Today‘s #audiobaking on my mother‘s behalf involved banana cupcakes and the ganache to fill ‘em with. I did them gluten free this time because my aunt‘s coming to visit and she was recently diagnosed with celiac disease. Hopefully they turned out well. I‘ll find out when they cool off.

While on holiday I am starting book #13 of Wheel of Time. Just one more after this! I have to say it has become a lot easier to read after Brandon Sanderson took over.

Stopped at my local B&N today to browse! I came across these HUGE cardboard books 📚 Too fun!!!

Dug deep in the TBR stack for tonight‘s reading. I honestly don‘t remember how long this one has been sitting on my shelves but it‘s a really long time. 😬

My new reading buddy! Kicking off her reading journey at 8 weeks old—just two badass girls exploring new worlds from our home library. Dragons, starships, and talking animals await. She naps, I read—we‘re both living our best life.

It‘s my birthday! 🥳🎂 I‘ll be spending part of it participating in a buddy read of “The Eye of the World” with my wonderful friends @Branwen and @RaeLovesToRead This is my second time reading this book, and I‘m finding that when you know what happens down the line, some of the early chapters really hit differently… as you can probably tell by my reaction here! 😱

My mum wants soft ginger sandwich cookies for Mother‘s Day, so I did some #audiobaking this morning. It took me through a pretty big chunk of MIDNIGHT TIDES, which is probably my favourite volume yet of the Malazan Book of the Fallen. It‘s half extremely fun, half extremely dark.

This is a re-read, well re-listen (read by Pete Bradbury). I loved the series and want to revisit the entire thing.

Just as fascinating as I remembered it.
