Hey guys! I need help in making a TBR jar. Do you guys have any suggestions? Thaaank you!

DGRachel I bought a mason jar, cut colored construction paper into small strips (about 1" x 2 1/2"), wrote the title/author on the strips and folded them in fourths. I used chalkboard contact paper to create a label for the jar. 7y
anj-neophyte @DGRachel thaaank you! 😍😍😍😀 I'll start looking for materials!!! 7y
TheBookAddict The Grisha trilogy by Leigh Bardugo, Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo (audiobook was awesome!), I am Malala (young reader's edition), Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Rowell, Dumplin' by Julie Murphy, Georgia Peaches and Other Forbidden Fruit by Robin Brown, The Godfather by Maro Puzo, and Jurassic Park by Michael Crichton. Just a few of my most enjoyed reads in 2016. 7y

TheBookAddict 😂 sorry, I thought that you were asking for book suggestions. My mind is always on 📚...I would look on Pinterest for awesome ideas. 7y
anj-neophyte @TheBookAddict any suggestions are welcome! 😀😀😀😍 7y
anj-neophyte @TheBookAddict thank you for the book suggestions! I'll check them out! 7y
TheBookAddict @anj-neophyte lol, ok you're welcome. Oh and Americanah by Adichie. 😆😊 (edited) 7y
8little_paws I didn't feel like physically putting a jar together so I just listed my tbr books in a spreadsheet by rows and then used a random number generator online and read the book corresponding with that row number. Excel does random numbers too, =RANDBETWEEN(first number, last number) 7y
anj-neophyte @8little_paws Ahhh thats a good one too! Thank you! (I didn't know about the random numbers!) 7y
SiriGuruDevSingh I'll Give You The Sun by Jandy Nelson was FANTASTIC, if you haven't already read it!😍 7y
RebeccaLHoward I have a list of specific titles I plan to read, or re-read as the case may be, but what's in The Book Jar is for my random adventures in reading. Genres I normally don't read, A book with a blue cover, Very open ended stuff. Because my library might not have a specific title in stock, plus my grandson can help this way. 7y

Just wishing that if i bought the Paperback/hardcover of a book, I also get to have the ebook and the audiobook version of it. I don't know why I want to have it all but it makes me giddy when I imagine it. Think about owning every possible copy of the book. hahaha

The book was a pick but the movie is a bail. It saddens me that they changed the ending. The ending of the book is so perfect for me (idk why). I just liked how it all comes down to it. Especially the twists. They changed the virus thingy. I like how in the end all their efforts are wasted to come into the inevitable disaster. It's a quick fun read. Too bad they ruined the movie for me.

Looking at people's posts here in Litsy made me think that with all the reading I've done, I barely scratched the surface. There are so many wonderful books out there 😍

This book opened my eyes. When I was just starting to be addicted to books my friend recommended this to me. I was still *innocent back then. Thinking it would be just a romance, I gave it a go. I was so shocked at certain parts (u guys know what I mean). I still have no clue about those things so I was blushing while reading and is scared someone would know what I've been up to. In the end, I liked the story and skipped a few parts to finish it.

So I like reading in all kinds of formats that I can. Whether it be in an ebook or paper. The upside of ebooks is I can carry my library in a small wee device! 📚📚📚📚 Though the Best thing about Real books is when you can get it to be signed!📖 and of course smell the pages. How about you? Which one do you like the best? #Ebooks vs. #Books lol. 🐢

Btw, Please lie about this book.

KimSG #Books please! 8y
BooksRockMyWorld I love both! Both have huge benefits, and some flaws... Books have touch and smell, and for me reading in my native language comes with actual smell. Kindle is so practical, books are cheaper, much more to read, can get a book I want right away... I love living in an are where both books and e-books are so available. 8y
Theresa #Books. But I appreciate the convenience of #eBooks. And a well-narrated audiobook works wonders, too. 8y
See All 56 Comments
Laura317 I prefer an actual book unless A) driving or B) reading in the dark. Books just seem right, and the batteries never run down. 8y
lovelybookshelf I read physical books during the day, ebooks at night or in the dark (like in the orchestra pit!), and listen to audiobooks in the car, grocery shopping, doing chores, etc. Books are books, love 'em in any format! 8y
AndieReads I prefer physical books. 8y
DebinHawaii I love both! Nothing truly replaces the joy I get from turning the pages of a book but I love that I can tuck my Kindle in my purse and have so many books available at the touch of a button for whatever reading mood I'm in.📚❤️ 8y
Hornsby78 I like actual books and gave my Kindle to my mother after not turning it on for over a year. 8y
melbeautyandbooks I prefer #ebooks for sure. I can adjust the font and I don't need a light. I travel a lot and love being able to carry a ton of books on one small device. 8y
laurenkferguson Physical books for sure! There's something about holding the book and the pages that I just miss when I'm on an ereader (but of course I have one) 8y
Handmade_Redhead Ebooks are my preferred because i can change the font size and always have a library with me. I like physical books for anything with lots of pictures, or just for its beauty. Audio for memoirs and long drives. 8y
Cinfhen I soooo LOVE books and bookstores💞 Ebooks are certainly convenient but they just feel artificial 😕and don't get me started on audio books...I'm old school 😬but hey, any reading is good reading🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻 8y
acorter I also floop back and forth but prefer the analog variety. 8y
andreadmw Although I do love bookstores, libraries and all the tactile pleasures. The beauty of a real book. I am pretty firmly on team #ebook. For 2 major reasons: 1. ease of carrying many books for urban daily commuting and traveling. 2. Ease of frequently changing apartments in urban living. Bonus I do need to add: my elderly book nerd grandpa can read any damn book he wants in large font. 8y
Doubtfulsalmon I love both, and I find this compulsion to choose one over another to be silly. I use either format depending on my reading requirements or my mood. Both have their inimitable advantages. There shouldn't be a "versus" according to me. 8y
Doubtfulsalmon And I love audiobooks too. With the right narrator, the experience is just fantastic. And listening to books is a great help for people who are slow readers. 8y
Linsy I'm torn when it comes to this question. I love pulling a book off the shelf and holding a physical book while reading, but I also love having a book at my fingertips wherever I am! Without fail, no matter what format I'm reading in, I run into a situation where it would be better to be using the opposite, lol. 8y
readingjedi A book, an ebook, the back of a cereal packet. If the story grabs me, the delivery is irrelevant. 8y
madyjune I like both but I prefer actual books these days. It's not easy to get English books in my country because they are expensive to buy and books written in my native language are not available in Kindle edition. So I usually read English books with my Kindle while I buy Burmese books from the bookstores. 8y
wildfireheart #books all the way, but yes #ebooks are much more convenient and I have one myself, which I mainly use when going on holiday. 8y
shawnmooney I am a slut for books, and gorge myself on physical books, e-books, and audiobooks. Always have at least three of each on the go at any one time! :) 8y
Megabooks I usually do ebooks because it's difficult for me to hold up large paper books. I'm just now getting into audio! 8y
andireja Definitely books. Although - of course - I have an ebook and love it for its practicality. But it just doesn't feel like a real book! 8y
Gayan I'm with @readingjedi , I will read any way I can, it's the content that I worry about. 8y
SharonGoforth I read any way I can! 8y
ReadingEnvy I absorb more in a print book. When I read eBooks (and I read a fair number) my brain starts feeling like it's a race to swipe next page next page next page. 8y
Davor I like both, but I prefer physical books. Being able to smell the pages and feel the book gives me more satisfaction than ebooks, although they are more practical. 8y
quirkyreader I like all formats. The plus about ebooks is you can read things that are wayyyyyy out of print and are hard to find and very expensive. Audio books can go almost anywhere and don't get wet in the tub or covered with food while eating, and paper books are wonderful when you want to read at the end of the day and don't want to look at a screen. 8y
queerbookreader I actually can't read ebooks because staring so intently at words like that on a screen gives me really bad headaches. I can read like 15 minutes tops on an ebook and then my head starts to kill, so I have to put it down and I can't get a lot of reading done that way. I stick to print bcz of that 🙈 8y
britt_brooke I am hopelessly addicted to the convenience of my Kindle. I love physical books, too, but I read probably 75% ebooks. 8y
Marie_KN I love books.....but....traveling with a kindle means taking a lot with you and its light! I love both options! I do have to read on a kindle because other ereaders hurt my eyes. 8y
sarawrrr13 I'm about 50/50! My Nook is just more easier to carry around! Plus digital library books are a life saver when you don't live that close to the actual library! 8y
amywithbooks I am about 50/50. When I need to tighten the purse strings a bit, I rely on physical books from the library. But when a new book I'm dying to read comes out I'll download it right away. I also stalk kindle deals and am a sucker for a book that is $3.99 or less! 8y
Kathrin I love both, but am always happy when the library has the books that I want in ebook format. That saves me a lot of trips! 8y
TheLudicReader I am 100% physical books. My brother gave me an ereader a few Christmases ago and it irritated the crap out of me, so I passed it on. :-) 8y
BoldCityBooks This makes me happy to see I'm not the only one that does this. I have an iPad and a kindle Paperwhite that I flip back and forth between when I read. 8y
Annl I like paper but have an kindle to check out samples and buy good deals now and then. I have read about 3 books on my kindle but always feel a little dissatisfied, like I am missing something? 8y
kay89 I'm a print book person. We are liars is about a rich New England family who owns a ski resort which the sisters squabble over. When one of them turns up dead, Anna must discover the truth about her family. 8y
Luv2readbookz I will read paper and ebooks. And sometimes audiobooks. I'll even listen to a book while reading it. My husband thinks I'm crazy but it really makes a book come to life. 8y
DrexEdit I love print books best 📚📚 but read ebooks for the ease of carrying them around. Sometimes I'll get the same book as a print and ebook and read the print book at home and read the ebook at work on my phone. 8y
Tanner For my own book collection, I prefer print, but I the books I borrow from the library are almost all eBooks for the convenience factor. 8y
TrishB Have a kindle for travel , but love print books rest of the time. 8y
DGRachel When I moved every couple of years and rented, I switched to almost exclusively eBooks. Now that I own my home, I'm rebuilding my print collection. I like eBooks for their portability and convenience, but there's just something comforting about rows and stacks of print books. 8y
ErinKatherine I sooooo much prefer print books and I like to own everything I read but I've been living in Thailand for the last 9 months and ebooks have been my savior. You can't beat the convince and being able to check our lives books via your kindle is just amazing. 8y
holly4619 I get ebooks from the library for the convenience. If I'm buying, it's print only. 8y
JacqMac Print books are my favorite. But I like being able to carry ebooks. Always having a book in my pocket is amazing. I also have issues with dirty library books, so being able to borrow nice clean ebooks is great. And I can do it without leaving my house. In the middle of the night, if I need to. 8y
gibblr I do print books, ebooks, and audio books. I usually only buy ebooks when they are 3.99 or less, and I check out audio books with Overdrive. I prefer print books. I like to see stacks of them, I like to see their covers whenever I close them, I like to turn pages, I like tracking my progress by seeing where my bookmark is...I'm weird! 8y
KerriArista I still love a real book the most. But for travel, I like my kindle. I have loads of books on my kindle that I don't get around to reading tho- it's just not as enticing. 8y
AmandaV I would love to have bookshelves overflowing with books but I just don't have the space so ebooks it is. Plus ebooks are better for when your reading at work but trying not to look like your reading ☻ 8y
Cathy12 I am almost all Kindle and audiobooks now. Who doesn't love physical books, we all started out loving them. But I have been seduced by having all my TBRs with me all the time on my kindle and by the convenience of listening while doing household chores, walking or driving. I read about 5 books a month now, and before that maybe one or two. And, lord help me, no more humiliation at returning books late to the library! 8y
KellyKate I'm all about both. I read a book-book every single day when home or out and about and I read on one of my (7!) kindles every single night in bed- love the back light and it's so lightweight! When I leave the house I have a book and either a kindle or a nook (3!) at all times. I support both formats. Can't do audio tho! I also buy both books and ebooks weekly. 8y
KellyKate @JacqMac I can't read a library book either! The due date messes with my head! Plus I think about where it's been and what has touched it and the OCD kicks in! 8y
TheSloanRanger I read a lot of ARCs so I'm usually reading on my old Samsung tablet. I have all my favourite books in actual book form though - I love a loved book, and the story it gives them. Though that's maybe just my excuse for how terrible I am for folding down corners and spilling food on them... 8y
ummlilia I read anything but I can't get on with audio books. My mind wanders... 8y
Roos I enjoyed this, but I really looooved Frankie Landau-Banks. Have you read that one as well? X 8y
I-read-and-eat I prefer paper books. I can only read fot an hour on an e-readers. Thinking about giving audiobooks a go. 8y

anj-neophyte @Thenovellife Really? That's so cool. I don't know much about buffalos but they're sure are tough. I guess the patronuses involves all kinds of animals. Will there be instects? Whatbif my patronus is a bee? Hahaha 8y
