Inspired by @wanderinglynn I created a new bingo card for the 2026 #OffMyShelf reading challenge. Since I'm primarily a mood reader, I used my bookshelves to create this 2026 card. The main goal being to help motivate me to read what I already own. *fingers crossed*

That cozy cover but it didn‘t work for me. I found this story so boring🤷🏽♀️Romances are not my favorite genre but I can enjoy them, like if they are part of a good story or when they happen in other genres. I‘m seeing lately that those supposedly “spicy” novels don‘t work well for me. Novel has more pages describing this forced, bad constructed” scenes that I just get bored in the middle⬇️

Beautiful Autumn cover with sprayed edges…but so boring 🥱 It is a YA story too cheesy, the plot was didn‘t go any where. I don‘t know if this will be my first time, I think, where I unhaul a gorgeous book 🤷🏽♀️2⭐️
My last #OffMyShelf book “unusual form” and my last book of 2025/first book of 2026.
I‘ve owned this for 12 years and finally picked it up. It‘s an experience more than it‘s a novel-a puzzle The text is last novel of the reclusive (possibly non existent) author VM Straka and in the margin notes and ephemera, an adventure and a love story (two really). From the creative minds of Doug Dorst and JJ Abrams. Style over substance but entertaining.

The new cover can get the attention for a read who likes to read summer topics, mine is an old copy. This novel…😳was so bad for me😐it didn‘t work for me at all🤦🏽♀️If this is the author writing style and common topics, I‘m not interested then to read anything else. Sorry for the fans out there. 1⭐️

Beautiful cover but this novel didn‘t work for me. I found it so boring. Even with a good premise and interesting character, well at the beginning I struggled to finish it. I have found that when you have more than one author in a novel there is a disconnection if that is the correct word. I didn‘t see like an integration in the story. It was like reading chunks of different stories. It didn‘t feel like the same tone⬇️

I wanted to read this one because of that cover. It was inspired by a true photo taken during the Great Depression. Here the story fictionalize of what happened to that family after photo was published. The reported in the novel altered the information. Then he was assigned to follow up this story and he investigates what really happened to that family after he lied, the truth behind the photo taken. ⬇️

This one is going #offmyshelf @wanderglynn It didn‘t work for me. I found it so exaggerated and even histrionic in the way situations were managed or explained. What about menstruation it was like the topic is something out of this world🙄I still don‘t know why this book was in so many awards lists. I know mine is an unpopular opinion🤷🏽♀️2⭐️Almost bailed it.

This novel is from the point of view of Lavinia, the wife of Aeneas in Virgil‘s “Aeniad”, who apparently played a very small role in that epic compared to, for example, Dido of Carthage. Le Guin‘s background and interest in archaeology is apparent in the details of this novel.
“But you can‘t have two love stories in an epic. Where would the battles fit? in any case, how could one possibly end a story with a marriage?”
