OMG OMG OMG! #droughtlander is finally over! My daughter and I took the day off of #homeschooling to have our own little #readathon to celebrate! First, an early morning trip to the bookstore (she's excited about the recent release of Marissa Meyer's new book "Gilded"), now we get a full day of reading. Yay!! #outlander #raisingreaders

ravenlee One of the best parts of homeschooling is taking days off for really good reasons - like book release day! 3d

This is a graphic novel based on the first few books of the Outlander series. The storyline, although simplified, was true to the novels. I wasn‘t a big fan of the artwork but, that‘s just a matter of personal preference. To each his own.

The quintessential Outlander reference book - Volume 2.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I wanted to finish this before GO TELL THE BEES THAT I AM GONE comes out … since the “droughtlander” was so long I thought it would be a good idea to refresh my memory of the last four books. I‘m really glad I did. Now I‘m all set for the 23rd and totally looking forward to it. 🐝

Hoping to finish my reread of the last Outlander book before the new one comes out on Tuesday! Might be a bit challenging because I‘ve gone into full Christmas decorating mode, but you never know. 🤷🏼‍♀️

BarbaraTheBibliophage I‘ve been trying to do the same! But I‘m only halfway through. Thankfully I have the audio so I can make progress while I do some baking for our Thanksgiving meal on Thursday. 5d
erinreads @BarbaraTheBibliophage One of these days I finally need to just get the audiobooks for the series. I hear Davina Porter‘s narration is fantastic! 5d
BarbaraTheBibliophage @erinreads Oh yes—she is fabulous!! 5d

OUTLANDER catch-up week(s). Two older books from my TBR. Two new books coming out on the 23rd. I‘ve been waiting for GO TELL THE BEES THAT I AM GONE for well over a year. 🐝

Allkat More than a week! The outlander books are so dense and detailed. 🤓 6d
suvata @Allkat I have a lot of time to read since I‘m retired. Whenever possible I have a book in my hand or an audiobook in my ear. 6d

I've been a fan of Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series for many years. I own almost all of the books have read to book 7 so far but these are huge books with LOADS of details so I'm listening to the eAudiobooks. I've posted my reviews of Outlander and Dragonfly in Amber on my blog today.

QOTD: Are you an Outlander fan? TV series or book series? Or both?

sprainedbrain Yes to both! I love the books from way back but think they‘ve done a great job with the show. ❤️ 3w
Nessavamusic I enjoy both! Also a fan of these on Audiobook, the narrator is excellent. 3w

"Outlander" is extremely well written and the author tells her story well. However, there were parts of the story that I felt unneeded and while I understand some of the commentary was to show the times, I felt Gabaldon was toeing a line I did not care for.

This has become the year of the chunksters for me. I‘m starting these two today. They were calling to me. I‘m still working on War and Peace. That one might take another year. lol
