Slow reading week but looking at these special edition always makes me happy, gifted by friends
Not book related but this show is hilarious, binge watched first 4 season over the weekend and its the most I have laughed in a while. Martin Short and Steve Martin are just perfect, And Selena is charming as always!!!
pickI can safely say that Backman is now on the list of my favourite writers after reading this one, loads of things going through my mind after reading this, it‘s highly recommended, please oh please add it to your TBR, you will not regret it!!!
I kind of disagree here, the part about failure but as a new parent this is a scary thought!!!
Just a few pages and I can sense that this will make cry!!! The sadness and tragedy are so palpable in only the first few chapters😢😢

pickThis would be extremely funny if it was not based on reality.All the things that you read about North Korean regime is mind boggling, just bonkers. The inside look at this hermit sealed nation was so fascinating and equal parts heartbreaking. Highly recommend everyone to read it!!

Only 50 pages in, this book paints a very grim picture of the 1980‘s SRI LANKA. The political turmoil, civil war mixed with greed, corruption, hatred. I knew this would be dark but I didn‘t expect ot to be so graphic. The author so far has done a fabulous job of describing the violence in those times!!!

pickI don‘t understand much about investigative journalism but this was very intriguing to read,the relentless efforts of every journalist and the brave women that came forward and shared there wordt experiences.
The 1st half reads like a thriller, its always 2 step forward 1 step back and the second half is like a research paper. Highly recommended!!!
