Love Ali Hazelwood! Loved the Italian setting and the two MCs as well! And Eli and Rue from Not in Love are part of the cast of characters 😆

This was a fun one…. Excellent funny dialogue, great characters, familiar friends, spicy scenes and gorgeous setting. I needed an escape, and I got it! Doesn‘t hurt that my pup will be discharged from the hospital in a couple hours, so happy endings all around!
I LOVED this book! So it turns out Ali Hazelwood is the contemporary romance writer i needed to read! There is an age difference, there is consent, there is fighting ALLLL the feelings! Obscene wealth held by good people and a supportive cast that has all the support ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Once again Ali Hazelwood knocks it out of the park. This was a fascinating and enjoyable read loved the characters and the storyline. I have not one thing that I didn‘t like everything was just perfection
4/5 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌑
“I have never wanted anything as desperately, as ungovernably, as persistently as I want you. Not a single goddamn thing. Not my dead mother back. Not revenge. Not the well-being of the people I love. Not professional success, not even my own happiness. Absolutely nothing has consumed me as mercilessly as you have.”

I really enjoyed this second book in the series. I loved seeing where Eli and Rue are now just as much as I loved getting Conor and Maya‘s story.
I love AH - her dialogue makes me laugh, I like how she empowers her female characters, her 🌶️ level isn‘t too much. This story centres around an age difference and she handles the misgivings well. #loveislove #theheartwantswhattheheartwants I need to go back and read Not In Love the first in this series ( how I missed it is beyond me )
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Ali Hazelwood is pretty reliable for a funny, enjoyable, smart read. This second book in her #NotInLove series is a thoughtfully executed age gap romance. Very likable characters, great banter.
I was saving this for summer vacation and that starts now
This was a summer romance dream set in Italy. I loved the story and I couldn't put it down. The only thing that bothered me about the age gap relationship was that he kinda helped raise her and it gave me the ick. If he was just her brother's friend or just 15 years older than her I wouldn't care but the storyline of him paying for things when she was 13 gave me the ick. OTHER THAN THAT lol I loved it!!
This story felt more like a sequel for Rue&Eli and it saved the book :)
Gah! I loved this. It‘s my first Ali Hazelwood, and it will not be my last. I adored the banter between Maya and Conor, and the sass of other characters, particularly Nyota. The story was delightful. It was frustrating and steamy and heartbreaking and heartwarming. Problematic or not, I loved it.
There‘s something about cancelling plans and escaping into a rom-com after weeks of being busy and running around. The perfect escapism and another Hazelwood winner.
Tonight, I hosted the first @silentbookclub in Durham at @daughterscoffeeandbooks . We had thirteen people show up. We talked about how a silent book club works and how it promotes literary and reading in communities.
By doing this, I am also able to support my local #indiebookshop owner.
I am so happy to see this turnout . You can see some of the books that were read during the hour of silent reading.
Summer of Smut Weeks 1 and 2! ☀️🔥
Beautiful Venom by Rina Kent
Problematic Summer Romance
This was my first book by Rina Kent, and I really enjoyed it! She has a ton of books, so I'm excited to dive into the rest of her works. It's a dark romance though, so make sure you read the trigger warnings before deciding to start this one!
Ali Hazelwood NEVER disappoints, and this one in particular was fantastic! 🥰

June 15, 2025 Welp Eli and Rue only had Maya and Conor see their wedding. It was only the four of them and both Maya and Conor cried while they watched. Now, Conor is regretting everything that he said to Maya about the age difference and realizes that she was right. Age doesnt matter!! Now he wants to get married, even though he knows about the age gap. 4/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
June 15, 2025 Ten months have passed and Maya and Conor met up again. Maya had time to think over what she felt about Conor and what they had discussed. Although he is moving on, they still had one more "hurrah" before Conor left.
June 15, 2025 (continued from last post) Sooo, will Conor give her a chance? Maya keeps sharing that she has feelings for him. She even gave him permission to have sex with her. He liked it but I feel like deep inside, he knew it wasnt right. What will Maya do now?
June 15, 2025 haha ya'll dont even know how much I am trying to finish this book and start the next one. I am on a time crunch and wanting to finish it bevause ik i have other books I want to read. A spoiler: pages 304-308 reveal that Conor feels like his relationship with Maya is coming to end. The main reason is that he is way older than her and she has a life to live. He found someone closer to his own age and has known of this person. Hmmm....

June 13, 2025 YUP Friday the 13th... dun dun dun haha I mean it is only a susperstitious day if you believe in it. I am on Chapter 19. It looks as if Maya and Conor have developed a steamy romance though Maya is twenty three and Conor is thirty five WHOA a little too old i would say but he does have a liking for Maya and vice versa
I'm LOVING this audiobook so far. The narrator is exceptional. I enjoy how much she's getting into the tone of the main character.
June 12, 2025 On page 103 and it seems like Maya and Conor Harkness are becoming friends... or maybe more than friends since Conor is best friends with Eli. It is 6 days before the wedding now...
June 11, 2025 Page 66 and so much has taken place. Hmmm Maya Killgore is Eli Killgore's younger sister. Maya is twenty years old and Eli is a little older. He is going to get married to Rue, who Maya defines as awkward. Both of her parents passed away and now she is under the supervision of Eli. Eli cares for her. Maya, on the other hand, likes Conor Harkness, who is one of Eli's friends. So many relationships to keep track of ugh
June 11, 2025 As promised, my next book in the stack is Problemaric Summer Romance by Ali Hazelwood. I was only looking inside Green Apple and stumbles upon it. I did not even know before going there that they would have this nor did I even know she wrote another book!!!! (a summer themed book to be exact). omg i am so excited to read it. Already on page 32.
I love Ali Hazelwood books. Took too long to get to the spice but it was good when we got there. My only complaint was the age gap infantilizing got a bit (ahem) old.
Book 18 of 2025
Hands down, my favourite Hazelwood book! I haven't liked her last three, so I'm glad I gave this one a chance. So much fun!
If you wrote “NEW ALI HAZELWOOD BOOK IN HERE” on the outside of a wishing well then you came there at night with a flashlight and looked down in there, I‘d be there. Having pursued an older man as a trauma-surviving independent college student, and being married to that man for 11 years now, Problematic Summer Romance was practically fan service and it‘s me, I‘m the fan. 💃
Italy, angsty, a will they or won‘t they romance, age gap thrown in for conflict. What could go wrong? Great banter, independent characters, fun pups, and a friend group you‘ll be jealous of make this a great getaway read. Hazelwood always delivers for me.
I'm starting a new reading challenge this summer that I've affectionately dubbed Summer of Smut! 🤭 I'm planning to read one spicy book every week from now until the end of August! This list is very tentative - I might be making some changes to it, but so far these are the ones I'm planning to get through this summer! 📚💕 #summerofsmut
#BookspinBingo board is ready! I‘ve already started this great summer read and am enjoying it. Love all those lined up free spaces; looking forward to another month of great reading!
A few more #camplitsy2025 books have made their way into my greedy little book hoarding hands thanks to Indigo‘s 20% off for teachers sale ( and my plum plus discount too 🎉 ) and my guilty pleasure #alihazelwood 🌶️🌶️
