#BBRC #A2Z #LetterV These have all come from The Great Australian Storybook Collection released by our local paper. A zebra, a moose, a lion & a sheep get caught out in the rain so they find a nice dry cave to play cards in. But there‘s a very cranky bear already there who just wants to sleep. To cheer him up, lion wants to give him a mane, zebra thinks he needs stripes & moose is sure he wants antlers but sheep makes him a pillow from his wool.

Blaire This book is so cute! It was one of the first ones gifted to my son when he is a baby. 1d

Definitely not a favourite from the challenge, but one of the only #picturebooks I could find for #LetterV 😅 #BBRC #A2Z @LibrarianRyan #picturebook

Interesting. Alien virus on a comet comes to Earth billions of years ago, slowly working it's way up the evolutionary chain until it reaches home sapiens, and changes the way we think. Not much character development or plot, more about the biological theories. 3 💥💥💥 out of 5

This was so over the top with calamities and dramatics. Voltaire shines a light on human nature and all its fallacies in this satire. At first it was enjoyable and funny but near the end I grew annoyed.

This series has been handy for #LitsyAtoZ. I liked this one - there were a lot fewer Civil War references. #LetterV

The Vegetarian is a short and bizarre novel that centers around Yeong-hye, a South Korean woman who decides to become a vegetarian after experiencing a cryptic dream. We watch, from the perspective of Yeong-hye‘s husband, her brother-in-law, and her sister, as her decision impacts those around her and as her mental health deteriorates. This book is intense and uncomfortable at times, but it is incredibly powerful. #LitsyAtoZ #LetterV

Okay, so it took me a while to get into this one. It just started slow for me, I wasn‘t interested in any of the characters. About halfway through I really hit my stride. It is beautifully writt n, with wonderful words and storytelling, and for that, and the finale of the book, I give it a pick and 3.5 stars.
Virgil Wander leads a typical bachelor life- owns and runs the local and run down theater, part time work at city hall. 👇🏻👇🏻

Theshadedbuffalo One day, he simply drives off a cliff, with no reason or understanding why. He‘s trying to recover from his horrible head injury when a mysterious man, who makes and flies mysterious and beautiful kites, comes to town asking questions about his long-lost (and presumably dead) son. What happens throughout is a journey for Virgil, the stranger, the locals, and the town itself. @kaye here is my small review. ❤️ 6mo
Theshadedbuffalo Also, this is my #letterv for #litsyatoz 😬😬 6mo
Kaye Thank you Branndy , for the tag. At least now I‘ll know more about the book. Good job on getting your letter V. 👍🏼 6mo

Friends to foes in this contemporary supernatural tale where two guys utilize a Flatliners moment to develop superpowers. One goes mad with power and the other ends up in jail. Ten years later the hunt is on as one vows to bring down the other. Not as enamored of this one as Schwab's other series. Nothing bad, it just seemed somewhat predictable. #LitsyAtoZ #LetterV @BookishMarginalia

This was a cute little ode to books, reading, and bookstores. I enjoyed it, but the ending seemed very rushed and a little odd to me. This was my book in translation for #MMDchallenge and the #LetterV for #LitsyAtoZ (in translation). @BookishMarginalia

Look at these endpapers! Aren‘t they fabulous? It‘s a actual picture of the wreck taken by an ROV coz it‘s too deep to dive. This was a fantastic book, I think because it was made so personal by the survivors accounts the authors either got firsthand by those living & written testimonies by those no longer with us. I love Quints monologue in JAWS about the sinking but the truth is much more complicated. Using as my V book.4.5⭐️ #LitsyAtoZ #LetterV
