Bath 🛀 time reading 📖 that cosy relaxing time between Christmas and new year ☺️
Just finished my #doublespin for December. I really enjoyed this book and see that the newest movie adaptation is the most like the book. @TheAromaofBooks Hey Sarah. I need a link to sign up for #bookspinbingo for 2023 please.
#WinterReadathonDailyChallenge #ChristmasDecorations as they‘re described in Little Women always reminded me of holidays growing up Jewish. There are a few minor holidays that included physical decorations (sometimes including Hanukkah) but religious holidays (like Christmas was for far more people in the time of this book) were mostly marked by big feasts and fancy tables. @Andrew65 @DieAReader @GHABI4ROSES

What a beautiful prompt. Very cliched, but I would love to be a part of the end of Little Women, when it ends with Christmas!

1. Nothing in particular! There isn't really a holiday beverage as such in India
2.I love the Carol of the bells, Jingle Bell Rock, Fairytale of New York,Slade's It's Christmas!!

This book was published in 1868, and is considered one of the first books for children. This book follows four sisters; Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy in their journey of growing up. This is a great book, and I would definitely recommend it, however I am not sure if I would use it in my classroom, because it is very long and a bit difficult to understand in today's world.
The memes of Florence Pugh in Venice are all top-tier, but this one takes the cake, no doubt. 😭 #JusticeForAmyMarch
I hope it is fav book of many of you🥰💐
My next choice is Little fires everywhere. #alphabetgame #LetterL
A personal takeaway from this book was how interesting it was how the author was able to take all of the different girls and make them all very different from each other but also show how important they were for each other and how all of the different characters types complemented each other. I think that the way that this author wrote the book in a way that is very similar to how it would happen in real life is interesting.
I just discovered this adorable Little Women fabric last night and I think I have to make a quilt now.
This book has been on my TBR for ages, and I‘m glad that I had the chance to read this book! This was an outstanding book about the story of some sisters which has amazed me! I have to say, it took me longer than expected to finish this book, but I thank you @Reyzl for inviting me on this journey!
I never wanted to go away, and the hard part is leaving you all. I'm not afraid, but it seems as if I should be homesick for you even in heaven.
I am not afraid of storms, for I am learning how to sail my ship.
Watch and pray, dear, never get tired of trying, and never think it is impossible to conquer your fault.
My next read is an amazing book, gifted from my wonderful and extremely kindhearted teacher, @Reyzl . All I have to say is, you are an amazing person, and I thank you immensely for inviting us to this journey! 😊
Really lovely book, the March sister's bond was so great to see, it was so heartwarming that it felt like you belonged to that family too.
They were so nice to everyone around them and it was so cute to see them treat Laurie like family after finding out he felt lonely because his only company was his “uptight” grandpa.
The sister's character development was great but I‘m very biased towards Amy because she had the best one and she is a cutie.
"She feels it in the air - love, I mean - and she's going
very fast. She's got most of the symptoms - is twittery
and cross, doesn't eat, lies awake, and mopes in corners.
I caught her singing that song he gave her.”
My woman's day.
I love you my baby boy! 🥰

A sometimes touching, sometimes infuriating book. I should have read it when i was younger. The moralizing was pretty blatant.
The first #chunksterchallenge of the year, thanks to everyone who showed me these challenges!
I‘m excited and nostalgic to read this, as the last time I cracked it open was elementary school. It‘s not the biggest book I own, but it‘s step one of the year as I get back into disciplined reading
The Orchard House in Concord, MA where Louisa grew up. Because her mug started all this, my first stop in my #selftour #womeninarts #womeninhistory will be here. 💕📚🏚

Harriet Beecher Stowe, Hartford, Ct
Florence Griswold Museum, Old Lyme, Ct
Bellemy-Ferriday House, Bethlehem, Ct
The first two I have visited but would love to return.
Watched the movie recently and kind of can't get Beth out of my mind. She'll probably be the reason I'll read the book soon.
“I want my daughters to be beautiful, accomplished, and good to be admired, loved, and respected, to have a happy youth to be well and wisely married, and to lead useful pleasant lives with as little care and sorrow to try them as God sees fit to send. To be loved and chosen by a good man is the best and sweetest thing which can happen to a woman and I sincerely hope my girls may know this beautiful experience..” My favorite quote!
Y‘all I‘m really loving Little Women! It‘s so amazing so far! My favorite character at the moment is John Brooke he‘s just so amazing and I love his connection with Meg!! Also Mrs.March is such a phenomenal mother character in all of literature!
well it certainly is a product of its time which can make it hard to read at times, but overall a charming book
“wouldn‘t it be fun if all the castles in the air which we make could come true and we could live in them?”- pg 171-172
Deb this is a gorgeous piece of art pretending to be a Christmas Card 😍😘❄️❤️I love it so much!
I‘m currently reading Little Women by Louisa May Alcott! I‘m absolutely loving it y‘all! I‘m almost to the 100 page mark!! 📚📚 #classics #littlewomen #louisamayalcott #currentlyreading

Major score from the Little Free Library near home. I‘ve formed a habit of checking it every day on my way home from work. Most of the time I‘m able to walk away empty handed. This needed to come home with me. I haven‘t spotted a copyright date on it, but it‘s definitely old and well-loved. 👯♀️😍
"I am not afraid of storms, for I am learning how to sail my ship."
Well I FINALLY finished! I started reading this in January of 2020 after utterly falling in love with the movie. It‘s been a weird read. The book was a lot longer than i thought. I also found it both boring and not boring enough, which was annoying. I read it on kindle, it wasn‘t dull enough to get me to sleep, but it certainly wasn‘t one I got a great deal of enjoyment reading either. I am forever and always a fan of the movie, however! ⭐️⭐️⭐️💫
Visited a sunflower farm today! So beautiful!!🌻😄📖📚
