Apparently, I need all the cozy fantasy books right now, because I will drop everything else to read them. This sweet story is full of diverse representation, with cute pint-size dragons that grow tea on their head. Need I say more? Classified as middle-grade but definitely for all ages.

Note: originally published under a different first name, the author changed their name to Kay about a year ago, but early editions will have their other name.

Laughterhp I just realized you were using for the board game title and not BIPOC romance! So the one I suggested wouldn‘t work for your current prompt. 2y

RaeLovesToRead I'm such a board game geek that I feel I should be using something weird and wonderful for this prompt! Like a book with Viticulture, Caylus, Azul or Catan in the title 🤣🤣 2y

TheAromaofBooks I went through a kick a couple of years ago where I backed way too many games on Kickstarter. It was SO fun and I still have a few that I back every time they come out with a new one. Board games are my other addiction after books, and there are piles of them around. Some lesser-known ones that are just really pretty and fun to play that your son might like - Parks (Keymaster Games), Calico (Flatout Games) & Mantis Falls (Distant Rabbit Games) 2y

TheAromaofBooks Mantis Falls is especially unique - it's a cooperative game, except each person gets a (secret) card at the beginning telling their roles, and it's possible - but not guaranteed - that one person playing is actually an assassin. It's a really fun way to play, trying to figure out if someone is trying to kill everyone else 😂 2y
