Kalalalatja @Cinfhen that sounds lovely! We are staying near a little gushing village called Kolymbari/Kolymvari (the spelling changes depending where you look) about 25km from Chania. There isn‘t a lot going on here, but the hotel is great, and we got an upgrade because of some trouble with our room, so we are enjoying it a lot! 6y

Cinfhen Truth is Israel has stunning beaches and gorgeous weather ( although VERY HOT) so it makes zero sense for us to travel to Greece during the crowded season 6y

Cinfhen And after my 26 hour travel day this past Sunday, I‘m not so keen to get back on an airplane in August 😉 6y

Kalalalatja @Cinfhen well, sometimes it is just about getting away from home (and chores!!!) that make vacation necessary, not the great beaches or weather. But I can imagine it makes it harder to choose where to go when you have everything you need in your own country. Denmark does have a lot of beaches, but without the warm weather, they aren‘t all that much fun 6y

Cinfhen I totally agree!!! And that‘s what I keep telling my hubby. It‘s exploring new places and a change of scenery but airports are vacation #buzzKill😫 we fly back on July 23. I forced myself to stay awake last night, so I went to bed at 10:30pm and I woke up at 5:30 this morning ( much better than 2:20 am Yesterday) 6y

Kalalalatja @Cinfhen they really are! We got stuck on a plane with three infants that weren‘t all that fond of flying. But luckily it was only a 3 hour flight, so no big deal. Hopefully you are past the worst of the jetlag now 🤞🤞 6y

kgriffith Anyone who‘s still having issues particularly re: WiFi, if you haven‘t yet, reset your router. It takes at least ten seconds of being unplugged, so don‘t just turn it off and on again! The likely problem is called "DNS caching." Basically, your system has cached the old location of the Litsy servers. @blondie @hyperashley @JoScho @Mdargusch (edited) 6y

Jerdencon I'm still having the same issues too and have tried everything. For some reason my wifi won't pick it up. So annoying to have to use data to get on litsy and it seems like there is no solution to the prob 😡 very frustrating 6y

Kaye Mine seems to work sporadically. It‘ll seem ok at times, then another issue will start. Currently, I can post, although it‘s slower to show posts, slower to see the comment thing on the bottom show I have comments, and in the area under where people type their original comment when they post, you can‘t see that there are other comments , like it used to say 12 comments... I‘m mainly using my iPad . Worked fine BEFORE . I don‘t do Facebook,or LT. (edited) 6y

I use my phone's data because it's unlimited so don't know if I can access Litsy with WIFI. I can see the issue for those who need to use WIFI. This upsets me that my fellow Littens are struggling like this. 6y

I agree about FB & that‘s my issue with so much of this: instead of finding a solution to information dissemination within the Litsy ecosystem like a thread publicized by individual users which currently works, we got stuck with the “logic” that “not all users have the 3rd party app LT so we‘ll choose the 3rd party app FB and discuss the future of Litsy there”... 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ 6y

I've got 200 pages left and I'm further convinced that 90% of books over 500 pages are unnecessarily too long. This is no exception. It's difficult to weave a tight and engrossing thriller in 800 pages and I think this book could have been better were it cut in half. It's my understanding that it is three books in one and that it's only the US edition that is published as one book. #slowburn #septembowie

Cortg I love big books and would prefer one big book rather than, say, a trilogy. I totally get why Series are broken up though.

This book, guys...I just can't even. I saw the documentaries. I knew how this ended. I still had trouble sleeping. It's chilling but facinating all at the same time. The above quote is my take on Jim Jones.
Constructive critsim?There was a lot of filler that just wasn't needed. Spots drug on that really didn't have to and points were repeated too often for my taste. So much could be said, so little space 😲😲

Cinfhen I ultimately bailed....it wasn't moving quick enough for me. And I already knew the ending #buzzkill 7y

FantasyChick @Cinfhen not gonna lie, it doesn't speed up. At all. I almost bailed a few times because it really was painfully slow. I really think the whole book could have been done in less than 300 pages. But, something just kept bringing me back and I had to finish it. 7y
