Very unusual book. Definitely a lot of twists. Surprise ending.
Very unusual book. Definitely a lot of twists. Surprise ending.
It was good, but it was a bit confusing. The end finally makes it all work.
I was extremely disappointed with this book. It had been on my TBR for a while. I kept waiting for the twist everyone was raving about and was going to give it until 150 pages. At 140 it was “revealed” but made me feel more tricked than twisted. I thought I could get over it, but when the ex-wife just kept whining, I‘d had enough. It would have been okay if I expected a straightforward domestic thriller.
A story detailing marital abuse and the lengths someone will go to for control. The ending caught me off guard, but the craziest part (to me) involved the sister. I won‘t say more than that. If you like domestic thrillers, you‘ll probably enjoy this book.
This audiobook was well narrated, and that's a little tough given the complications in the story. Good plot twist in the Epilogue, don't miss that or you'll miss the crux of the story. I think I need to go back and listen again because half way through things aren't as you assumed. #listyAtoZ2022 for W
Book 32
I listened to The Wife Between Us, an engaging thriller about an abusive marriage with multiple surprising twists, one early on and the other late-in-the game. I enjoyed it more than I'd expected.
I wanted to be blown away by this one, but unfortunately I wasn‘t ☹️ I‘m giving it a soft pick because there were lots of twists, but by the end I was just worn out and wanted it to end. Some things were predictable and some I‘m still scratching my head about (the sister) This is my first book to read by these authors and I‘ll give them another go. Maybe I need a break from psychological thrillers 🤷♀️

What I thought was going to be the big reveal came to fruition in Part 1, certain aspects were predictable, some shocking, some were absolutely bonkers. Lots of good twists.
A woman struggling after divorce becomes obsessed about exhubs new young fiancé while guzzling wine &dealing with the reality of being broke in NYC. She finds him manipulative, but she has orchestrated deceptions of her own, how can she get his new bride-to-be listen to her?
I got to the twist I was waiting for… but there‘s a solid 225+ pages left in this book… where do we go from here?
😬😬😬

I have missed reading on the porch! Mississippi weather is crazy! It‘s going to be 71 degrees today and a low of 26 tomorrow! 🤪
I‘m a mood reader so I didn‘t read my #Bookspin selection, but I‘m enjoying the tagged! My first by these authors!

Okay, the beginning of the story was really captivating, but after the first twist it started to fall a little flat. The concept was great, but it could have been executed better I think. Also some of the side plots took up too many pages (like Maggie and Jason). The final twist had me rolling my eyes. Come on really? And the whole thing w/ his sister was a little off-putting. So was she in love with her own brother? Ugh. It had potential tho..
Book 2/25 for this year so far! I highly highly recommend this book to anyone who loves books with twists.
Starting a new book! Haven‘t heard anything about this one so I‘m excited 💍
Listened to audiobook. Started out thinking one thing, then twists and turns just kept coming all the way until the end! Enjoyed this one.
The twists & turns are better than any roller coaster I‘ve ever been on! Loved it!!
I am glad I gave this one another chance in audiobook format. It felt like listening to a true crime podcast, I was hooked. Plot is clean and it keeps you guessing till the end. The unreliable narrator angle really works for this story.
My #BookSpin for this month, a good read but not great. Quite a few twists and an unexpected ending but overall I felt it had a lot of parts that could have been omitted and made it shorter and more dynamic, I would have enjoyed it more as a novella. Still a pick, barely one though.
I was also able to finish a #BookSpinBingo, here is my board. Thanks @TheAromaofBooks for pushing me to read more, can't tell you how much I appreciate it!
Maybe I‘ve just OD‘d on psychological thrillers. I was intrigued by the story and finished the book. Maybe I‘ve read too many books with rich, too good to be true, rich, handsome men. Think I‘ll take a break from thrillers for awhile and read a nice, interesting book that I can leisurely read. Good, not great. I think the twists were ok.
This was ok. Started a bit slow, a million things happened in the end, and the epilogue changed everything. It yielded moments of curiosity and interest but overall, a bit generic and predictable. Prob won‘t blow anyone‘s mind but worth a read!
Also check out this cute fox in a local art studio 💕 they also had an adorable wee raccoon.

Loved this! Such a great read with lots of twists. I was hooked!
I have had this book on my bookshelf for months. I finally started this one and my first thought was dang I have had this book just sitting there. Seriously I didn‘t want to put the book down. Go get this one. You won‘t be disappointed.
I‘m working two 16 hr doubles in a row, and doing a shortchange shift on Monday... so I‘m going to need all the audiobooks to keep me awake during these long shifts. I‘m starting off with this one, and then moving on to Mr Nobody. Let‘s see how many books I can crush during my 5 shifts in 3 days 😅😂
Umm wow I wasn‘t expecting so many twists in this book! I loved every single second of this book right from the beginning.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I didn't love it but didn't hate it either. Suspense novel about a woman escaping from her abusive husband with some predictable twists along the way.
Happy Valentine‘s Day!
I hope you all spend it loving on yourself whether you have a significant other or not
Finally going to read this one. On my TBR shelf for quite some time.
Feeling much better about #BFC21
1. Finished 3 books so far this month, and over 50% through with my nonfiction read of the month to make it 4.
2. Still alcohol free. 🙌🏽
3. Hike #6 planned for tomorrow. I also started a weekly short run meet up with some girlfriends... today made #2 but I really hope to keep it going.
Wow! This one was good! I‘ve never had my opinion of a MC do a complete 180 that way it did in this book; the ways and depths to which the lives of these women intertwined had me dropping my jaw right up until very end.
I was happy, I think, but I wonder now if my memory is playing tricks on me. If it is giving me the gift of an illusion. We all layer them over our remembrances; the filters through which we want to see our lives.
I'm still not sure how I feel about this one. I understand the way the shifting perspectives contributed to the overall suspense of the book. I just didn't really enjoy it. The final twist was fabulous and unexpected. I think that storyline could have been explored more and created an intriguing story. This didn't knock my socks off but it was entertaining.
⭐⭐⭐.5 This book was different than I expected, but I liked it. It didn't have quite as much suspense as I was anticipating, but it had some good twists and it kept me entertained.
It took a me week to read this book. It was ok but wasn‘t as good as their book “You are not Alone.” It was entertaining and somewhat predictable.
Not quite ready for bed so i‘ll sip some tea and start this. I‘ve had it for a while so why not dive in. 🤷🏾♀️🙂
A very intriguing mystery! I really liked the writing style and different povs.
I had to post this wonderful surprise mail Ingot yesterday from Misty. It came in such fun, festive Halloween wrap! Also came on a day I needed a pick-me-up, as I was home alone waiting on news of my mom's surgery.
Surgery was long and there were some issues found but she came through and is in the hospital recovering. It's hard not being able to go see her but I should be able to talk to her on the phone tomorrow.
I felt kind of blah about this one. It was on a list of titles with killer twists, so my expectations may have been unfairly high. There were plenty of twists, but they left me underwhelmed – I didn‘t experience the highs and lows I expect from a thriller. That said, it was well written and a different reader may really enjoy it.
Don‘t bother with this book. It was so boring I had to re-read the synopsis to jog my memory on what it was actually about. I think I must of blanked it out.
This book had more twists and turns than a road going through the mountains! It was so good! Definite pick!
I thought I had it all figured out!!

Predictable with an underdeveloped storyline and poor character development. Given the subject matter it seemed to be lacking emotional depth.
Not completely loving the audio. Reads too much like An Anonymous Girl. A little too removed and dispassionate to draw me in to the story.
