Dance Upon the Air | Nora Roberts

Pickpick

Finished tagged book, a nice old school contemporary #romantsy listen. Nora Roberts is always good for a comfort read. Accomplished both of my #bookfitnesschallenge goals - 164 minutes of exercise this week! Also two audiobooks finished. Starting Daisy Jones & the Six which just came off hold from the library. @wanderinglynn #bfc

This was refreshingly similar to cishet Regency romances, but with a bisexual male character and a non-binary cross dressing character! I really liked the dynamic between the leads (stiff, aristocratic Alistair who doesn't know how to love and easygoing playful loyal Robin). Sebastian succeeded in writing their relationship in a way that didn't conform to hetero dynamics despite the fact it's about a cis man and an AFAB person. Great bi rep!

Racing through this series. Always love Aguirre and she doesn‘t disappoint. Great world building, three dimensional characters, complex relationships, good pacing, plenty of action. You always want things to work out for her characters, good guys and bad guys. She‘s done scifi and fantasy and has thrillers on the horizon.

American Prince | Sierra Simone

The rain finally stopped, so I was able to take Peri on a walk after work. While walking, I listened to the first 2 episodes of American Squire by Sierra Simone on the Read Me Romance podcast. Simone always writes brilliant characters, so I'm very much enjoying this audiobook. #audiowalking #romantsy

SW-T Not familiar with Read Me Romance so I‘ll have to check it out! Great plug 😊 2d

A pick but almost a so-so. Thea Harrison is one of those authors I *should* like but struggle with. I like her worlds (world? Does she have multiple?), characters, and storylines but her books are just so darn long! There‘s a lot of repetition and what is with the changing perspective from paragraph to paragraph? It was a great opposites attract and a super alpha male if that‘s your thing. I both read and listened to it depending on my mood.

I'm not a big audiobook listener, but I'm going to listen to Sierra Simone's newest on the Read Me Romance podcast. I can't wait for August when it comes out in ebook. I'm impatient that way. 😏 #romantsy

Mehso-so

There was a little bit of a contrived feeling to this one - some of the characters actions seemed to be solely for the sake of creating conflict and didn't really make sense. However, it's a fast paced, interesting story and the introduction of a female werewolf was good. #romantsy

I struggled with this one. There‘s so much going on and I didn‘t love the characters. #romance #romantsy

LaurenReads @CoverToCoverGirl I loved Envy and Covet, this one I struggled with, but I‘m going to keep reading the series! 4d

Ruin of a Rake | Cat Sebastian

Pickpick

This one was my favorite of the three Turner novels, which is saying a lot. I mean, seriously great characters, tight plot, lots of ups and downs and some very sexy scenes! Cat Sebastian has made me a M/M romance fan! If you like Regency romance, this one was especially heavy on the etiquette and snide conniving I love about the genre. (I don‘t know why I love a well-mannered insultfest, but god I do!) Do recommend. #romantsy 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
