Book #59: I delayed my entire November TBR to read this book before the show came out. It took me nearly the whole month to read it because I didn‘t have a ton of time to read this month and it dragged. Upon watching the show, I‘ve come to find out it‘s not much like the book at all!! I don‘t mind slight differences but jeez…. I‘m planning to pause on reading this series and maybe come back to it later on.
What. The. Actual. FUCK!?!
I wasn‘t expecting a perfect book-to-screen adaptation, but THIS is inexcusable!!! 🔥🤬🔥 The husband and I suffered through the first episode and I can guarantee we won‘t be putting ourselves through anymore of it. If you‘re a WoT fan and haven‘t watched it yet, save yourself! If you haven‘t read the books yet, PLEASE don‘t judge them by this joke of a show.
I‘m going to go cry over my precious copies of the series now…
HAPPY WHEEL OF TIME DAY! 🎉🎉🎉🎉 Who else is going to start watching the new show today?! I can't wait to get home and start it! I've got very high expectations! 😁 What character are you most excited to see onn screen? For me, it's for sure Nynaeve, who is my absolute favorite character! 💕📚 MAY THE DRAGON RIDE AGAIN ON THE WINDS OF TIME! 🐉 @DaveGreen7777
Thanks for the tag @TheRiehlDeal
1- I'm really close to finishing #Booked2021 and would have finished my Goodreads goal but I decided to add to it instead.
2- I would like to read the Eye of The World before the Wheel of Time begins on Amazon but I don't see that happening.
1. For this month I read my Bookspin book. That‘s it as I have been travelling alot.
2. Eye of the World. I see it‘s been made into a TV series and I always like to read the book first. So it‘s my next ebook.
I tag anyone who wants to play!
This Friday Amazon is starting the Wheel of Time Show, and it looks really good! I told myself that I am not in any way committing to the 14 book series, and I started the audiobook. It immediately sucked me in! I already am 9 hours in, and I see why it is so loved. I can't wait for the show now!!
I swear he is thinking..."just put the dang book down & pay attention to me instead. I am clearly more important."
After finishing everything Sanderson, picked up this series that Brandon Sanderson finished after the death of Robert Jordan…
I remember enjoying this years ago. After seeing the Amazon trailer, I decided to revisit by audio! Let‘s see if it holds up.
Since the TV Show is coming out soon....I have finally decided to read the first book in this beloved series. I'm not sure if I'm going to read the entire 14 book series. But, I will give this first book a shot. Has anyone read this book and the entire series?
Bk1 of September & Bk10 of #LittensDressedInBlood is done! Took me a few hours to finish this #ChunksterChallenge book, I‘m attempting a reread of the whole series before the start of the TV show(which I‘m hoping doesn‘t screw it up too much!)The best, & longest, fantasy series I‘ve ever read, I bought every book as it was released & have read them so many times over 30yrs they‘re now falling apart, which is why I bought this Anniversary Edition.👇
#LittensDressedInBlood #Day3 #HungryLikeTheWolf Most high fantasy epics have wolves in one way or another, from the direwolves in ASOIAF to Perrin & his wolves in this epic series. Then of course there‘s werewolves in series like Anita Blake, Mercy Thompson & Sookie Stackhouse just to name a few. Wolves of all kinds are beautiful misunderstood animals that are an important part of any ecosystem, including fictional ones!🐺
I finished it! I did enjoy it, though there was times it was a slog, the ending did make me want to eventually continue. It took me a long time to dive into this classic and I‘m glad I did. Great world building, but story does tend to be a bit slow and meandering. Basically typical book 1 of any fantasy series. 😉 4⭐️
This was my #doublespin pick and another square of my #bookspinbingo #epicfantasy 2nd book done for #20in4
I stopped at my town‘s #LittleFreeLibrary today and found the first nine books in this series. I grabbed the first three. I‘ve never read this series before, but I keep hearing about it here. This is definitely a #blameitonlitsy !! :)
Not my photo, but still my favorite way of showing people what they‘re getting into if they‘re going to read this series. 😅 My first attempt was in high school and I believe I got to book 5 or 6 and then got distracted and didn‘t return to it and start again until 2019. The Slog is a very real thing, but they‘re all still very worth it. ❤️🥰❤️
Found it! @The_Penniless_Author
For this month‘s #20in4 I‘m going to:
Try to finish The Eye of the World - 549/782 pages which is also my #doublespin
& Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo for a #bookspinbingo
Then two fun romance reads that I‘ve heard good things about!
Thanks for hosting @Andrew65
Guys, The Eye of the World was everything I hoped for. It had such a woodsy, rustic feel that I just adored. One thing I want to mention is Jordan was a fan of his descriptions, so that might be a turn off, depending on your taste. I have fallen in love with this world and the characters and I can‘t wait to get to the next book.

Tv show coming out soon, so decide to get started, I love Brandon Sanderson, which is why I got interested in this series, really liked the first book felt like a nice adventure. Excited to work my way through the series, heard it has some problems but excited to read a complete series for once ! 😄
Finally got around to starting this series. I wanted to get the first book done before the TV show starts in November.
Wow. Seriously. Why did it take me this long to finally get around to this?
What was the first fantasy book you ever read? Mine was A Game of Thrones.Seriously. At the time I picked it up I didn‘t even like fantasy. Talk about culture shock. I didn‘t understand half of what I was reading. Again, I didn‘t like fantasy yet. So I put it down. But then I picked it back up and it stuck. I‘ve been a fantasy reader ever since.
The TV series is out in November and it focuses on Moraine?! Oh man, i am really behind in finishing these books. Like, years behind 😂. I remember when I thought special effects would never be up to the challenge of this series!
FYI, if you're thinking of catching up, like me, the first five books are currently $4.99 on Kindle...
I am still just sitting here giggling like a madwoman because of how excited I am! 😁💞
LET THE DRAGON RIDE AGAIN ON THE WINDS OF TIME, Y'ALL! 🐉🐉🐉🐉🐉
A huge thank you to @DaveGreen7777 for bringing this to my attention today and making this Friday super magical! THANKS DAVE!
I promised myself I‘d reread the Wheel of Time once I finished Averalaan, and the library had an express copy of THE EYE OF THE WORLD on audio just when I had a listening gap and a ton of work to do on this wee dragon. Yay!
This is my fifth time through it. As of 75%, I like it a lot more than I did in 2014 and a lot less than I did in 1996.
The dragon is for my cousin‘s new baby. I hope he and his wife find it cute, not creepy. #audiocrochet
#WyrdAndWonder Day 16 (belatedly) | page to screen
3 books in preproduction (I‘m SO excited about even the CHANCE of seeing them): Rivers of London | The Fifth Season | The Poppy War
1 I‘m secretly excited to see when it hits a screen near me soon: The Wheel of Time - yes my copy is battered, I read these to bits as a teen. I‘m so excited by the casting, it gives me hope they‘ll give the things that irritate me these days to a make-over too!
First up in a more in depth post about today‘s #bookmail is this gorgeous edition of the 1st Wheel Of Time novel. A beautiful silver hardcover with a ribbon bookmark,it‘s a worthy replacement for my battered 30yr old paperback. If you don‘t know the story, Rand, Mat & Perrin are young men grown up in the same small village of Emonds Field until Trollocs attack on Bel Tine, forcing the boys to flee with Moraine, an Aes Sedai(wielder of the One Power)
Well, I wanted an epic fantasy series spanning thousands of years to lose myself in for a while, and that's exactly what I got. There's a lot of traveling in the first half of this book, a'la LOTR, but enough intermittent action to keep you engaged. Some of the writing, at the sentence level, was pretty bad, at least early on. But things improve immensely by the end, and besides, with a series spanning 14 books and roughly 13,000 pages not every👇
Thanks for the #worldbookday tag @Ast_Arslan ! And please excuse my poor attempt at a collage 😁
Tagging @jdiehr @laurenashley @TheSpineView @DarkMina @MilicaS @Chelsea.Poole @NikkiM5 @CuriousG and anyone else who wants to share.
The sun is shining here in sunny Scotland!
I am having a friend round for some drinks in the garden tonight 🍷❤️
Also 300 pages into The Wheel of Time and loving this new world and characters.
“This far below Emond‘s Field, halfway to the Waterwood, trees lined the banks of the Winespring Water.”
Here is my plan for #20in4 readathon. This behemoth. I am determined to finally make some headway in this while I have a few days free from homework 😅 I don‘t think I‘ll manage 20 hours read, but I‘m hoping to at the very least get halfway through this thing. Fingers crossed. @Andrew65
📚 Nynaeve from the Wheel of Time series! She's controlling, grumpy, acerbic, and oh so bossy...but she's also the most loyal and hardworking character in the whole series (in my opinion)! She's flawed but she's my favorite!
📚 A Dance With Dragons by George RR MARTIN...WHERE'S THE NEXT BOOK GEORGIE?!?!
📚 Lots of times! 😃
Here‘s my reading plans for #FabulousFebruary hosted by the equally fabulous @Andrew65 I am very much behind on The Eye of the World so I‘m hoping to make a good dent in that as well as finish off a couple of these others. We‘ll see how it goes!
Well February #bookspin isn‘t playing around this month 😅 Out of all the months to give me both Wheel of Time and Malazan....the shortest month would not be the one I would have picked! Oh well. I guess we‘ll see if I fair any better with #bookspinbingo this month or not. @TheAromaofBooks
Book One of The Wheel of Time complete!
This was a great introduction to the series. I enjoyed the development of the characters. The pacing was almost perfect. The history of the land and people is presented in a natural way. The action-packed ending was pretty intense. There are many questions still to be answered...
Onto The Great Hunt!
Starting on another 2021 reading goal-The Wheel of Time.
