Help needed!

It‘s my birthday in November, and I‘m starting to think of a wishlist, and I‘m lost. 😳 I know I want books (obviously), but I‘ve been so far out of the book world, that I‘ve no idea what‘s good. So if you want to tag some of the best books you‘ve read so far, I would very much appreciate it! It doesn‘t have to be new releases, I‘m up for anything 🙏

Litsy friends, I need your help!

I‘m going to Vietnam on Monday and I‘ll be gone until the 28th. I‘m trying to decide which books to pack, and I‘ve already decided on The Wise Man‘s Fear and An Echo in the Bone (two chunky reads). I‘m thinking I might need a third (and, possibly, a fourth) book, but I need help narrowing it down!

The books above are the unread books I own, and I need recs - which should I bring? Have you read any of them?

alisiakae The Time Traveler‘s Wife is excellent! Enjoy your trip! Vietnam is an incredible and beautiful country to visit! Especially the Mekong Delta. 5y

jen_the_scribe I had this problem trying to remember one of my favorite Halloween story books from when I was a kid. I typed a little summary of what I could remember the book was about into Google and came upon a blog post about it and was able to find one used copy on Amazon. Tell her to try and remember as much as she can and type into Google. 5y

We read the assigned reading and have discussion questions every Sunday at 1pm cst... we are all laid back so if you have ideas that‘s great! We do choose our books from BOTM. readinginthedark @mgallo1968 I‘m not sure how people define “Buddy Read” versus “Readalong,” but I host the #ShakespeareReadalong each month, in which whoever wants to join reads the planned Shakespeare play on roughly the same schedule, and we share our thoughts on each Act with the hashtag. It‘s kind of like a virtual book club, but you have an opportunity for more discussion since you‘re not limited to an hour or whoever talks the loudest! 😊 (edited) 6y
