I. ❤️. This. Book.
Dollar tree finds!
Thank goodness for leap year/day..it really helped me finish my last book of the month. 😂 Looking back, it seems I spent the month reading about war in three different time periods. 🤔 And a handful of spies, too!
It took me a long time to finish listening to this one. I'm excited to start the next because I can finally get ahead of the TV series.
And the last of the year...taking out 2023 with science!
A day in the life of Jamie and Claire...a lot happened, but also not much. I liked it more than the previous book, though.
I wasn't sure what to expect of Samantha Irby, but I loved this. Funny jokes, self-deprecating humor and crazy situations, followed by unexpected tenderness and the relatable pains of being a woman. I did especially laugh out loud about her devil cat!
Another super slow reading month in October, but I have some different kinds of reads lined up for November. Hopefully, I can get through more books than usual.
Actually, super interesting. I'm trying to remember all the details...
"I was perfectly content before I was born, and I think death as the same state."
The one where Claire's personality becomes Jamie. My least favorite, so far, as was this season of the show.
A very slow reading month...hoping to pick it up and finish more in October.
Finally read this one...very good, very sad.
Not the usual genre I pick up, but it was a quick, easy read.
Much more than I expected, in a good way. Delicious descriptions of food combined with the difficulties and loneliness of being an American living in France, gives this memoir depth.
August round-up of completed reads: I inadvertently made it a month of women authors...love that! The tagged book was my personal pick.
Surprisingly relevant to my life right now, I found this very touching and relatable.
Vacation book #4
My favorite so far...This season of the show was also my favorite.
Sunglasses Day...this cover immediately popped into my head!
Flying through this series mostly thanks to the audiobook.
Very interesting travel memoir.
And in honor of Father's Day, Mr. Atticus Finch.
I...liked it, I think. At times, I felt it was boring, mundane, ugh Charlie (W.) Blackwell. But I think I liked it.
Switching between the audio book and the big paperback.
Has this book been turned into a movie yet? How has this book not been turned into a movie?! I couldn't stop reading. It was beautiful and painful.
I finished this book in a day...I can't remember the last time that happened.
I can't find the book we read, but why not celebrate multiple donut books! We read so many children's books in my house that I would never be able to keep up with them on here, but this book is soooo cool and made me sooo hungry for a pink frosted donut with sprinkles.
It's been a while since I picked up and read some short stories but this was a wonderful reintroduction. The title story is heartbreaking.
I did NOT end up agreeing with the review someone left in the title pages (previous post). In fact, I really liked this book and I was a little sad it isn't part of a series.
