The Rainbow Rowell Collection
The Rainbow Rowell Collection: Eleanor & Park, Fangirl, Landline, and Carry On | Rainbow Rowell
27 posts | 11 read | 4 to read
#1 New York Times bestselling author Rainbow Rowell has captured the hearts of readers all over the world. Now, for the first time ever, four of her critically acclaimed novels are together at last in one e-bundle. Discovering your new favorite author has never been easier! Eleanor & Park Set over the course of one school year in 1986, this is the story of two star-crossed misfits-smart enough to know that first love almost never lasts, but brave and desperate enough to try. When Eleanor meets Park, you'll remember your own first love-and just how hard it pulled you under. Fangirl Cath and Wren are not only identical twins, they are also the two biggest Simon Snow fans ever. Or at least, they used to be. Now that they are starting their freshman year of college, Wren is moving on to new things and leaving Cath behind. But Cath isn't quite ready to let go. Carry On Carry On - The Rise and Fall of Simon Snow is a ghost story, a love story and a mystery. It has just as much kissing and talking as you'd expect from a Rainbow Rowell story - but far, far more monsters. Landline If you got a second chance at love, would you make the same call? When Georgie McCool discovers a telephone that allows her to call into the past, that's exactly the question she must ask herself. Landline is a heart-wrenching - and hilarious - take on fate, time, television and true love.

This is a short story (only 39 pages).

It was cute - although, I say that with a shoulder shrug.

In my opinion, the main character's paranoia was annoying.

I'm glad this didn't cost me any money.

Tagging this as a collection bc this short story isn't in the database! A sweet story about family, CoVID, finding new ways to relate to others, and maybe just falling in love. #wintergames #teamgamesleighers @StayCurious 26 pts

After listening to If The Fates Allow last night I decided we needed jello salad for Christmas dinner. Not sure if it worked, but we‘ll see. I‘ve never had this dish before so not sure what to expect.

There was much to relate to here in this short audiobook. I thought it summed up the past two years pretty well.

I finished this short story a few days ago on my drive to work. It's available on Kindle Unlimited and in Audible. The narrator, Rebecca Lowman, is my favorite audiobook narrator. I will listen to anything she reads. I enjoyed this short story, but I think it was too soon for me to read a book about covid. It was such a strange experience hearing about the pandemic in a story. I need to be transported to a world without a pandemic. Lol

I couldn‘t find this exact book in the database either, but it was a cute story- pandemic relevant if that matters to anyone. Also, I found this recipe in the book and will be trying it out!😄🎄🎁📖 #mistletoemaniacs #wintergames2021 @Clwojick

This was a sweet and poignant very short Christmas book. It was odd to read a book that took place during covid (I think almost my first time doing it?) and particularly difficult for me just a few days after losing my grandfather. It was nicely written and very good albeit hard for me to read personally.

This short story was a great way to start my holiday reading! And it‘s so timely given that we‘re still in the throes of the pandemic. A cute and hopeful story. 4/5⭐️

Rainbow Rowell will be signing any of her books ordered through Omaha‘s The Bookworm indie bookstore, for any fans out there. I think it goes until Thanksgiving, but check the fine print.

✨Hard to see, but there's a beginning of a rainbow there and the end is out of frame on the right. It's been stormy like crazy here these past few days. I'm not a fan of thunder (makes my dystonia act up), but I sure do love the smell of rain and rainbows! 🌈💜
✨It's been like this the last few days and it's been perfect tea and reading weather. 📚 Although, my puppy seems to think I can change the weather and refuses to go potty. 🙄🤷🐶

Regarding today‘s question from @MrBook : How do you organize your books in your bookcases/on your bookshelves? I feel like my method makes people angry. Yes, that‘s right: by color. #BookTalk

Katerina I think that method is as good as any. And it has an aesthetic bonus ☺ 6y
CoffeeCatsBooks Pretty! I did this once but couldn‘t find my books. I remember books by their cover and too many spines were a different color from the cover. 6y
AshleyHoss820 I think it solves the age-old problem of "I want to read this book...I can't remember the title or the author, but it had a blue cover" ? Plus, it looks so nice! 6y

Tanisha_A You have to read Eleanor and Park! :) 7y
imabusybee Yes, E & P is the best to start with. 7y
Mariposa_Bookworm Yes, I'll throw in my two cents... Eleanor & Park! 7y
Redwritinghood I‘ve only read a couple of her books. Don‘t recommend Landline, but Eleanor and Park 💕💕 7y
CouronneDhiver Eleanor & Park for sure! 7y
DyAnne Eleanor and Park 1st. Then Fangirl. If you love the fan fiction story in Fangirl, then Carry On. 7y
JaclynW Eleanor & Park. ❤ 7y
xicanti FANGIRL was my first, and it's probably still my favourite. CARRY ON might be tied with it. 7y
Natasha.C.Barnes I've only read Eleanor & Park but I LOVED it. 7y
RoxanneMilward Definitely Eleanor and park!!! Fan girl and landline are also really good. I'm currently reading carry on :) 7y
kimlovesbooks Fangirl is one of my favs books of all time! 7y
AmandaL I loved all of these, but I suggest reading Carry On after Fangirl. And you'll need to be patient because it starts slow. 7y
Rachellynnwright I‘ve also been wanting to give Rowell a try but didn‘t know where to start, so thanks for this! You just made my life easier !! ☺️ 7y
mrozzz @Rachellynnwright ha! No problem! 7y
CrowCAH I really enjoyed the tagged book, but that was my first and only book of hers. 7y
enidkeaner I'm the odd one out - the only Rowell I actually liked was Attachments. I read Fan Girl and Eleanor and Park and they were incredibly blah to me. I remember liking Carry On more but none of those three were books I was actually glad to have read once I finished. 7y
mrozzz @enidkeaner all opinions appreciated!! Hope to get through all the Rowells eventually 👍🏻 7y
mrozzz @CrowCAH that's the one I was going to go with! Might do Eleanor & Park first though 7y
CathyJ The only book of hers I've read is Eleanor and Park but I absolutely loved it. 7y
mrozzz @CathyJ thanks! I'm gonna pick that one up 😊 7y
JamieArc Landline was not my favorite but I listened to it and I tend to like audiobooks less than the book version. 7y
readordierachel Add my voice to the chorus of Eleanor and Park! ❤ I've enjoyed all of her books though (Landline less so than the rest). But def read Fangirl before Carry On if you like E & P and decide to read more. :) 7y
mrozzz @JamieArc I didn't even consider them on audio!! Thanks ☺️ 7y

I just found out Rainbow Rowell has a playlist for all of her characters on Spotify. It's perfect! But don't listen to them unless you've already read that book - especially if listening to music is an emotive experience for you. "It's not that it's a spoiler - it's a FEELINGS BETRAYAL"
