A superb book and still kept me guessing even at the end
Only on the second page and I AM HOOKED!! This is gonna be a good one 💜💜💜
Bk22 of my #Scarathlon #TeamSlaughter reading list is done. I enjoyed this thriller about a movie star accused of murdering his new wife & his head of security after finding them in bed together. No one believes he‘s innocent, except his lawyer & a member of the jury who happens to be the serial killer responsible for the deaths. Great premise & well written. 11points #PointsTotal-1,572
Settling in for a few hours of reading with a chamomile tea & the rest of this thriller. It‘s still confusing as hell, but it‘s fascinating. Starting to get an inkling of what‘s going on but have no idea why. And I‘ve discovered it‘s the 4th book in a series so I‘ve tracked down the first 3 from my local library. Has anyone else read the first books? Are they worth it? #Scarathlon #TeamSlaughter 1point #PointsTotal-1,561
Bk21 for #TeamSlaughter in the #Scarathlon is a thriller by an author I haven‘t read before. My youngest may have interrupted my readathon last night, but at least she gave me two books to make up for it😋This is one of them and it sounds great, plus it‘s on theme. The murder trial of the century with a ruthless prosecutor & a brilliant defense attorney. Except the killer isn‘t the defendant, he‘s on the jury. 1point #PointsTotal-1,544
This was a very clever, well-written legal thriller. If you don‘t want to commit to reading the books that come before it in the series (or just want to jump straight to this one because of the hype), it works well as a stand-alone!
This also helps me out for the #scarathlon #scaryscavengerhunt - number in the title and part of a series

A fast paced and unique legal thriller. While I wasn‘t able to predict the final twist, there wasn‘t enough lead up for me to believe the twist when it happened (it‘s hard to explain without spoilers!). Read it for the premise of a serial killer on the jury. Do with the twist what you will. Enjoy the ride. #netgalley Book 1/6 for #bfcr4
Taking a break from a rather creepy read to do some cleaning I‘ve been neglecting while listening to my Halloween music playlist 👻 Sweeping may or may not have devolved to me dancing around with my broom 🤷🏼♀️ you know, as one does. I also picked up some new spooky/thriller-esque reads from the library. Like I need any more to read 🙈 Excited to read the tagged book. #teamslaughter #scarathlon @Clwojick
I didn‘t know it‘s the 4th book in the Eddie Flynn series but it can be read as a standalone. Fast-paced, and well written, it‘s a very plot-driven legal thriller with a sympathetic protagonist who is likeable enough to root for. I was surprised with the twists and final reveal. Thought a couple of parts are a bit over-the-top, still it kept me on the edges. Clever and gripping overall.
Thanks for sending me this @Cathythoughts
When I started Steve Cavanagh's Thirteen, I *really* wasn't sure I was in the mood for a thriller, and I was fully prepared to give it 50 pages or so and then return it to the library, unfinished. And then, it hooked me in a major way. (The fact that this is several books into a series somehow also wasn't a deterrent--Cavanagh includes enough background to make up for the lack of context, though I'm sure there were subtleties I missed.) ⬇️

The plot of 𝐓𝐡𝟏𝐫𝐭𝟑𝐞𝐧 is uniquely clever & brilliantly executed. Author 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐯𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐡 is an attorney so most of the investigative, police procedure, & courtroom details are accurate. It's suspenseful. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

This was SO good that I‘m actually kind of speechless 😱
Met the amazing Steve Cavanagh last night. Bestselling Thirteen is a brilliant thriller about a serial killer who manipulates his way onto juries. And Steve was as charming as can be!👏👏👏👏❤️
Seriously guys, amazing book! I LOVE thriller books and this one really had me on the edge of my seat! You not only get a front seat to the defense attorneys mind but also the killers mind! This book was well written and made me want to look over my shoulder. If you like twists and unexpected endings, this one is for you! Lots of twists and turns !
Wow this book is amazing and I couldnt put it down. It definitely was the best mystery/suspense/thriller I have read in a long time. I loved Flynn's character and found dollar bill to be the best bad guy I've come across in a long time. I highly recommend this book and will definitely be visiting more of cavanaghs novels.
So so happy right now... reading and getting my zen on. ❤️❤️
A fun, twisty legal thriller that's a perfect summer read!

I'm not feeling the Cavanagh book so I'm bailing for something I know I will like. Don't think court procedurals are for me. Good to know.
Has anyone read this series? I‘m on the fence about buying. I like suspense and government mystery, but thrillers and gruesome murders and being scared shitless aren‘t my thing. Thoughts?(without spoilers please!) many thanks!!
What separates this serial killer from others is the motivation behind his killings and victim selection. He's clearly mentally ill & he enjoys his work. But there's an ethos, an ideology behind him, Everything he does is toward this goal, toward living out this ethos. I absolutely loved this, & the more we saw this was behind the killings, the more I liked it (& the more impressed I was with the creation of this killer). https://wp.me/p3z9AH-48h
Macmillan just reached out to me and I won't their Summer Thrillers Sweepstakes!! These two galleys are on their way to me, and I couldn't be more excited :). I feel like I have had a lot of great karma coming back to me lately.
Also, this is my first post using Litsy web, and it's pretty cool! More cropping options, you can easily see on every notification if you already follow that person or not, and you can even see trending books on the side!
Awesome page turner , reminded me a little of criminal minds 😍
This was one very clever courtroom procedural with plenty of twists & surprises. Is it plausible?! Not really, but that still didn‘t take away from this thrilling cat and mouse game between an ex-con turned attorney & a serial killer. What I didn‘t realize was this book is number 4 in a series ( Eddie Flynn) and while this works fine as a stand alone, I think prior background knowledge of Eddie & his antics would have made this read even better.
Dear Cathy, thank you very much for your lovely gifts. I am looking forward to read these two books and the postcards are super cute! Love them all! Thanks, friend ❤️😘 @Cathythoughts
I just bought this book and was about to start reading it then I realized it‘s the fourth in a mystery series! Are there any littens who have read this that could tell me if it‘s one of those books that works as a standalone or should I wait until I can read the series and catch up to it?
