pickVery good. Sequel to The Notebook. Loved how you got to see how the characters from the first one are getting on but is still it's on story. Full of romance and emotional moments. Didn't see the twist at the end but it was so good.

Noah and Allie had a love story that will last eternity, but their daughter Jane and her husband Wilson seem to have a flickering candle.
Happy news arrives that their daughter is engaged! With Noah not getting any younger, everyone agrees to speed up the wedding.
Could the wedding also bring Jane and Wilson close again?

I swear I read this book years ago but couldn‘t remember much about the plot. As it turns out, I didn‘t remember the ending either so it was a good thing I didn‘t dump it right away.

I'm getting married in less than 2 weeks and obviously part of the planning involves picking the book I want to read during that time. I would love some suggestions. It doesn't have to be about marriage (but maybe not divorce!) - just a fantastic book that I will remember fondly. A tall order?
so-soAfter 30 years of marriage, Wilson decides to rekindle the flame that he and Jane had as newlyweds. The way he goes about this would be called ‘romantic‘ by some but I think it was kind of creepy and unsettling. I guess I don‘t have a romantic bone in my body. Way too sappy for me.

Tomorrow marks the month mark, you guys! One month until my wedding! Hollllly mollllly 😱 How is it that I am STILL finding things that I want to make last minute. Today I ran to the thrift store on my lunch with @Jgally and I came across a BUTTLOAD of fake flowers, so I bought them all to add some colour to our ceremony at the library. 🤗
(Also they all came with the original tags still on them, and I got $423 worth of flowers for $20) 🤑😏😍

What I did for my #bookishwedding! Kept everything simple, this was pretty much all we did for decorations. Used the checkout cards/box as a guest book. Ordered the cards blank (just googled for a pack), got the name stamp from Vistaprint I think, and our church had a date stamp that we borrowed. Stained a small square wooden box from Hobby Lobby and added the little name plate after w/a slip of card stock inside. Details on plants in comments!
