The critically acclaimed Audible Original narrated by Regina Hall, with a cameo by Mindy Kaling, now availebl in ebook and print formats! Trinity Jordan leads a quiet, normal life: working from home for the Hive, a multifunctional government research center, and recovering from the incident that sent her into a tailspin. But the life she's trying to rebuild is plagued by mishaps when Li Wei, her neighbor's super sexy and super strange nephew, moves in and turns things upside down. Li Wei's behavior is downright odd?and the attraction building between them is even more so. When an emergency pulls his aunt away from the apartment complex, Trinity decides to keep an eye on him...and slowly discovers that nothing is what it seems. For one thing, Li Wei isn't just the hot guy next door?he's the hot A.I. next door. In fact, he's so advanced that he blurs the line between man and machine. It's up to Trinity to help him achieve his objective of learning to be human, but danger is mounting as they figure out whether he's capable of the most illogical human behavior of all...falling in love.

Alyssa Cole can write one hell of a sci-fi romance! Despite the capitalist dystopian backdrop, this was a light, fun read that focused on the burgeoning relationship between former Hive employee Trinity & her new neighbor who happens to be a biosynthetic human-- not that she knows that yet! A nice touch of intrigue & action on top, but the story mostly focuses on the main characters and their feelings for each other which I thoroughly enjoyed.

Low pick for this one. An okay read, but I had trouble getting into the story.

The narration was good, though.

Cute! I enjoyed the storyline. I did not enjoy Regina Hall as the narrator. Love her as an actress, not a narrator.

I didn't care for the audio narrator for Trinity but otherwise I enjoyed this story. It is a futuristic sci-fi romance. Trinity is working from home recovering from an accident and makes friends with her new neighbor Li Wei. She finds out he is an A.I. and agrees to help him learn human behavior to blend in.

5feet.of.fury I liked this, it was cute and then got super weird/dystopian/scifi 2y

I finished this today while working on my art/reading nook!

This was a fun listen. Trinity Jordan is recovering from a trauma & lives in a futuristic apartment complex. She‘s leading a quiet life, at the moment. Her neighbor suffers an emergency, & Trinity looks in on the neighbor‘s houseguest who she‘s told is recovering from a head injury himself. However she finds there is another cause of his odd behavior. 🤖
Things get 🌶 & dystopian.

#weekendreading @Andrew65

Will probably focus on Nick Offerman‘s book today 🏔 unless I actually get to goodwill/Big Lots and end up working on my office/nook renovation.

Not much left in the A.I. Who Loved Me 🤖🌶 if that doesn‘t get finished today, it will on tomorrow‘s run.

Andrew65 Great choices. 2y

So this little read was recommend to me. It took the weekend to get through this 6 hour book. It started off slow, but it got spicy towards the end. I think the build up took too long. I enjoyed it. It was easy, to many voices but I did appreciate the effort. If you are looking for something to listen to/relax to this is it. Easy to follow and requires nothing but lounge chair, beverage, and willingness to relax. #ambw #woc #poc. 7 out of 10

The good news: I‘m vaccinated.
The irony: they paused J&J vaccines due to a rare blood clotting issue found in 6 women in the US.

I‘m choosing not to worry about it. In the meantime, I took the day off to rest thru the side effects: chills last night, then a fever, now the chills are back, plus I‘m all over sore. Part of my sick day Arsenal is this book (found it on Hoopla). I‘m a sucker for AI (settle down, peanut gallery!)

Eyelit I was worried about you when I saw the headline this morning! Hope the rest of your recovery is smooth and you enjoy the book 💜 3y
dariazeoli @Eyelit Feeling much better today, thanks! A little tired, so let‘s see if I can finish this one before 💤 ❤️ 3y

So unique! Cole has built a future world where The Hive runs most things. Trinity is recovering from an accident when she meets Li Wei, her neighbor‘s nephew. There‘s something different about him, but she doesn‘t realize he‘s not even human.

This story was so much fun to read. I loved seeing Li Wei learning to be more like a human. It was sweet to see how frustrated Trinity got with him, but how supportive she was as well. And that ending!

PurpleyPumpkin Looks like a fun read. Stacked!👍🏽📚 3y

I didn't see the ending coming but loved this quick, fun read! Alyssa Cole is so versatile... I really love her historical romance but that was a pleasant surprise.

ChasingOm I fell in love with her Reluctant Royals series — I haven‘t read any of her historical novels! 3y
annahenke @ChasingOm I highly recommend the Civil War era spy series! It‘s my favorite by her! 3y
