I... think I might like romance? This book certainly challenged my ideas about myself as a reader - I really enjoyed this slow-burn one, and was actually CRYING towards the end! The only reason it isn't 5 is because of the explicit details of the sex scenes.

This was a reread of the book that started my romance reading journey back in spring 2020, & now on my third time reading it, I still love it just as much.
Hibbert is hilarious & cutting & spicy & heartwarming - sometimes all on the same page.
I grabbed this as a vacation read & wasn‘t thinking I‘d read the others in the series - but now I‘m just ready to pick up book 2 🤗
Once upon a time, Chloe Brown died.

Pretty cute! I love finding romance books with diverse characters. Great #Disabilities rep in this one. Otherwise, it's nothing special but if you enjoy romance books you should give it a read. One thing that could have been better was that in the beginning, Chloe seems like she's written as autistic, but then all the things that bother her or that she does in particular ways just kind of stop, like the author forgot about them or got bored.
I was looking for a cute and funny rom-com to listen on a road trip with hubby. The library hold came in too late, but I listened on my own. It was considerably more steamy than I had bargained for, but by the time the characters got there, I was wholly invested in the plot. It was a good story about what love looks like in action, an examination of how we treat the people we love the most. Chloe and Red were extremely likable characters.
Once upon a time, Chloe Brown died. #firstlinefriday
The two protagonists have the hots for each other. I can‘t work out if they‘re just horny or in love. I suspect the first since they‘re still in the non-communication stage.
I‘ve seen this book around the LT threads so I picked it up. I hadn‘t realised it‘s set in Nottinghamshire; I had assumed it was set in the States, so that was a pleasant surprise. I like the lightheartedness and the appearance of the main character‘s sisters (who, I think, get their own books in the series). I really appreciate the dual viewpoints and seeing the two main characters from each other‘s perspectives which gives the story more depth.
As a person who tends to read 'just about everything except for romance' I would recommend this to others looking to keep an open mind and give the genre a try. Sure, some of the romance tropes were present but despite some cliches I found this overall very entertaining! Good representation, character development, steamy scenes, as well as scenes that made me laugh and some I even found surprisingly relatable. Looking forward to the next 2! 🤗
Right @PuddleJumper I'm not allowed to edit 2023's #roll100 list any further! Hoping by posting this I can fully commit to this list 😂 I reckon I've edited it about 10 times lol!
Chloe Brown has a “Get a Life” list that she thinks her landlord Redford “Red” Morgan can help her with. The more time they spend together, the more their feelings for each other continue to grow. Will Chloe take a chance on Red?
This book was so cute. The characters were well-written and so was the plot. It was also humorous. I would definitely recommend this book.
Thought I‘d try something new for Friday. It‘s #FridayImInLove! This week, name a romance novel with a cat! Featuring my girls, Boots (left) and Lorelei. Feel free to join in, romance readers and cat lovers! #romantsy #catsoflitsy
A delightful story of discovery of self and the romantic other. Chloe and Red are two very different and emotional bag handlers who are both sweet and innocent at the same time. The insight into self reflection is tasteful and on point while revealing their honest vulnerabilities which keeps the reader cheering on this unlikely pair as they navigate self image, family issues, and personal failures. Lovely read.
Finally have gotten around to Get A Life, Chloe Brown. I am really enjoying the audiobook so far.

Missed yesterday‘s #bookmoods challenge so here it is! This is on my night stand. I heard it‘s funny, but idk I haven‘t read it yet!
I loved that the main character has fibromyalgia. I have fibro myself and it was a realistic look at the illness. (Though it can present differently for everyone.) This was sweet. I loved the characters journey in self awareness. It was definitely more spicy than I expected given the cover, but it didn't overwhelm the story for me. I loved this and will read more by the author.
I didn‘t find myself engrossed with this story. It was cute but something about it didn‘t keep me that interested. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
I liked how main characters had troublesome pasts and one of them was living in pain. There were also interesting secondary characters - several scenes with them would have kept things more hilarious.
I really enjoyed the beginning of the book but the story started to loose it's magic at some point - drama at the end felt unnecessary.
This was overall cute & entertaining story.

Will & Valentine Murder in progress.
#UnpopularOpinion I wasn‘t a fan of this rom-com romance. First it wasn‘t really funny, second it didn‘t feel like a romance. It was definitely STEAMY but not in a sweet romantic way. Chloe suffers from chronic pain ( and I appreciated the author highlighting the mental & physical limitations this causes the person) & in a way to take ownership of her life she creates a bucketlist of sorts. Enter Red, her hunky building maintenance man 👇🏼
So many fabulous reviews for this one but it‘s still in the #MoreMehThanYeah category for me 🤷🏼♀️I do LOVE the audio reader, she‘s GREAT 😊 #pop22 #BoardGameInTitle #Hoopla #BookSpin @TheAromaofBooks
Just finished Get A Life, Chloe Brown. Now on to the next one since it was so good!!!!

Making Valentine's Day gift bags for my 4 yr old's class while listening to the tagged book.
Also I think this book could go for this month's #BookedByHoliday. It's not Valentine's, but it is love.

Started this yesterday. I am really enjoying it. Didn't realize that it was adultish! haha
4.5⭐ This was the first novel I finished this year and it was really good! I liked it a lot even though it didn't quite reach 5 stars for me.
My first reads of 2022! I read my first #NewYearWhoDis book and the first two books of the Brown sisters series. I'll try to have reviews up today!
My last #bookhaul of 2021 📚 #HappyNewYear everyone! 🎉🎉❤️❤️

I didn‘t read this series in the correct order. This was the first and my last. There are only 3 Brown sisters so the series is done. I really love them and their love matches. They have real life problems, living their lives and finding love. It‘s delightful, incredibly steamy at times but you‘re just so happy for the characters. I really enjoyed this series and am a little sad there isn‘t another book to read. So glad I stumble upon this series.
I‘ll admit the tagged book was not my jam. Not romancy enough, though it may just not have been the right time to read it.
@cwarnier @Bookwormjillk your #lmpbc are going in the mail today! Thanks for a lovely round!!
3⭐️ Cute story but not anything great. Listened to the audiobook and wasn‘t feeling the narrator‘s voice so had a hard time staying focused. Thought the fibromyalgia storyline was handled well.

I‘d heard so much about this series but was slightly disappointed. Chloe is chronically ill but makes a list of things to do to help her ‘Get a life‘. Introducing Red-the opposite of Chloe who becomes the man to help her tick off her list.
A cute, sweet story which was interesting to see how Red was attentive/tender to Chloe‘s condition. A predictable ending but an enjoyable journey along the way.

1. Tagged. About half way through.
2. My mum always does a Halloween party for the grandchildren
3. Having 3 days off now to enjoy half term with my girls💕
Oh my god, this book is so good! The perfect amount of steamy, emotional, brokenness, hopefulness, sarcasm, loveliness! Chloe and Red are beautifully imperfect and simultaneously perfect together. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Once upon a time Chloe Brown died. Nearly.
A great first line 😯
Enjoyed this book so much. Started reading second book and getting ready to move on to the third. Perfect mix of romance, humor, sex.
#lmpbc @Annie1215 it came! In other news munchkin was exposed to covid at daycare and now has to quarantine. Freaking covid.
Finished my #lmpbc book for the month. I had tried to start this once a while ago and didn‘t get in to it.
I‘m glad I gave it another chance. The chemistry between the characters absolutely makes this one.
Sending it on its way in the next few days!

I read this book over the summer and it was so cute! I am now into the third book of the series, and I love it just as much as #GetALifeChloeBrown. #Books #Romance
This was very cute and heartwarming. I loved the way chronic illness is honestly depicted, as well as the trauma from previous abusive relationships. The story felt very real and yet the characters were so loving. They made mistakes but figured out how to work through it. I am definitely looking forward to reading the rest of the Brown sisters' stories.
"Too high on each other to care that they were being obnoxious."
Oh, I miss my friends ?
I am doing a reread via audiobook and Chloe and Red are SO CUTE I WILL DIE
The print book killed me, the audio has also killed me
So happy these beauties are here! 💖
#illumicrate
I just received these from Illumicrate and they are beautiful. Also amazing little notes from the author in each book. Love these books, love to have this special edition. FYI I think they are still available for fellow Brown sisters fans!
