An absolutely sweet memoir about the author‘s summer job at Tiffany in New York City. And what a summer it was! 1945… during the last months of World War II. Lots of interesting historical details of daily life are included, as well as some cute stories about working at such a glamorous place. Great fun!

I read this with the #SUNDAYBUDDYREAD group. I was sick and didn‘t participate much but have liked going back and reading the discussion. Again, not a book I would have chosen for myself but I found it to balance fluff & nostalgia pretty well. Overall, a good read for the month.

This just wasn't for me. It's cute but these girls are naive and I don't know why they thought a book needed to happen. The only thing that made this ok imo was all the extra info that went into the group chat. And the cover. 😂

Finished today for #SundayBuddyRead I enjoyed this memoir-set in the summer of 1945 when the author & her best friend spend the summer in NYC. These Iowa University students become the first females to be pages at Tiffany & Co. It‘s a mostly light read about their experiences in the city & it was a good escape. Thanks to @TheBookHippie for the always wonderful hosting, discussions & research done along the way.🩵
