As a kid, Peter spends the summer vacation at his grandparents. They work as editors, and they start sending him home with the used paper. This is after the war and paper is expensive. His grandparents tell him not to read the stories, but one day he does. Peter gets completely hocked into it, so much so that he as an adult start looking for the end and information about the author.

This was a reread for me. The first time, I didn‘t get what all the fuss was about. This time, I enjoyed the story and I have a feeling that‘s because of Lisa Aisato illustrations. I love her art.

Finished a day early #ACarolADay since the 24th is the big Christmas Day in Norway and I won‘t get much reading done tomorrow.

The final book in this series was another pick for me. This series revolves around a hedgehog rescue center and everyone involved with it. Taking place outside of Whitsborough Bay, the series did occasionally include some of Redland‘s WB characters. I would definitely read these in order as the characters and stories rely heavily on the events of previous books.

This was an interesting spin on A Christmas Carol. Holly was visited by the 3 ghosts 5 years ago. Her future showed her death if she didn‘t change. Fast forward 5 years & a now dead Holly is the Ghost of Christmas Past for Project Scrooge. Her job is to help the chosen Scrooge change for the better. This is her 5th Scrooge, but this one gets personal.

This one isn‘t in the database. Book 2 in the Snowy Pine Ridge series. Book 3 is on my #SeriesLove2023 list.

After a few disappointing book 2s recently, I‘m happy to say this was a solid pick for me. Building on the characters and stories from book 1 and well executed. Heartwarming and fun with a few laugh out loud moments. 🤓

This was just okay for me. Never really connected to the characters or to the plot. Joy returns home to her small town in NC after her grandmother dies suddenly. In order to keep the family B&B from being turned over to the state, the grandmother‘s will stipulates that Joy must stay in NC for 6 months and run the business. It was pretty repetitive in places, which is a pet peeve of mine. At least it was a quick read!
