Finally done with all the daughter's grad party madness and now back to reading! I loved book two of the Farseer trilogy. Slow yes, lots of details, but once you become hooked on Fitz and the rest of the characters, you really won't mind. Burrich might be my favorite here, and Nighteyes of course. On to the next book!

This is probably the longest series I've read, and Jim Butcher still keeps dishing them out (#15 now?). This is book #9 and wow, the action towards the end was intense! I loved seeing Harry's old friends and new friends come together. It's not easy to sustain a series this long, but so far, every installment has been better than the last. 👌🏼

A heartbreaking, no-apologies story about ALS. This is my first Genova book and It feels honest and true. I liked that it taught much about the debilitating disease, and at the same time focused on its effect on the relationship of the characters. Highly recommended!

And I will read more of her books, just not right away 😅

My last prompt for winter #Booked2019 - #femaledetective. French's in depth characterization is superb! It makes you forget how improbable the entire premise of the book is. I mean someone who looks exactly like you ends up dead and nobody can tell the difference when you showed up? Seems unlikely, but she pulls it off. I think it's a solid second book although some might be put off with the pace.

This should have totally worked for me! I'm the classic book and IT nerd so a bookstore plus google plus a puzzle to be solved is the perfect recipe for an awesome read. And it was for about 60% of the way and then I wasn't sure where it was going anymore. 🤔The audio was great, but overall just an ok read. #Booked2019 #remindsyouofyourhappyplace
