A gripping story about fame, loss, and grief. I learned about the Good Friday earthquake while visiting Anchorage a couple years ago; I was deeply affected then and even more-so now after reading Valerie and Jeremy‘s accounts. JM did a good job giving that tragedy life in this book. Book #57 in 2023

23 #57 This series I have been reading for a long time. This is the most recent installment. And I don‘t think I can read another one. I said that last time but I thought I‘d give it another try. The books aren‘t awful and they are well written. But I can‘t stand any of the characters. None of them are very likable. The protagonist is a whiny, judgmental, snob. And now she has a love interest that is totally cringe. It‘s a no from me, dog.

A decent storyline full of family drama and secrets that jumps back and forth between decades and points of view. This feels more like a story born in the deep south than it does Virginia. The plot twists were obvious and I‘m still grappling with all the family ties and trying not to use the I word… Book #57 in 2022

For some reason, I liked this book in the series more than the others I've read so far. Maybe the series has hit a stride for me finally and I can relate better to the main character. Either way, several more to come with Eddie, the Bookmobile Cat. #57-2022

22 #57 This serious is still pretty good. My mind started to wander a little close to the end. But that could have been more about me than the book.
