A very happy birthday to you, Sarah 🎉🎂🎉📚🤗 @TheAromaofBooks

Bailedbailed

I feel bad for bailing. I was so impressed by the first page that I thought I would love the whole book but after a hundred pages or so it just kept spiralling around the same dialogues. In its defence I had just finished The Switch, which I loved, and I was not in the mood for another romance. Won‘t be going back to it later either. 🤷🏻‍♀️

suvata Don‘t feel bad. I finished it, but I think I only gave it 2-stars. It just wasn‘t my kind of book. I just saw an author interview with her and she is a very cool person which made me feel even worse that I couldn‘t get into her writing. 6mo

I didn‘t read too many books this year(veryyy few) but these are the ones I‘d recommend.
🥀The Switch- light, palate cleanser, romantic without all the fluff, adorable characters.
🥀Cutting for Stone-chunkster, set in Ethiopia, if medical and family saga is your thing, great for a book club discussion.
🥀Keeper n Me- audiobook rec
🥀Americanah- I was late to the party but if there‘s still someone who hasn‘t read it, I‘d highly recommend this one.

I kept the classics under 400 pages so that I could manage it easily. Only the August choice was a reread.

It‘s Maisy over Catherine these days!
This book was recommended by the librarian based on an online ‘Find Me A Book‘ feature. My toddler loves the pictures, he can identify the animals, and recognise some of the words. Ideal for 2 years and up. 👩‍👦📚 #YoungReadersDay #ThankfulThoughts

My husband had been coveting this book so I bought this for him on his birthday. Also made these tikkas to remind him of Delhi. 🤎💚

Ruthiella Hope you‘re back to reading soon! ❤️ 🎃 13mo
BiblioLitten Reading a chapter a day is definitely helping with the slump. Too many things on my mind but Austen to the rescue! 😊 @batsy @readordierachel @Ruthiella 💙 13mo
