Disappointed with this, the premise sounded so good. It was basically teenage drama in a spaceship.

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend!

I have started The Book Thief for the fourth time and finally got past the 50 page mark and I am now getting really into it! I refused to give up with this one 😂

What books did you struggle to get into and then ended up loving? Let me know 😊

Bookwomble Crime and Punishment for me. I started it half a dozen times, then the last time just clicked and I flew through it. I've re-read it a few times since, and it's now one of my favourite books. Some books you know you're never going to like, others feel like perseverance may be rewarded 🙂 3y
my.books.in.squares @Bookwomble Yes, sometimes you know you will love a book but it's not quite the right time. I may have to try crime and punishment! 3y

John Gwynne I applaud you!

Another book full of amazing and unique characters who you can't help but love. Everything about this book was perfect. The characters, the world-building, the action, the pacing. I went into this with high high expectations and I was not disappointed. I am so ready for the rest of the series!

Another five star read for me (as all of his books have been). I can't wait to get my physical copy and read this again.

Some series I want to get to soon!

What should I read first? 🤔😊

Soubhiville I loved Locke Lamora and Name of the Wind. But the third in Rothfuss‘ series isn‘t out yet... I‘ve been wanting to try Leviathan Wakes too. 3y
Addison_Reads I plan on rereading Lies of Locke Lamora next month so I can finally read book 2 and 3. 💚 3y

LazyOwl Some great series here. I've read the first Expanse book and really enjoyed, but haven't managed to read further in the series yet. NOTW is awesome and I really enjoyed the Dark Tower novels. 3y
BookBelle84 The Expanse books just get better and better 3y
Vansa The lies of Locke Lamora and the second book were absolutely great. Red seas under red skies was absolutely unreadable, so just 2 books in that series worth reading! For The Kingkiller Chronicles, might as well wait for the third book to be published before starting the series! 3y

This book blew me away. I knew before I even got half way that it was going to be 5 stars.

This isn't just a crime thriller, it is about family, grief, friendship and survival. I loved it, it is easily my favourite read so far this year. I didn't want to put it down but I also didnt want it to end. Amazing.

I read Red Rising a couple of years ago and really enjoyed it but never continued on with the series. Now I will!

I have heard the series gets better as the books go on, has anyone read them all?

Kimberlone The original three book trilogy is super good! I haven‘t read the 4th and later books yet, but I do highly recommend this series! 3y
Literary_Siren @SassenachTheBookWizard has read them all or most. If I remember her reviews, she highly enjoyed them. 3y
DGRachel I‘ve read through Iron Gold. I LOVE the original trilogy. Pierce Brown changed things up with the next set by adding more POV characters and increasing the scope of the plot. I haven‘t been able to bring myself to pick up Dark Age, but it‘s on my priority list for this year. I always feel so broken after his books. 3y
