2.5 stars, but try it for yourself. This is only the second book I read by Bradbury but I'm starting to think I'm just not a fan of his writing style. He gets a bit repetitive and always has at least one character that monologues and it just feels like a giant information dump. The underlying story with intriguing but I did find that I had to go back and re-read either a paragraph or a page or two to fully grasp what was the going on. ⬇️

Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick Maybe it's just me and I'm an idiot but this is just okay for me. I may watch the movie to see if this is one of the cases where I enjoy the movie better than the book.

I‘m not sure what to say about this book. Now that I‘ve finished it, I can‘t really tell you what it was about. Needless to say it did not make a lasting impression on me. I didn‘t hate, but I didn‘t love it, I‘m not even sure if I really liked it or not since I didn‘t seem to absorb any of the story. Maybe I‘ll try it again another time. This is my last Bradbury for the month, total 5 read. #AuthorAMonth #AAMRB

Emilymdxn I feel that way after a book sometimes! Like you finish a book and the only thought you can manage is ‘well that‘s a book I read‘ haha 4y

This was an interesting collection of stories. I especially enjoyed seeing the three versions of The Fireman evolved into Fahrenheit 451. #AuthorAMonth #AAMRB

For "required reading", this wasn't bad. Books are illegal. The firemen start fires, they don't put them out. I would've enjoyed a bit more world-building beyond this particular town. Part 1 was strong, but parts 2 & 3 weren't as great. Still, a good one to read. Interesting how Bradbury saw huge TVs with mindless programming being what made the masses happy. #AAMRB #authoramonth #bookspinbingo @Soubhiville @TheAromaofBooks

TheAromaofBooks I haven't read this one since high school and remember NOTHING. Definitely due for a reread! 4y

Fahrenheit 451 | Ray Bradbury

Pickpick

Fahrenheit 451 was the first Ray Bradbury I ever read, back in 6th grade. I loved it then, and I still love it all these years later. This time around I decided to read along with the Ray Bradbury readalong that was available for the centennial of his birth. That was a fun and unique experience. #AuthorAMonth #AAMRB

Who remembers Disney‘s adaptation of this classic? The movie was one of my favorite “kid friendly horror movies” growing up. As for the book, it took me back to my childhood and I can see why it made for such a fun adaptation. I listened to both the regular audiobook and the Colonial Radio Theatre production of it, highly recommend both. Now I need to track down the movie to watch it again. #AuthorAMonth #AAMRB #LittensDressedInBlood
