And for a change of scenery from my all adult non fiction on my work desk all of the time... today I was blessed with a little junior fiction! FOR NARNIAAAAAAA!

I've noticed a lot of #JRRTolkien fans, but are there any #CSSLewis fans out there? 🤔
This two were besties, and they influeced each other, as they influeced and were influeced by other members of the #Inklings.
I think Litsy is kind of a massive 21st century literary circle🤗 📘 📙
Just finished PaulieAnn‘s 1st chapter book It puts her to sleep every time I crack it open! Not sure if that means she likes it or not, but I found it very charming! I‘m looking forward to reading the series! It was such a pleasant surprise when the hospital librarian brought us some books to choose from and I happened to pick a book which had a main character that shared a name with my sweet girl! Spelled differently but still very cool! 💘✨
Started reading this to my newborn daughter while she was in the hospital having heart surgery.. she‘s home now and we have a few more pages left until we finish it! I love reading to my babies! ❤️

I've had this copy of The Chronicles of Narnia for 17 years, so it looks, and is, well loved. Travelling back to one of my favorite worlds!
A beautiful and true piece of art from chalk fest last night!!! 🤓
I got brought this set of books by my father when i was about 7/8 years old, and i only completed reading the collection this year at the age of 21!
I enjoyed the stories for the most part, I did find 'The horse and his boy' quite a drag to get through out of all of them, and i think the one i enjoyed the most was 'The silver chair.'
I didn't expect the books to end how they did, though it should have been expected due to the religious aspects.
“‘Quick!‘ said Peter. ‘There‘s nowhere else,‘ and flung open the wardrobe. All four of them bundled inside it and sat there, panting, in the dark.
‘O-o-oh!‘ said Susan suddenly. And everyone asked her what was the matter.
“I‘m sitting against a tree,‘ said Susan, ‘and look! It‘s getting lighter - over there.‘”

Beautiful, classic, old school Narnia before the advent of the move tie-in book cover hype. These are the covers I grew up with.

Loved these! I‘ve been wanting to read these for years and now I read all of the books (7 of them) in just two weeks. They are clearly written for children, meaning the writing is simple but just as enjoyable as any other books.
I wanted to post this about Owlcrate‘s June box, the entire theme is Fictional Libraries and I am super excited that we are getting bookends! This may be the month for some of you to try! And then you can easily cancel if it is still not for you, but definitely try this one ❤️ https://www.owlcrate.com/refer/Caled-EEZCUOMD
In my local charity shop today ?? I‘m not sure who pops into Oxfam to spend 640 on books, lovely though they are.
It‘s not *quite* warm enough to be outside in the hammock but I‘m trying - blankets help!! (There‘s a fire inside if I can‘t tough it out and need to warm myself too.). Really loving re-reading this brick of all 7 books this spring break. ❤️
The chronicles of Narnia by C. S. Lewis is a modern fantasy book that was published in 1950. This book is about a fictional realm called Narnia. There are talking animals, mythical beasts, and fantasy world of magic. The main characters are four children that come from the real world and are transported into Narnia. They are called upon to save Narnia from evil.
This was fun! I apologize for being flippant with the pizza but I'm hungry!! Thanks @Clwojick 😉 #BookishPinterest
Part 5//10 of today‘s home-library tour! ☺️
Do you own, or have you read, any of these?

Great fantasy read about a family of siblings during a war. They find another magical world where they have countless adventures. Would use as a Read aloud or LC. My 3rd grade teacher read this to us after lunch everyday! We loved it.UDL Clarify vocab & symbols. ELL provide translation app or bilingual dictionary. Also a major motion picture. How is it that when hundreds of thousand of people (mostly women, mostly queer) do it for dozens of years, yet it never gets recognized as actual writing but when A MAN does it, it‘s newsworthy?
Just call it Fanfiction like the rest of us, random dude.

I‘m getting ready to re-read (listen) to Chronicles. What is your preferred reading order? Publication order, or chronological (story) order. And why?
Starting this series with my boys! I hope they love it like I did as a kid. 🦁🧙♀️🚪 this book has doors in the center that open and show a timeline of Narnia.
I think I first read this series when I was about 7. I go back and reread it about every 5 years. There is no other set of books that I can say that about.
This was a tough call, there are so many imagined worlds that I would love to go to if it were ever possible. But I think I will choose the one I first fell in love with, Narnia, which ignited my love of books and fantasy. @GondorGirl , thanks for this super amazing giveaway! #gigibookbox

You find yourself in front of seven identical doors. A voice from above tells you: “The seven doors lead to seven places:
Narnia, Neverland, Wonderland, Hogwarts, Camelot, Middle Earth, and Westeros.” Which door do you go through?
First, I‘d wonder why I was hearing voices, then I‘d pick Narnia!
What would be your choice?

The awesome things we buy back at the bookstore. 1970 set in excellent condition for being almost 50 years old. I couldn‘t resist!!
Current read aloud with my children. Even though CS Lewis said it is not Christian allegory...I‘m digging the allegory. 😉
The view outside my office. Looks like Narnia.
Because it makes me feel cozy on a cold day. Even if it's just a few random chapters...
Narnia will always be something special for me. ♥️
This is the first time I've read The Magician's Nephew all the way through and honestly I'm crushed that I didn't discover the magic of Narnia before! I devoured every page. I could picture all the scenes. Everything was so well written. So simple yet so deep. I just want to go back to page one and experience it all over again!
Where to go next?
How frickin' gorgeous is this set?!?!?!?! I can't even.
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍

Inspired by Becoming Mrs. Lewis and also by a little bit of guilt, I bought this and have started with The Magician‘s Nephew. I‘d only ever read The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, and I only ever got around to that a year or so ago.
Well I‘ve finally read through them all! My faves are still holding that position. Can‘t say that I truly enjoyed The Last Battle except for Patrick Stewart reading it 😍. The ending was very sudden and almost too much. From a religious perspective, I get the lesson. From a story-telling point? It was kind of out of nowhere. Overall, I enjoyed the series. It will remain an integral part of my childhood.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Off the top of my head -
📚 The Bible
📚 The Chronicles of Narnia by C. S. Lewis (some of the first books I can remember that made me fall in love with reading)
📚 Hiding Place by Corrie Ten-Boom
📚 Night by Elie Wiesel (These two books depict a portion of history and two different stories. Both of which I pray never happens again)
📚 The Fault in Our Stars by John Green (Too many reasons to list 😂)
Thanks @sebrittain for the #sundayfunday
