A fast-paced thriller that I breezed through. The ending was not unpredictable, but the way it was revealed made this book interesting. Also, I do tend to like books about sibling relationships.

Settling down on the sofa with my #currentread and leftover birthday cake is one of my favourite things to do! 🎂📚
Margarita from yesterday. 🤷🏻♀️
Fun and spicy palate cleanser! 🔥I wasn‘t planning to read this until one of my favourite YTubers recommended it on her channel.
The enemies-to-lovers trope isn‘t too strong, but I liked the wry, snarky protagonist. 🦇💜🐺
I have been reading the Newbery Award winners and this is my third book.
Sci-fi meets folklore, a wonderful book for discussions.
Too many stickers on the beautiful cover! 😓
My second medical literature of this year!
Written in verse-form, a story of an Indian-American girl on the two worlds she belongs to and how she navigates and understands that while coming to terms with her mother‘s illness.

A delightful tale narrated by a dog. A tale for all ages. I love the modified paintings! 💚🐶
What a beautiful way to remember your teenage years…the angst, the self-consciousness, the adventure, friends…! All of this with spot-on illustrations.
I liked the author‘s note in the end comparing childhood in the 80s to now.
P.S : I used to love Fanta too! 🧡
A beautiful story, and lovely illustrations. Based on real events in Franz Kafka‘s life.
I love picture books!
I decided to tackle the forgotten bottom tiers of my Litsy to-read list and somehow this book was in the library. I don‘t know why I stacked it though. Well…let‘s see. 😅

Time to start a new book!
I loved Cutting for Stone and my brother gifted me this on a recent trip to India. 💚
Everything that Littens have said about this book is true! I need more of Greta and Valdin…and Xabi and Linsh and everybody in this splendid book. 💜
Long weekend read!
I loved the Shetland series by BBC and have always wanted to read the series.
After a lot of cooking today, I finally deserve some rest! 😇

Thanks to a slow week at work I managed to finish a book in four days, something I haven‘t done in a long time.
I really liked the MC, the book has so much depth. It‘s sad but also not. I really don‘t know how to describe it other than I liked it a lot. It made me reflect a lot on Strout as a writer.
I opened the first page yesterday, saw the date, and closed it so that I could start it today instead!! Bookish quirks 😅
I don‘t usually read romances but this is festive and a light read. Enjoying it so far. 🕎🎄 🌙
I read The Arctic Fury by Greer Macallister at the peak of summer so it‘s only fair that I read Prodigal Summer when it is freezing outside. 😅
Three MCs and I love all of them. This is a book to be savoured. 💚☀️
One of my favourite things to do: Reach the library early on a weekend, grab the seat by the window, read a few pages of my hold, glance through a few picture books, all this with my favourite human. 💕

I have a little more than a 100 pages left but I already know it‘s Pick! I wanted a story and it delivered. So much information about tea…I love it!
Even my little garden rabbit loves to read. 🐇 🤓 📖 💚🌺
Was feeling low, went to the library, found this while browsing, read twenty pages and instantly felt better.
Part one was one of my favourite books last year. Lovely to be back with the Cazalets. 🩵
Let‘s see if it lives upto the high praise. I did not like the first chapter but the second chapter narrated by the cat got me curious. 😽

💯 points for the lunch, and the book. The book is something else…it makes you laugh, think and sometimes squirm. I love the narration. Hoping to finish it this weekend. 🩵 #currentread #lunchtimereading
So far, enjoyable and relatable. 📖
My four-day long weekend was long awaited. Just spring-cleaning, cooking, reading and writing. ☀️🫶🏼
This month is being crazy so I decided short stories wouldn‘t take too much commitment. These are stories based on a popular radio show, The Vinyl Cafe. It features ‘Canada‘s much-loved fictional family.‘ ❤️🤍

Reading this book felt like I was on a blind date and was pleasantly surprised with my company. 😅
I can see why the book is loved. I don‘t usually read YA but I recommend this one. #currentlyreading #lovestory #foodandbook #YA #weekendpartyforone 🥳
This is probably the first time I have seen someone correct a spelling in a library book. Would you correct a spelling or a grammatical error in a library book?
I would get miffed but wouldn‘t correct it unless I owned the book.
Also, Google says that cheque is spelled check in America. Which spelling do you use? Cheque or check?
I glanced back and this sight made me feel warm and fuzzy. This is exactly how I look at books too. 🫠🫠🥹🥹♥️

Finishing off my lazy weekend with a quick visit to the library and jumping right into a bookstore in this Litsy-recommended book. The beginning is a bit abrupt but I have high hopes for the writing. 📚🫖☕️ #currentread
I have finally made peace with the fact that I‘ll probably be able to read only one book a month. I wouldn‘t call it a slump because I really enjoyed reading Circe.
Instead of going to the library (🥶),I looked through my reserves and found this forgotten gift.
I was in an eternal reading slump in 2022…a fudged-up year really. Here‘s hoping for a better, brighter, sunnier, happier 2023.
Two more hours until new year…here‘s how I‘m partying. 🥳🫶🏼📚
Happy New Year, my lovely people. 💕
What an apt title! Open, honest, and raw. Especially touching were the parts about Stephanie and his father figure, Gil. There‘s a lot of tennis, obviously, but it doesn‘t dull the book at all.
I remember reading The Naughiest Girl series as a kid and being fascinated with boarding schools. Then Lowood School in Jane Eyre burst my bubble. But it feels nice to be back in a boarding school setting where Daisy Wells and Hazel Wong solve mysteries ranging from finding tuck boxes to solving murders. 💙
Set in 1934. #currentlyreading
I just realised that my current read and my current tv series were set in South Carolina. The book involves spirits and ancestral homes and the series (Sweet Magnolias) involves female friendships in a pretty town. Series is based on a book too.

My second book by Beth O‘Leary. I really enjoyed reading The Switch and I recommend it often. Glad to be joining #LittensLoveRomance for discussions. Hopefully it will help with my slump.
The book goes really well with leftover birthday cake.💖🎂😏
My lil one is prepping for his first ever day of school. He loves the tagged book. My personal favourite is the one by Berube. The pigeon one is cute but okay. 🐦 🎒 🏫
Happy National Book Lovers Day to everyone. 💛💖📚
Down and out with Covid. Reading is not in the horizon. Just get it over with! 🤒😷😩😩
I love the Bohrasisters art on insta and Pinterest. Thought I‘d share a bookish one here. They‘re originally animated. 💚
Just like Vicious, this is turning out to be way better than I expected. It‘s more ambitious than Vicious but does not disappoint. I find myself rooting for Addie. 💙

Coffee and manga on this cloudy, placid day. I highly recommend these two volumes. So heartwarming 🥰🌈

Pouring rain and gusty wind calls for a horror read. I‘m glad I took a quick trip to the library yesterday and got this book. Excited to see what secrets could an abandoned mansion be hiding? 💨🌧
I was planning to give it a ‘so-so‘ but I really liked the MC and the living-dead people in it. So it‘s a soft Pick from me.

Verity kept me on edge, oscillating between suspense and horror. I had a few issues with the plot but overall a good palate cleanser. It‘s a one-sitting read and begging to be made into a movie. 📖 🎥
It took over a month for my slump to get over, and I just read one book in May. My #currentread is helping me get my groove back. This is a #blameitonlitsy read and I‘m enjoying it so far. Happy Weekend!

I‘m not on Insta but I appreciate it when my friends share posts that they know I‘ll love. For my fellow Littens. 💕
Despite other challenges and a reading slump I‘m grateful for the summer. It just feel so good to be outside. 🌞🌳🌞
Long weekend calls for a decadent Argentinian tart and this ‘winter‘ book. I had set this book aside for winter months but I was in the mood for some adventure. Glad I gave in because I‘m thoroughly enjoying it. ❄️🌊❄️ #currentlyreading
Finally some delicious sunshine in the Prairies, and a perfect time to read this book set in #Finland.
That‘s Grandmother and Sophia. 💙☀️💙

A novel in verse actually feels quite good right now. I would have preferred the audio but the waiting was too long.

Five pages into it and the writing already feels like I‘m settling into a really comfortable armchair. Plus, the tea is so soothing 💛
