Now this one was a whirlwind and honestly my favorite in the series this far! Irene, Vale, Silver, Moodan and Kai(by request) have been placed at the center of a murder during the oh so delicate Peace Conference, hope by to procure peace between the Far and Dragons. I must say, I did not see the twists and turns coming in this one and I truly enjoy how all the characters are settling into a place they feel they belong!

In the fourth installment of this series Irene and her more than faithful apprentice, Kai, find themselves in the midst of the territory of none other than the Queen of the Southern Lands, Ya Yu…and she‘s far less than pleased! Mod bosses, detectives, scrying, kidnap, deception, and loss. Worth the read!

Book 3 finds our characters back in London after a daring escape from Chaotic Venice only to find them faced with some very unsettling events…burning gates, giant spiders, werewolves , the descent into madness, and the return of an old enemy.

In the second installment of The Invisible Library series, Kai, our lovable student, is kidnapped by none other than his most hated opposition. Irene, Vale, and a few surprise allies must make hate to rescue him before the act incites a literal war of the worlds.

The in between between worlds, held in existence by virtue of the books housed there. The Invisible Library functions to ‘collect and preserve‘ unique and important works of literature connecting it to the existing alternate worlds. In this first book, a young librarian and her student find themselves entrenched in a generations old vendetta. They must trust each other and unlikely friends if they want to save themselves and the Library‘s secrets.

Have you ever been the ‘weird black girl‘…well I have and still am. A personal love story I truly relate to being like the protagonist and wanting to explore your creativity, your identity, your other half, and ‘your people‘…even if they don‘t look like you.

Liatrek I related and loved this story so much❤️❤️❤️❤️ 2y
Ms_Ashley @Liatrek so did I! I loved just how introspective Tessa was. I would have loved to have a friend like Caroline and a leading man like Sam at that age. How beautiful when people see you 😊 (edited) 2y
SW-T I have this on my TBR! Your review makes me want to pick it up and start it sooner than later. 😊 2y

Spanning 200 years, a story held together by the glue of a strong woman, an enduring love, a fierce protection, and generations of heartbreak and rebuilding. I didn‘t know what to expect coming into this but coming full circle, I really enjoyed it! For those who love stories centered around a place.

As a reader, you know the pull a good book can have on you. If the story is truly enchanting it sticks with you and loves as you do from then on. It should then be no surprise that every book is a soul; it lives, it breathes, telling its story and relishing in the reading. The library is in danger now…what wouldn‘t an afterlife realm do to acquire the power held in the stacks of the library?

The everyday story of a regular guy who finds himself in love with a woman he cannot be with. And she has incurable inoperable Cancer. What happens to one‘s life when their happiness is entangled in the well being of another? One‘s hopes and future inextricably linked to a fate of which they have no control?

Books, gateways to somewhere else, somewhere unknown, an escape. But what really is a book? Is it a collection of words strategically scrawled across medium? Is it a all ink and parchment, thread and leather? Or is it the whole of its intent, the story it conveys? Does the medium hold the story or does the story hold itself? The power of a story is immeasurable. A good one will grab hold of you and who knows when it will release!

What you‘re telling me is that modern man, in all our infinite superiority, was NOT the only humanoid to walk the earth at an singular time in history. You mean the ever popular t-shirts showing man climbing from the primordial ooze and slowly developing a spinal column to traverse this land as a biped are NOT true? There were other compatriots who had scientifically proven higher functioning brains and desirable physicality!! 😉…

How much guilt does one have to be carrying to buy into the belief that they are an actual demon? How strong the want of home is; how far from Grace one has fallen? What could be enough to pull God from Her watch? And how gruesome a tale must be woven that even Hell itself cannot hold it?

The Library in Hell, guarded by an ancient mortal librarian responsible to maintain order in the chaotic wing that houses the unwritten works of eternity. She is a resident but not a ward of ‘his grinchiness‘. Now she, along with a sardine sea foam haired mouse and a demon of entropy set out to retrieve an escapee. The books calls upon knowledge of ancient texts, The Watchers and Enoch, The Devil‘s Bible, and immortal souls. So far, so good 😊.

It starts a bit slow, but worth the build up…Ted is just a regular guy ready to end his life due to an inoperable tumor…or is he? What happened when your reality becomes tangled with your fantasies? Where is the line between sanity and that other place and how much of who you are has been lost and how much has been imagined? A good read once it gets going and then Federico never lets up not until the absolute last word.

Predictable yet intriguing, this book made me smile. I listened to it on a long road trip and fell asleep with it in my ear. The Hating Game..., a literary trope done in a an imperfect way, making it all the more delightful. Sally Thorne has a real grasp on side knife banter, it's delicious.

Lila Montgomery is a trashy romance writer...but this secret is her own to keep. The curvaceous assistant to a lech of a Hollywood agent, Lila goes back to her home town for a 15 year high school reunion and all heck breaks loose. In the midst of everything she realizes the Adonis who inspired her best selling novel is real she's all but delighted to reconnect with him. This enthralling read pulled me out of my slump! It was un-putdownable.
