‘s a lot of crime/mystery writers in Denmark, but that‘s not my genre, so you‘ll have to find those for yourself 😅

#WinterWonderland My daughter, the one who thinks I have a “book problem “ has been hassling me to buy her a new coat...(I get endless texts with photos)& I keep explaining for the price of her coveted jacket, I could purchase my entire TBR wishlist!!!! And everyone knows, #BooksAreForever not so much a winter coat #SellMeACoat or #SellMeSomeBooks~ it‘s not a fair fight 😂

Today seemed like the perfect day to curl up with this Vintage Mini 💕 ( it was also a sweet gift from my #LitsyDaughter) In under 100 pages Helen Simpson is able to convey the beautiful, messy, exhausting daily joys and misery that encompass Motherhood. I related to Zoe ~ mother of 3 who is secretly dreading the day when her youngest no longer “needs” his mom, so she relishes the chore of driving her son, or acting as his personal assistant👇🏼
