Final sandy beach book...not completed on the beach, but this book brought some sand home!
I wanted a little more at the end, but it satisfied my craving for a twisty, creepy mystery.
This book reminded me of this poem (from where I'm assuming it takes its title 😀)
6 years...Wow! I tend to go through periods where I'm very active here and then trail off a little depending on my life, 😆but whenever I pop in here I'm met with, hands down, the best community (not to mention, the best content)!
Tagging the book I'm currently reading since I didn't get around to posting about it yet!
Bedtime book with my daughter. We love this little series
I've never picked up a tennis racket or watched a tennis match, but I picked this one up and boy, oh, boy, it is SO good.
My daughter and I finished this beautiful book tonight. Kate DiCamillo never disappoints me. ❤️
Horror in the snow ❄️ (My reading never lines up with the right time of year 🤣)
Thanks @Ddzmini for tagging me! I don't think there's such a thing as Monday funday, so I'm just going to say I'm late posting this!
1) I really like "micro-nonfiction", an entire book devoted to something that otherwise might be thought of as a small topic.
2) They're generally about subjects I would know absolutely nothing about.
3) I tagged the book I have read and here's one TBR: Salt by Mark Kurlansky
Finished this, and just WOW.
Borrowed this from the library...I'm going to buy it so I can always have it around.
An older Anita Shreve, but the first one for me. Loved her storytelling.
Powerful. And enlightening, especially to this Ohioan.
This took forever to get through but I don't blame it on the book...I blame it on life! I jumped way into this series without reading any of the Rebus books before this, and I liked the world.
In beautiful Miami for our 5th wedding anniversary, and I'm reading about a (fictional!) teenager's tragic death and the grief that ensues for the people that loved her...classic pick, Lauren! 😜
Relevant, funny, and informative...for instance, if you wear makeup and are tired of giving all your money to men, Erin Gibson has done her research in order to completely switch her traditional makeup loot to products made by women-owned, women-run companies.
An expansive history of an incredibly long political career, but the chapter The Living Rose, finally, emotionally speaks to the tragedy, grief, despair, and faith of the Kennedy family that the rest of the book shys away from. This single chapter was the human, the brother, the son, the father, the uncle, speaking, not the politician.
Checked out the large print "doorstop" edition.
Rainy drive reading...this book feels like ancient history even though it wasn't THAT long ago, but if you want change, vote, vote, vote. (So...make sure you vote)

Birthday gift yesterday from my baby sister; she knows me so well.
Funny! Some of the pop culture references were a little old, but who's fault is that, really? I actually enjoyed the stories about Kathy's family more so than the celebrity anecdotes. I remember watching her show, Life on the D-List, back in the day, and her parents were naturally hilarious.
Spent this rainy morning searching and finding the alphabet.
Unexpected shout out to my Alma Mater!
