I don't have a pic as I listened to this on audio and just now remembered it was my #doublespin. I listened to this 43 hour audio in 6 days and did 2.5 1000 piece puzzles while listening! It's been a while since I read the last one and it was fun - ultimately 3 stars for me. Not sure if I will keep going - maybe will wait awhile! This was also my first book of 2022. @TheAromaofBooks

I must be more distracted in 2021. It took me forever to read Voyager this time. I feel like I got more out of it though. Things I had missed before: Claire's theory about loch Ness, the prophesy, and Jamie's betrayal. I'm hesitating to take up the next book, now that I know she's writing another book I'm not sure I want to race to the end and have to wait again. 😅 #reread4details

mandarchy @SeaToSkyes I'm not sure I'll really read it that deeply. It wasn't my favorite. You might just read the Wiki and then go on to the next book. Or I might just read the Wiki and go on to the next book. 4mo

I thought I'd savor some reading today, and was just at the part where Jamie and Claire have their biggest fight when my best friend called and said let's go to Ikea. We've been meaning to go since before covid and I need lots of shelving. Bad timing. Ikea is out of furniture. It was so weird!

Amandajoy Out of all the furniture? All ikeas? I was going to get bookshelves from there, is this going to be a problem? 4mo
mandarchy @Amandajoy check their website for availability before you go, unless you just want the meatballs. They haven't run out of those. Lots of empty shelves. 4mo

I'm rereading the Outlander books in anticipation of Bees release this fall. Voyager is by far my least favorite. In fact, I'm surprised that I ended up continuing with the books after this one, to be honest. Of course, I'm glad I did, because the series as a whole is in my top 3 favorites ever, but even this second time through I struggled.

mandarchy I just started this today and someone commented to me last week that it was their favorite in the series. I find it interesting in how tastes in reading are so broad amongst us. It's a reread for me as well and I just finished chapter one realizing that this is really where the Lord John stuff takes off - I have not read that series yet. I am not sure I want to make the commitment. 5mo
Traci1 @mandarchy I've read a few of the John Grey stories, and they're ok. I like him well enough, but not nearly as much as some fans seem to. 5mo

I liked this. I wanted to slap Claire and Jamie in the beginning.
Their love is sweet and strong and (to me) exists only within the covers of a book (and my imagination). I love their love and passion. Gabaldon does a great job of writing this. I still want more depth in the characters. They have it, it‘s there but Gabaldon isn‘t exposing it. I need to have it exposed.

So I finally finished this massive book. Although it wasn‘t my original #chunksterchallenge2021 (I‘m still working on that one...), it was definitely a chunkster. Coming in at 43 hours and 17 minutes (1,059 pages). It was good, but not the best in the series. I‘m glad I did this re-read as an audio. I will continue the series.

This my first finish for #20in4 and another finish for #seriesread2021. It also fits #Booked2021 with a MD/RN as MC.

Cinfhen Oh wow!!!!! That‘s HUGE!!!!! I‘m getting that #PageCountPhobia anxiety 😦 9mo

Slowly but surely making my way through this series. I am hoping to read them all before Bees gets released! Overall, I did enjoy this installment. I loved hearing Jamie‘s perspective, and Roger‘s as well. I heard DOA is a little slow in some parts so I‘m worried, but gonna read a few books before I start it. How did you like Voy & DOA?

Halfway through the 3rd book. Any Obsassenach‘s out there? I‘m reading through the books for the first time, watched the series about 4 times lol. It‘s gonna be a long droughtlander. But my goal is to finish by the time the 9th book hits, which she keeps changing the date on. I hope book 10 doesn‘t take as long 😩😩 I think that‘s the one everyone can‘t wait to read. It will be very bittersweet, I know. 😭

smalldogs_bigbooks2419 I‘m not sure what a obsassenech is, but my husband, mother in law and I love outlander. I‘m a few hundred pages into Drums of Autumn, and we‘ve seen the series several times. From what I understand, the author finishes and publishes a book about every 5 years. I‘m not sure when the last one came out, but we might be in for a very long wait. ☹️ 12mo

My favorite part of all the books in this series was when Claire goes back and finds him working in a print shop. I felt her nerves, anticipation, and overwhelming love. I cried through this whole part.

In this book there is plenty of what I love: drama, romance. history, adventure and Claire and Jamie. As always, forces beyond their control lead them to new places but they find people from their past. It is beyond exciting!

I‘ve been slowly making my way through the Outlander books this year. They‘re chunksters so I just read a bit at a time. Book 3 clocks in at 1,300 pages so it‘s taken me awhile, but I finally got sucked in this week at 60%. Season 3 is actually my favorite in the show so naturally I loved this one. From Boston to Scotland, the open seas, Jamaica and finally Georgia, Voyager is aptly named and full of adventure. Looking forward to starting book 4!
