My morning reading buddy 🐶❤️
My morning reading buddy 🐶❤️
Reading this book for work‘s book club. Laying with my husband and puppy dog. My husband was kind enough to listen to a show with headphones so we can sit together as a family while we each did what we love to do.
This is my first Adriana Trigiani. Reading this with a friend for a friendly book club. I met Ms. Trigiani in October 2023 and she is an amazing human being!
Already watched the television series, but enjoying this title while walking on the treadmill.
Reading this for college student book club! Learning a lot thus far!
Listening to his self-narrative memoir. Enjoying it so far!
Study Buddy!
Sitting in store parking lot, studying, while my husband looks for some Labor Day sales.
This is one of my most favorite series. I had no idea there was a fifth installment, so I am excited to start it this weekend!
I enjoyed the audio more so than the print. Such a cute story! Light and fun! But real.
I think this is quite fitting. “Which wolf will win?” “The one you feed.” Now, that can apply to any situation, whether it is about society, race, or even depression.
Probably the BEST book-to-movie adaptation I have seen in a long while. Highly recommend both book and movie.
Started this audiobook yesterday. I‘ve been trying to read it on the kindle, but I couldn‘t get into it. The audio seems better so far.
I always wanted to read this book, and I got to do so for my work book club. It is a pick for me, but I was slightly disappointed in the ending. I thought it was too predictable. But it offered good lessons for everyone to live by.
I thought this book portrayed mother-daughter relationships very well. It‘s rare that I read books of that family dynamic, but it was a beautiful change of pace.
“Because happiness comes from within. It‘s a lesson we all must learn in our own time.”
New month. New morning inspirational read.
Enjoying this one with my fluffy puppy while my husband and our friends are listening to smooth jazz in the background.
I share the same sentiment!
Enjoying some classic reading while relaxing at the pool in Phoenix, Arizona!
Enjoying the long weekend on a boat, with a book and my puppy ❤️🐶
My husband had to leave for a business trip this morning, so Sawyer and I are enjoying the fresh air, while we can (until it storms again). I‘m starting this book so I can watch the movie on Netflix, while Sawyer starts a new bone to chew on.
It‘s “Austen in August” so I am starting with Pride and Prejudice! I also began running with my puppy on his running harness this morning, too. He did so well!! Now we are both relaxing before dinner.
My husband and I adopted a Mini Labradoodle puppy. He‘s so sweet when he sleeps. He is my new reading (and hopefully in the future) running buddy.
Enjoying the audio very much. Only 4 hours in, and many to go, but it is well written and it is a good story.
Although a lot of people didn‘t like it and thought it was predictable and smut chiclit, I enjoyed the romance story. Yes, it was predictable, but I thought the plot line was cute. I wish I would have waited until December to read it though, lol
This is the kind of book that women should be reading, especially those who wish to become mothers, or who are already mothers, and who also want to be career women. This is only in the intro, but I am excited to see where this book takes me!
After falling in love with the television series, I am finally going to begin the book series. I have almost all of the novels in the series. A friend of my mother‘s gave them to me because she knew I loved the show.
Just not for me. I thought I would give it a shot. I was told that it was slower than the following books written by Louise Penny. I finished it, but I‘m not sure if I‘ll read other titles by her.
You know it‘s a good story when you completely forget about the dishes soaking in the sink and how tired you really are after a long week of working. I came home last night, sat on the couch, and didn‘t get up until I finished this romance.
So I finally finished the series. (I still have to read Before, but I read the After series after many months of frustration and emotional turmoil I got from this series. Someone said that it felt like a train wreck: you wanted to look away, but you couldn‘t. That‘s how I felt about this series. The characters frustrated me, but I had to see where the plot went. I‘m glad I finished it and I‘m curious to read Before.
Although I am still working through several titles, I have decided that I need a designated bedtime read, which needs to be one of my personal books, just in case I must return the library borrows before it‘s finished. I have owned this book for quite some time, and I thought now would be a good time to read it. Also, it is something jolly to read before bed.
I don‘t want to say too much because I will ruin the story. But all I have to say is WOW. I‘m so glad I read this book. It pulled me into a wonderful world and I‘m sad to leave it.
Let‘s get lost in a world made of books, coffee, and rainy days...
The only reason I am continuing to read this series is because I want and need to see how it ends. It‘s obviously fan fiction and the writing isn‘t great, but I am attached to the story. It has taken me awhile to get through it because the characters are melodramatic and annoying at times, so I put the book down. I will finish the series once I receive the library ebook.
Starting this gem, finally, while enjoying the sunshine and warmth! Getting some Vitamin D before the rain comes (again). This was recommended by Modern Mrs. Darcy‘s Book Club Read.
I thought this book was clever, a quick-read, and laugh out loud funny. Chelsea has become a workaholic and needs to find her laughter and love again so she retraces her steps of her gap year abroad to look up her past loves in three lovely countries: Ireland, Italy, and Paris. This trip will teach Chelsea that to find happiness is to find it within herself. Great travel novel!!
I have decided to begin reading from PBS‘s America‘s 100 Most Beloved Books and I am starting with The Picture of Dorian Gray. It is a short read that I hope I can fly through to get out of my reading funk.
I began reading this classic pre-quarantine but hadn‘t gotten very far. I have decided to listen to the Libby audio while reading my personal copy. It may take awhile to get through but I am enjoying it thus far.
In Florida for the weekend. It‘s a bit windy and chilly today but reading while seeing this view is enough for me. Starting this title today so I can see the movie.
It was such an interesting coming of age story. The audio being read by Tom Hanks made it even better!!
I absolutely love this quote, and this book.
Unlike anything I have ever read. Raw and insightful. Quick easy read. Couldn‘t put it down
Now that the wedding is over and I don‘t have any time restraints on further projects, I thought I would try to tackle a difficult classic. I‘m listening while reading along and that does make it easier.
Starting this book on my honeymoon while my husband takes a nap❤️ We have visited many Frank Lloyd Wright houses this week and I finally picked this one up.
