I liked Aina, she was somehow so easy to relate to. There were also several morally grey characters and I always love those ones.

I really loved the world, it was ugly but so believable.

Writing felt sometimes too repetitive: there were some thoughts that narrator pondered several times and it felt a bit too much sometimes. But there was really hilarious banter as well.

This was really action-packed.

This book tells about impact of AIDS in Stockholm's gay community in the early 1980s. Several young men died and that's said this was devastating to read. I was so worried for characters who I cared about.

Sometimes I didn't like how the timeline changed suddenly, and sometimes only for couple of sentences. But sometimes it worked really well.

It is not interesting as the first book, but I like this book wondering concept very much esp in the land of fairy tales. Felt like an abrupt ending, may be reading the next one in the series ll help. 3⭐️/5

Like the first one this hadn't really a plot either. But this was light and fun read and their relationship has developed and continues doing so.

We‘re charging full speed toward the climax of this series, and nobody is safe. Apollo‘s redemption is also progressing, and I just hope he can retain the humanity he‘s built. There were some genuine moments of peace and laughter, too, which was a nice respite. #SeriesRead2022 @TheSpineView

It‘s time for the final battle for the soul of the Great Library. Jess & his friends have successfully taken the Library, but the former Archivist has decided if he can‘t control it, it‘s better to destroy the whole thing.

This was a disappointing finale to a fun series. It was fine, but the pace was constantly breakneck, & the climax didn‘t give me the emotional resonance I was seeking. I got more Khalila and Thomas, but I wanted more. 🌕🌕🌕🌗

ozma.of.oz Someone once told me that apparently this series was originally planned to be a trilogy but was stretched out to five, and it feels like it. #SeriesRead2022 @TheSpineView (edited) 5d

One of my local librarians suggested I read this book. I've had it on my TBR for years and I'm thankful she finally gave me the push to start this series.

The magic system in this world is so fascinating to me and Sanderson explains it well. I was unsure about the characters at first, but they all became such well developed parts of the story that I quickly became a fan.

Great start to a great series!

vivastory This was the first Sanderson I read & I loved it! The rest of the trilogy gets better with each entry IMO 5d

Perhaps the most heart-wrenching of the series so far, this volume deals with Charlie's mental health issues.

Finished my second #trappedonanisland read. This one was pretty good. I liked learning more of Ronan‘s background and family story. These are still good on audio and can‘t wait to pick up the next book.

Another charming adventure with Dex and Robot, seeking the answer for “What do humans need?“ The novella had a lighthearted feel throughout.
