I love my Apple products. And, between covering the innovation, materials, scalability, Chinese factories, US-China politics, high skilled workers, economic and political strategy, and Apple policies, McGee has written a compelling, terrifying, engaging, and interesting book. I loved it.

iPad: The Missing Manual | J.D. Biersdorfer

I just upgraded my IPad to iOS 18.4.1, and now Litsy isn‘t working right. I can‘t like posts, and it won‘t let me add an image to this post. Anyone else having similar problems?

LeahBergen Eek! I haven‘t upgraded to that one yet. 8mo
TheBookHippie Ack. I didn‘t update yet. It is my fear as Litsy just gets managed not updated. 8mo
rubyslippersreads @LeahBergen @TheBookHippie Strangely enough, I updated my iPhone to the same iOS with no problems. 🤷🏼‍♀️ 8mo

dabbe Probably a dumb question on my part, but did you delete the Litsy app, then put it back on there, and then restart your iPad? That might help. I'm scared to offer advice, though, because Litsy is such a dinosaur app. C'mon, Tim @ LibraryThing; update this app! 8mo
rubyslippersreads @dabbe Not yet. I‘ll try that next. 8mo

rubyslippersreads Thanks, everyone. Uninstalling/reinstalling seems to have fixed it. I was going through Litsy withdrawal. 🙀 8mo
rubyslippersreads @tpixie Thanks. I wasn‘t sure who to tag. 8mo
rubyslippersreads @dabbe That worked. 😸 8mo
tpixie @rubyslippersreads glad it worked! 😅 I don‘t know if any #Librarything workers are on Litsy anymore - these seemed to be different profiles than their originals Great advice @dabbe 🏆 8mo

I love that Toronto Public Library created a reading list to celebrate Taylor's Swift week in Toronto!

kwmg40 My husband is going to Toronto tonight for a concert. He's not seeing Taylor Swift but he's worried he won't get to the concert in time because of the traffic the TS concert will be generating. 13mo

Mine! | Candace Fleming
Pickpick

4 ⭐This book is adorable and would be great fun as a read aloud. An apple is about to fall from a tree and each animal takes a moment to think that is going to be mine. The way the author rhymes the story when she needs to and uses sound words like plop, fizz, etc. in other parts of the story makes this such a fun read. It a great ending. Also have to give it up to Eric Rothman, who did all the fantastic illustrations.

Teachers could use a story to tell the story of Johnny Appleseed and a fiction setting. They then can study the actual man, Johnny Appleseed is based off of and compare and contrast.
