A Court of Wings and Ruin
A Court of Wings and Ruin | Sarah J. Maas
Looming war threatens all Feyre holds dear in the third volume of the #1 New York Times bestselling A Court of Thorns and Roses series. Feyre has returned to the Spring Court, determined to gather information on Tamlin's maneuverings and the invading king threatening to bring Prythian to its knees. But to do so she must play a deadly game of deceit-and one slip may spell doom not only for Feyre, but for her world as well. As war bears down upon them all, Feyre must decide who to trust amongst the dazzling and lethal High Lords-and hunt for allies in unexpected places. In this thrilling third book in the #1 New York Times bestselling series from Sarah J. Maas, the earth will be painted red as mighty armies grapple for power over the one thing that could destroy them all.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This was a great end to the series! If book 2 hadn‘t been so fantastic, this may have been a 5-star read from me, but as it is, I don‘t know that I‘ve read such a standout part of a series in quite a while, and it makes the other two pale, ever so slightly, in comparison. The series was such a blast, and I‘m sad it‘s over.

So. Freaking. Good. A nearly perfect way to wrap up the series. Rarely have I enjoyed sequels more than the first in a series, but this is my favorite of the trilogy. More action than the first and less uncomfortable love scenes than the second.

While not my favorite in the series, this was still quite stellar 😎 with characters that feel as familiar as friends and excellent world building that feels so natural. Of course, this being the ACOTAR series there were plenty of 🔥scenes 😁. My only complaint was too much of a war vibe at times.

The third book in the series was fantastic, and had me cheering out loud in several places. With how the story was left the end of book two, I wasn‘t sure how this story would evolve, but it was damn close to perfect. Love love love.

While it wasnt quite the epic climax to the story asi thought it would be, that doesnt mean it wasn't one hell of a ride. I loved this book like the others, the writing stayed consistantly wonderful and the story was just as emotional.

Today‘s #colormepretty is #green!

I LOVE the ACOTAR series and I can‘t wait to see where it goes! Probably one of my favorite series.

I would recommend anything written by Maggie Stiefvater. All of her books: amazing.

The Eragon series kindled my love of dragons that has never faded.

Fangirl is a book EVERYONE should read, and then read Cath‘s fanfiction, Carry On.

If you haven‘t seen AMC‘s A Discovery of Witches or read the trilogy, do it.

Sweetkokoro Eragon is the only Dragon series my sister will read, she is like you it kindled her love for them but she won‘t venture out of them haha. I still have yet to read them and I am a huge Dragon fan haha. I do love the book covers though. 4mo

I love this book and this series so much and I can‘t wait for the spinoff series to be released. This book took me a little longer to reread than the others but I‘ve also been much busier this past week.
The wrap up of this book leaves some aspects of the story wide open which is interesting to think about where it will go next.

This book took me on one hell of a rollarcoast that I wasn't expecting or prepared for. I woke up earlier than I wanted because of this need to get back to the book after staying up way too late already from reading. Having such a connection to the emotional journal Feyre went through with the emotional abuse and recover will forver make this series such a special one for me.

Review is coming.... and I know the reasons why people have problems with this series but for me, I really related to a number of things Feyre went through and it hit me on such a deep and personal level that I will always hold this series close.

Ok I have issues with the telling and not showing of important things. The over use of ellipsis and em dashes, the over repetivebess of details which show an utter lack of trust of the reader.

But.

The story has such promise. It's a romance novel with Fantasy setting and that's just fine by me. I want to know the next stories. They are coming.

The series continues to enchant me, and this book is heartbreaking, beautiful, with both expected and unexpected plot twists. It‘s not as good as ACOMAF but it‘s still excellent. The characters are what make these books so good, as well as the depth of history and world building. Still flagging these as more mature than a teen book should be labeled, just my opinion. I love these images by Charlie Bowater. This is just how I pictured them 🌌✨

A Court of Thorns and Roses was so immersive. I felt like I was with Feyre through everything, good and bad. I did guess the ending which didn‘t bother me because it was the ending that I wanted. I‘m interested to see how the series continues on though because at times it felt like a standalone. It was the first start of a fantasy series I‘ve read in a while that didn‘t end with a huge cliffhanger. I look forward to checking out the next book.

I‘m so torn with this one. I have become deeply invested in these characters and this world. However, this was my least favorite of the series. I continued to read mainly because of how much I loved the characters and not because I was always interested in what was happening. I wasn‘t fully hooked until the later chapters. For a 700 page book, that‘s a long time. I‘d say it would have been better if it was shortened by 150 pages or so.

I stayed up way too late last night finishing this book 🤦🏽‍♀️😂 But I‘m glad that I did, because I loved the ending! I think it was all wrapped up nicely, and I like how all of the characters and plot lines overlapped right where they needed to. I think Throne of Glass is overall better than this trilogy, but I still really enjoyed this series!!

I was looking forward to see how the story of Feire ends and I was not disappointed. My only issue was that the book dragged in some areas and I had to stop reading it and move to something else before finishing it. Still I loved the story and some of the characters, even though their development was not unexpected. Overall I would say it's an enjoyable book to pick up on cold winter evenings.

I enjoyed the book but book 2 is way better. The battle is amazing and I could picture myself right in the middle of it all but the rest of the book was just ok to me. Maybe I will read it again one day again and see if it was just me, but it did all wrap up nicely so all in all it was a pick.
