A couple of my favorite books and then one that‘s very high on my #tbr! The Physick Book of Deliverance Dane has a glorious #autumnsetting in Maine, if I recall correctly. The Raven Boys has a #ghostly character that is one of my favorites! And The #Graveyard Book I haven‘t read yet but I‘ve heard good things about.

I've not been very good about posting lately 😔 but I hope to post more soon!
Here's my latest library haul!! Very excited to re-read The Raven Boys series. it's been a while since I first read it, and I'm getting excited for the new book (Call Down the Hawk) coming out in November. I pre-ordered the owlcrate box for it 🤩
Overall I really liked the story of this book, but did not love the way it was told. I kept feeling like I was missing something, like the author was withholding information for effect but withheld too much, and that made it hard for me to always follow what was going on. Even with that said, I know many people love this story, and I‘m excited to read book 2!
Give this all the stars. My new favorite! 11/30

1. Tagged - not sure why I haven't gotten to it yet, as I have really enjoyed other Stiefvater books I've read.
2. So many; I'm a huge rereader. Nora Roberts's Bridal Quartet has become a random comfort read for me haha
3. Somewhere around five billion, I suppose. :-D
4. I don't read a lot of nonfiction, but I'm currently plowing through Vietnam: A History by Stanley Karnow. It's been really excellent.
Blue is the daughter of a psychic; while she doesn't have this ability, she makes information 'louder' for those that do. Her mom can see dead people & for the first time, Blue does. Meanwhile, Gansey & his 3 friends from the local private school in Henrietta VA where Blue lives try to find out about a dead king that if awakened can brings powers to the person who succeeds at this. Blue becomes part of this odd group as they continue their quest.
I‘m still in full blown summertime sadness mode and can‘t seem to settle on what to read next. #Reread the Fever series or the Raven Cycle? Start a fun romance trilogy? Go with something else entirely?? Who knows what the day will bring! Oh the joys of being a reader, even when I‘m depressed, I have books to bring me little rays of joy.
Started listening to this today, so far so good. I know I‘m a bit late to the party. 🤷🏽♀️
We‘ve still been going on walks. I surpassed my step goal everyday this past week, except for Tuesday (less than 2,000 steps from it), but I still hit and passed my weekly goal of 77,000 steps because of the amount of steps I took the other days. I drank plenty of water, only drank 2 sugary drinks, but I didn‘t workout. I started intermittent fasting.
I forge who Barrington is but this description fits me to the T. 😱
Which Raven Cycle character are you?
Look at these dust jackets! Megmakesthings.com was recommended by @MaggieStiefvater herself and omg they are gorgeous 😍 they fit perfectly and with all of them wrapped over the original dust jackets (which are also gorgeous) they all still fit inside the box Maggie designed for the hardback set. I am in love with these ❤️
What the actual what? The ending was going great until the last sentence which was completely baffling and now I have to wait for the library hold to come in to figure out what it meant.
This book was definitely an easy page turner, with great writing, and I would have finished it in a day if I had the opportunity to.
Now to finish my coffee and get off my lazy butt and take Arthur for a walk. He‘s impatiently waiting in the entryway.
Just finished this on my kindle for #BBRC #teenangst #readerschoice I‘ve had this on my tbr for a while now and was just in the mind frame to read it 📖😋 so another one done for the challenge @LibrarianRyan
Took me a bit to get into this book and I almost bailed a couple times. I find it starts to get interesting towards the middle of the book and after that, it got interesting enough that I've placed a hold on the next book in the series at my library! Some characters I disliked at first I wound up adoring and vice versa with characters I initially liked. Overall decent afternoon read to pass time. I do love that the pet is named Chainsaw 😂.
I'm spending my last afternoon as unemployed listening to this book on Spotify and doing some cleaning around the house.. With the new job I'll have less time for my reading and posting here on Litsy, but I'll try my best 💪
(I love Will Patton as narrator!)
In this book there are so many ships I love. All the characters are amazing and completely different and have their own personalities. I did guess who the villain was in the beginning and by the end I was completely right. I‘m ready to continue with this series%
Not my favorite book out there, but a decent read nonetheless. This story follows a group of prep school boys and a local daughter of a psychic as they try to find lay lines. Trouble arises, especially when Blue, the psychic's daughter, who knows what her fate is suppose to be with these boys.
So I woke up with a migraine this morning. There is no way I‘m making any kind of goals today. My medication kicked in this afternoon though so I managed a bath in my garden tub and then decided to get a pedicure. I still feel awful, but it‘s more of a hungover feeling. Time to pick the goobers up and then I think it will be a quiet night. @laurenslibrary @Moony @CocoReads @imabusybee @Reecaspieces

A light Pilsner, kids playing, sun shining, watering plants and delving into a book. Some of my most favorite things wrapped into one! I‘m finally after I don‘t know how long the book had been on my shelf, I‘m cracking it open. I can‘t decide if I like Gansey or Adam more. I‘m only on chapter 5 though so it‘s still early.
I started The Raven Boys this week. I'm loving it so far! Maggie Stiefvater is fantastic as usual. Why do I keep waiting so long to start these great series? I mean, I was almost 40 before starting the Dark Tower. What's next, some kind of brilliant fantasy series by Robert Jordan or R.A. Salvatore?
Day 16 of #30junebooks was “Obsessed with”. I am obsessed with the Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater. I own signed copies of all of them in print, and I also own them all on #audiobook. I am such a fangirl that I even supported the Kickstarter for the artsy box designed by Maggie herself, and now I have this lovely boxed set!
How about you? Are you a fan of #TheRavenCycle?
I just finished my first reread of this book since I first read it, 3 years ago. Rereading favorites is always mildly terrifying: what if it sucks? What if my memory of it is way better than the actual book?
Luckily, this was fantastic the second time around as well!! Sharp dialogue, good pace, and some of the best characterization I‘ve ever seen in YA. The bond I formed with this characters... it still takes me aback!! 100% recommended.
So good. No joke. But I read all four of these books on my nook within two days years ago and now they blend together in my mind (and don‘t even seem real) so I want to reread them.
took advantage of that 40% off 👀 for physical copies. between bookcon and employee appreciation, my haul this month is gonna be so big.
Finished my second book of the #24B4Monday #Readathon, currently on 17 hours 10 minutes. Not sure if I will make the 24 hours.
This was a really good read and has set up the series, very intrigued to see how this series is taken forward in book 2 which I hope to read next month.
Not been able to do as much reading for #24B4Monday #Readathon due to the christening of my granddaughter, and then 400 mile journey to John O‘Groats. Just stopped for a rest break at Inverness (300 miles in). However have managed to get 6 hrs 48 minutes in today, and started this audiobook just outside Edinburgh. This brings my total to 12 hours 15 minutes. Will take a superhuman effort to get to 24 hours!
Will catch up on others posts tomorrow.
I could see this book playing like a movie in my head. It had great characters and the author was so subtly descriptive so that you don't realize she is infiltrating your brain. The book kept me interested throughout and there is no way I can't not continue with the series.
Just finished this today and I am really glad it was recommended to me!
What a fun idea, @Clwojick 💜💜💜 #bookishpinterest
1. Bookish fan art: Blue & Her Boys (top right)
2. A bookish gift: Diagon Alley mug by Cara Kozik (top left)
3. A quote: “With freedom, books, flowers, and the moon, who could not be happy?” - Oscar Wilde (bottom left)
4. And the rest of the pictures just make me happy!
5. TAG! @That-Bookish-Hiker @Eggbeater @JoScho @Chrissyreadit @riversong153 and anyone else who wants to play!
This book - amazing. I got it for my 16th birthday, but when I tried to read it then, I didn‘t understand anything and set it down. I‘ve only just now picked it back up and I‘m really glad I did. The characters and their relationships feel real, the plot is interesting, and I love the magic. My only - only - thing against this book is that it‘s a little too confusing for younger people. Maybe I was just dumb, but it was easier to read as an adult.
