Book #57: Out of the four 100 Greatest Books lists, there are only a few books that appear on more than two lists. 1984 is one out of the few on multiple lists and I can understand why. 1984 is a very powerful novel dealing with possible totalitarian future society and how one might survive in such a society. The only problem I really had with this book...

Going on a graphic novel adventure. #57 and knocking out some numbers off my reading challenge 😆 I kinda just want to see how many I can read before the day is over.

Caffeinated_Reader First off my son, 16, can‘t stop laughing because the last few pages I read out loud, sound effects and all, and he was impressed I was reading a comic book. That being said it was awesome. I loved the movie as a kid and will definitely get the other volumes. Part 1 of 6 was awesome 👏 6mo

#57 "Not seeing is believing!"
Sammy is into some pretty weird stuff. He likes sci-fi and everything to do with ghosts. But when he starts finding his room dismantled and other strange things start happening he starts to wonder what is going on. Come to find out, Sammy has a new friend. Only this friend is invisible!

LibrarianRyan Please burn Where the Red Fern grows. Think Old Yeller and you can understand why. 1y
BookwormAHN @LibrarianRyan I agree that book is horrible. 1y
Peddler410 I love Where the Red Fern Grows. It may be sad but that is no reason to burn the book 🙂 1y

2017 #57 fantasy audio so the journey continues and ends with another one beginning. Liked it but the societal commentary was annoying but that might have been the point. +

I just started using overdrive (I'm very late to the game 🙃) through my local library and I'm so excited. 👏🏻 I'm clearly not the only one who asked for this book to be purchased since I'm #57 on 11 copies, but still, this is cool.

AnnieReads Very cool! And shows that your library listens to its patrons. 3y
britt_brooke @AnnieReads Exactly! I didn't know what to expect when I requested they buy this book a couple of days ago. I'm very pleased. 😊 3y
