I need some help from my fellow littens. There was book I read about a woman who lost her voice after an airplane accident, she then married this rich older man, and after his death she fleas to her home town but there is a killer on the loose. The killer is a female who cuts people's faces off after they are murdered. I CANT NOT FOR THE LIFE OF ME REMEMBER THE AUTHOR OR THE TITLE.. Anyone read a book like this? I need some help!

Reggie Sorry, no, but sounds intriguing. 9mo
Book_Lover95 It was sooo good! But I can't remember the name of it and it's about to drive me insane 9mo

WOW! I honestly expected this book to end in a tragedy. It was such a good read from page 1 all the way to page 305. I think I may have discovered the next aurthor for me.

I just learned there were hookers and prostitutes in 1859.. Who knew🤷🤔

TrishB They say it‘s the oldest profession. 9mo
Book_Lover95 That is exactly what my boyfriend said when I told him 9mo
StillLookingForCarmenSanDiego I visited the site of a brothel at an ancient Roman ruin in Morroco, dating back to the 3rd century BC (or something like that). Prostitution has been around since the beginning of mankind basically. 9mo

Book_Lover95 SERIOUSLY?! I'd never thought it would have even been a thing, especially back then 9mo
StillLookingForCarmenSanDiego Yup! A quick read on the history of prostitution, if you're interested. https://www.thoughtco.com/history-of-prostitution-721311 9mo

Just started this book about ah hour and a half ago and I'm already hooked! I already feel myself getting all emotional over 2 characters 🤦😭. I honestly did not expect to like this book, much less this EARLY on in the read. P.S. yes I'm eating Chef Boyardee Beefaroni with cheese (I'm a weird eater)

I'm definitely not saying that I understand life and everything in a wonderful ray of sunshine and rainbows now. I will however say that I was definitely struggling with the death of someone very close to me as well. And just like Kate, I also blamed myself. I definitely feel that the reading of this book was in perfect timing to my healing and grief process... "God's timing is perfect"

I'm going to be honest, I didn't finish the book. It did not hold my interest in the slightest. I actually read a chapter 3 times and still have no idea what was going on.

JacqMac I didn‘t like this one very much either. It was so predictable. I kept waiting for it to get better, but it never did. 10mo
Book_Lover95 I wanted to like it. But this is the first time I've said this.. but the movie is actually better than the book 10mo
