The final book in Evie and Christopher‘s love story. These two have been through so much. They are clearly soulmates and Elisabeth Garner sucks you into the world so thoroughly that you feel like you‘re going through all of it with them. This story is beautiful.

Crows remember human faces. They remember the people who feed them, who are kind to them. And the people who wrong them too. They don‘t forget. They tell each other who to look after and who to watch out for.

This was a cute quick YA romcom. Bit of a combination on the enemies to lovers and friends to lovers. I enjoyed it.
I loved this book. The friendship between Tabitha and her girls. The love between her and her grandmother. The fierceness with which she lives her life! Her refusal to give up her plan for life even if it had to change slightly! Loved it! https://heartandsoulbooks.blogspot.com/2022/03/black-girls-must-die-exhausted.ht...

This novel examines family, loyalty and values while leading you through actual historical events with real characters. I'm honestly upset I haven't heard of Germaine De Stael before.

This last novel in the trilogy took me a little longer to get into than the first two, but once I was in, I was hooked. I could not put these books down. They are incredible!

It's been a minute, or possibly ever since I only read one book at a time. This year I'm trying something different and I have been loving being fully immersed only in this world.
Laini Taylor has been drawing me in so completely. Karou is badass, and honestly so is Zuz. I love her characters, I love these books and 2 days after finishing the second I'm already halfway through the third.
This book was soooo good it had me instantly grabbing for the next one
Still just as good as it was the first time

Finally catching up on some book reviews...these are completely out of order as I go through the growing pile of finished books on my desk.
I absolutely love @booksbyemgarner writing. She writes life. You connect with her characters and feel like you are one of them. Not a specific character but another one in the room with them. I loved this book, I can't wait to keep reading her series.
Happy Spooky Season...even though it's almost over...what can I say, I'm behind. Though I would read this book any season of the year, it was lighthearted yet suspenseful and so much fun.

I loved this novel, to me it was more self-love than romcom. While there is a romance aspect to it, there is also family drama. But, the most important part to me is the main character learning to love herself and prioritize herself.

This one officially comes out on August 31st and I highly recommend.
This book was incredible...and heartbreaking. The amount of stuff this woman went through and to kick some major ass and get her PHD, just wow that is all I have to say.
Just kidding I always have more to say for my full thoughts see: https://heartandsoulbooks.blogspot.com/2021/08/educated.html

Do you have that one person who recommends a book and you instantly know it‘ll be good? I have 3 such people. One of whom texted me today while I was at the park with my nose buried in another book, telling me I should read this one. Ironically when I checked my library app moments later the audiobook was available, soooo I while I set up some tlc I dived into tara‘s story.
We should all strive to be more unapologetically ourselves. I loved the underlying theme in this book that reminded me constantly to ignore people's underestimation of me, be myself, not apologize and most of all, be happy.

I was so excited for the release of this book in the past week. It's been 12 years since the events of the henna artist. Malik is a grown man, in love with a tribal woman from the Himalayas. Lakshmi works with Dr. Kumar and has married him. Malik is in Jaipur investigating the events of the theater collapse

This is one of my favorite novels. Opening its pages again was like returning to an old friend. Lakshmi's life is turned upside down when her 13 year old orphaned sister joins her in Jaipur. Suddenly the life she has built for herself begins to crumble and she must decide what is truly important.

This book is such a cute adventure. Roxy learns that she can communicate with and see ghosts when her grandfather appears in her room hours after his death. She then begins her mission to help the ghosts complete their final task to cross over, including finding the body of a young girl killed in her school several years back.
I love, love, loved this book. I could not put it down. I was fortunate to receive an ARC of it, it's coming out on July 1st. Mark your calendars because you NEED to read it!
This novel is fun, it's sweet, it's full of adventure and villains that are perfect to hate.

Robin doesn't believe in love...until she stumbles into Red, her vampire soulmate. Then everything changes. Robin not only becomes a vampire, but an elite breed that is almost extinct, providing her with special powers to help save Red's clan.

This novel follows Rosalie a young English Nurse and Charles a French Soldier during the first world war. They meet and soon fall in love as we travel with them through the harrowing times and horrifying truths of their lives at the time.

My 4th read for #indietbrtakeover was this hilarious romantic comedy. I loved reading about a fellow socially awkward, clumsy girl. It was lighthearted and fun and I definitely enjoyed it.

My third finish was “Werewolves, Jez & Cole“ by L.C. Miller. This book was a fun read, super cute and super frustrating love story. A giant mystery, danger and family.

Call me a sucker for books about books but I loved following Emme through her discovery of her hidden gift. Time traveling through books to record important moments of history? Yes freaking please. I have a ton of questions about why haha that are completely irrelevant to the story but that I hope the next two books will answer.

This novel was such a fun quick read. Perfect for a reading slump. I Jenny is going through a crushing break up with her long time boyfriend. Charles is her boss and she hates him. Through a funny turn of events the two end up together and it is beyond adorable and more than a little bit steamy.
