Solid 7/10, the pacing was what really sunk it for me. I wanted it to keep me engaged more. A couple of twists would have helped

Solid 8/10. A little scattered and partially unbelievable especially at the end. However still kept me on my toes and enjoyed it. Read it in a day

Great hook, great concept. Fell a little flat at the end with the resolution, but overall a good read. Easy to pass the time with. Trigger warning: contains assault

Was gripping and kept me anticipating next twists, but lacked in character connection. Plot ended too abruptly. Wanted more

I really expected more from this one. It seemed too obvious. There weren‘t as many twists as I‘d have liked. Overall kind of a dull read

The writing was amazing like Dekker usually is. However this one lacked continuity and a conclusive ending. The ending was confusing and I‘m still not sure what the message was. That being said, I did connect with the characters

Was this book traumatic? Yes. Was it scary? Kind of. Out of all the phycological thrillers I‘ve read, I really expected such a famous book to be better.

The Cousins | Karen M. Mcmanus

After loving the other books - One of us is Lying, One of Us is Next, I was disappointed by this one. Too many characters and jumping back and forth, choppy plot line, too many unfilled holes. Not a bad book but not a good one either.

Could not stand this one. Truly didn‘t understand the point even at the end, only finished because it was a book club book, but it was brutal. Had to skim. Tough to read writing style, didn‘t care about the characters.

One of the more twisted books I‘ve read recently. I wasn‘t into it to begin with but it really grabbed me near the middle. Solid 6.8/10 pick if you‘re looking for something unsettling and mysterious. Also improved my understanding of sensory processing issues as a side bonus.

Perks of Being a Wallflower | Stephen Chbosky

Read this one cause despite the hype, I‘ve never read it before. Made me uncomfortable to read and maybe that was the point. I appreciate the effort to cover really tough topics from a young perspective. However, it‘s really not super believable and slightly cliche. Kind of enjoyed reading it but really just wanted to get through it.
