Cute little MG paranormal suspense/mystery.
Cute little MG paranormal suspense/mystery.
I loved this duology so much! I‘m sad to see the end. I felt like this could have been more than two books. On the plus side Holmberg‘s Paper Magician series has been optioned by Disney. 🥰
This 3rd installment in the City of Ghosts series was pretty suspenseful. My heart really goes out to Cassidy‘s friend, Lara. I absolutely love this MG series and I really hope Schwab continues with it.
I love this series so much!! If you like steampunk fantasy with a touch of the supernatural and history, you‘ll love this series as much as I do!
Have I mentioned how much I love this series yet?? The writing, world building and character development is amazing! Would you travel to the afterworld to save someone you love?
I‘m loving this series so much! I don‘t know why I haven‘t started it before this year. I will say that Issac is super high handed with how he “protects” Adele. It infuriates me to no end! (It could be a trauma response from me)
I. Am. Loving. This. Series. So much!!!! I can‘t even adequately describe how amazing this book is. It‘s answered a bunch of questions and then left you wondering about so many things! On to book 3, I can‘t (willingly) put these down!
I loved this so much! Witches, Vampires and Werewolves in New Orleans, what‘s not to love?!
This MG mystery series is so fun! This is the 4th book and I haven‘t heard anything about a 5th yet.
I was thrilled but not scared. I definitely got some Girl on the Train vibes from this one but I feel like GotT was definitely more suspenseful.
I absolutely LOVED this book! It sank its claws into me and wouldn‘t let me put it down! (It‘s 5:30am) This is the first book I‘ve read by this author and I‘m absolutely floored at how well it‘s written; I was freezing in those lifeboats, I heard the screams of the doomed, and I felt the silence as it crept across the water to the survivors in the boats.
This just popped up on Facebook. Another book I need to read before the show premieres. Thank the goddess I‘ve got time before Shadow and Bone hits Netflix!
Maniscalco is turning into an auto buy author for me. I loved her Jack the Ripper series. And I‘m super excited to see where this series is headed! Witches, demons, vampires and other things that go bump in the night, all on top of a murder mystery? Sign me up every time!
I love, love, loved this! I know a lot of people didn‘t like the ending but I thought it was perfect, exactly what Addie would do! Sacrifice for the ones she loves and set herself up for some good old fashioned revenge. (Always a dish best served cold)
Did y‘all see the new update for the kindle app??? It now puts series together!! 😲
I could say the same thing about one of my sisters. 😂
I‘m not exactly sure how I feel about this book. It‘s a little strange but also intriguing. Idk, it was good but weird.
I know this hasn‘t gotten good reviews but I loved this story! I can‘t really say too much about it without giving a lot away.
I have no idea what fairytale this was supposed to be originally but I liked it either way! Super interesting plot. I feel like it could be a full length novel.
This one was sooooo good! A short little murder mystery; the ultimate “bros before hoes”. I really enjoyed it!
These modern fairytales are super weird so far. I don‘t really know how to feel about them.
Definitely a modern fairytale, but I don‘t get the point of the story. 🤷🏻♀️
I loved this!! Reminiscent of her Paper Magician series, which I absolutely adored. Can‘t wait to see where this series (duology?) is headed! March cannot come fast enough.
Super suspenseful ending to this series. The last few chapters were cringey though. I‘m not sure why but Clare just started grating on my nerves.
Finally decided on my two First Reads books! I‘ve been debating between them all day long.
Has anyone picked their first reads yet? I can‘t decide!
This book was a little slower than the first two but no less suspenseful. Some people left the two main protagonists and they‘re on their way back to Winterbourne; which sounds like it‘s going to be a death trap after reading the synopsis of the fourth book.
My goal was 85, not too shabby.
I‘m breezing through this series! The beginning was a little boring but it quickly picked up momentum. So many suspenseful moments and the majority had my heart in my throat. I‘ve yet to read something I didn‘t like from Darcy.
I can always trust Darcy to pull me out of a reading slump! Her stories are so suspenseful. I don‘t know how she does it but she‘s able to make me feel like I‘m in one of her stories with things that are made for nightmares. Hopefully I can get another couple books in before the end of the month!
This was not at all what I was expecting. Kinda “meh”. Could just be the mood I‘m in.
I‘m not sure what to say about this book. It‘s not the best I‘ve ever read but the writing and suspense were well done, which is why I gave it the rating I did and made it an overall pick. I could have used an inset story to explain exactly the who, what, where origins of the monsters.
LitJoy does their editions right! I loved this story! I had a hard time putting it down. I loved the characters and the world building. Just wow! If someone doesn‘t already have a LitJoy subscription and wants one or wants to try out a single month, here is my referral link: http://rwrd.io/u21hdk1
Absolutely amazing and my first Christina Henry novel. Suspenseful, mysterious, and supernatural. Everything for a perfect October read!
I absolutely love Hannah Howell! And her Wherlocke series is phenomenal! Grab the second book for $1.99!! #KindleDeals #eBookDeals
The bookmark says it all! Took me only a couple hours to finish this book that‘s been on my TBR for 3 years. It‘s considered middle grade fantasy but I feel like it‘s more YA. Either way I absolutely adored it!
Not bad. I enjoyed some stories more than others, I expected that. The last two were probably my favorites.
I give it 4 stars because it was engaging enough to hold and keep my attention but it was more disturbing than scary.
I just finished Blackout and I picked up her novella collection for $1.99 on kindle! If you‘re enjoying this series or already have but haven‘t read the novellas (like me) then get lucky and get them all for super cheap! #KindleDeal
Wow! This was an awesome conclusion to a series I wasn‘t sure I was going to finish. The first book was a definite struggle to finish but if you persevere you won‘t be disappointed! I‘m now going to read all the novellas for this series.
Holy. Cow. Definitely faster paced than the first book. That ending is 😱. On to book three with all enthusiasm! I‘m glad I decided to continue this series, so far anyway.
Why does it seem to take forever to get into her books? I‘ve been reading this book off and on for months. It didn‘t really keep my attention until 300 pages in. I had the same complaint about Into the Drowning Deep. The second half makes me want to finish the series but the first half wants me to cut my losses. Anyone else feel this way?
Book 6.5 in the Book of Never series. Very short novella that o read to take a little break from The Chronicles of Shannara. I highly recommend this fantasy series. All the books are quick reads and I enjoy spending time in the magical world Capes has created.
There is literally nothing that Schwab writes that I don‘t like. I think I‘ve read everything she‘s published to date and I‘ve loved it all. She‘s right up there with Gaiman. The ending left me wondering is she‘s going to write a 3rd book for this series.
How have I not started this duology before now?! Schwab is a master storyteller! Tons of action, conspiracy and emotion. I loved it!
This is a novella for her Vicious duology. Not sure where it‘s going as I probably shouldn‘t have read this first but it was a nice teaser.
