Decided I needed to read something trashy and this has come up a few times over the past little while, so thought I would give it a go.
The enemies to lovers trope always seems to work for me, as does the billionaire in shining armour. The heroine in this is not completely hopeless and the sex scenes were ok; my main problem is that there was not really much tension. The whole thing could have been half as long really.

Finished in October but it was a #bookspin for August. This is long but I really liked it. And the way it ended, I‘m going to need to pick the next book up!

Ooh my #2025readingbracket is filling up fast! My favorite this month was Shield of Sparrows and I used my last wild card spot for my second favorite this month Conform. I cannot make a decide between Onyx or Shield though. I just know one of them will be my favorite of the year!

The hype was alll real for me. This was right up my alley- a great epic love story, magic, TONS of secrets, great world building, and quite the cliffhanger ending! I was hooked, engrossed, borderline obsessed. 🤣 Might end up being my favorite book of the year. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Maybe 3 1/2? I really, really wanted to like this one. The book itself is gorgeous, and there‘s a map, so I bought it. I‘m a sucker for a map. The world-building was really cool. But the characters…I didn‘t like Nina or Patrick. Or Theo. Or anyone except Donnie. And I was expecting a LOT more spice; there was hardly any. But then again, if there had been more spice, I wouldn‘t have enjoyed it (👀) because I didn‘t like Nina or Patrick.

Who would I become if I wasn't at the mercy of men?
