Pretty much! 😂
I loved The Bird Box, but had trouble getting into Black Mad Wheel, and Unbury Carol, so I was hesitant to try another Malerman novel. I‘m 16% done with the audiobook- so far, so good. 👌🏽🎧
Checked this one out on a whim. Hoping to get some pages read during my weekend off. 🤞🏽
Satisfying conclusion to The Passage trilogy. I borrowed all 3 audiobooks from the library, and wound up buying all 3 as physical books because of the impact the story had on me. Scott Brick is an amazing narrator to boot. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I was intrigued by the premise, and I breezed through the first part of the book. I struggled with the second part of the story, and quite frankly, was put off by Sloane‘s character- I just didn‘t like her, and found her internal struggle tedious, and monotonous. I didn‘t like The Ninth House either so I think it‘s me: I just don‘t care for adult novels written by YA authors. #unpopularopinion ⭐️⭐️1/2
I‘m really enjoying this series, and the narration is excellent. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2 👍🏽🎧
1) The tagged audiobook, Chosen Ones by Veronica Roth, and Things in Jars by Jess Kidd.
2) Three-way tie between The Passage by Justin Cronin, Darling Rose Gold by Stephanie Wrobel, and Recipe for a Perfect Wife by Karma Brown.
3) Not sure if Jack Ryan and Castle Rock count since they‘re not based on actual novels? Could be considered “book adjacent”?
#weekendreads @rachelsbrittain
Hoping to finish this one by the end of the month. 🤞🏽
