When I was in high school, the reality shows “The OC” and “The Hills” were what every It Girl would talk about. Fast forward a decade, and one of those reality stars, Lauren Conrad, is still a household name. She‘s a style icon, influencing countless people, and she is also an accomplished author. I‘m sure if I‘d pick up one of her novels, I‘d be back with my girlfriends watching #californiagurls living it up! ♥️
My #partyrockanthem is pretty low key... all I wanted for my #birthday today was the sun, the pool, and a good read. I‘m having a good time. ☀️
The prompt from the #heatofjuly challenge sure did fall on a good day. 🎂😉🎉
This novel is on my #TBR pile as well. I love the cover art, and with the help from the editing tools, I think this picture fits with today‘s #heatofjuly challenge — #blurredlines. ☀️
Happy Thursday, Littens! ❤️
I love when pages have a deckle edge. While some believe that this is a defect or imperfection, I beg to differ. In fact, I think these books have a #fancy quality, and I am always on the hunt to find novels that possess this little trait.
Happy 4th of July, Littens! ❤️💙
“... this time I know Henry will come, eventually. I sometimes wonder if this readiness, this expectation, prevents the miracle from happening. But I have no choice. He is coming, and I am here.” 💕
Guys, can we talk about how GORGEOUS this book cover is?! 💕 I have been seeing reviews for this book left and right, ever since Reese Witherspoon announced it as the July pick for her book club. I was ecstatic when I called my library and they said “Yes, it will be waiting for you at the circulation desk.” 💕
Happy Monday, Lovelies!
One of my favorite quotes of all time in a movie is Elizabeth‘s reply to Darcy when asked how one is to encourage affection. Her sassy response of “Dancing... even if one‘s partner is barely tolerable.” certainly has a bit of sting behind it. But, #onedance later, their chemistry is undeniable. P&P has been on my TBR pile for a long time. I think it‘s time to pick it up. 💚
Littens, meet Muffin! 😻
Even in the #heatofjuly, I still find myself looking for a comforting meal, and my crockpot has been my go to kitchen appliance! Some of my favorite books are in my ever growing cookbook collection, so I‘m submitting a few of my slow cooker books for #despacito. Low and slow, baby. Low and slow. 🥘💛
Did you hear?! The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon is selecting a summer read! Each novel sounds fantastic! (I may or may not have added them all to my stack! 😁

OMG, guys, this book... READ IT NOW.
Matthew Quick brilliantly portrays the heartbreaking emotions of a young man who believes that his life will not get better and that suicide is his only option. This book sheds light on why it is SO IMPORTANT to be there for your fellow man. Luckily for Leonard, someone does step up for him, even though it is a difficult step to take.
Listen and be there for one another, friends. ❤️
I picked this gem at a book exchange that focused on mental health. It was so nice to be around a group of lovely, like-minded ladies as we discussed the importance of taking care of ourselves, especially our mental health. Shout out to @DimeryRene for coordinating such a fun event! 💖
Modern Romance illustrates how dating has transformed over the last few generations. The author explains through interviews and statistical data that dating can be, well, complex and messy, even with the advances in technology. Is this groundbreaking information? No, but Aziz encourages readers to be honest, both with themselves and with others they are dating, and to embrace the journey. (I highly recommend the audio book... he cracks me up!)💕
I enjoyed this book. I saw the film before I read it, and I was pleasantly surprised how much the movie followed the story line. I loved the characters, especially the quirky, chatty nature of Lou. ❤️ Has anyone read the other novels “Me After You” or “Still Me”? Thoughts?
“A rainy day is a gift to readers.” - Amy Miles
Happy to be home, wrapped up on my porch, listening to the rain, and reading. 🌦
Highly Recommend. 💛 Rainbow Rowell depicts high school relationships and family dynamics as two teens, who are complete opposites, find themselves attracted to and falling for one another despite difficult circumstances. I can‘t wait to pick up another novel by this author. 💛
Today‘s commute is made better by ‘Eleanor and Park‘ 🧡
In her novel, Small Great Things, ‘Jodi Picoult tackles race, privilege, prejudice, justice, and compassion.‘ I can always turn to Jodi Picoult and count on her challenging me to see the world from another perspective. #librarybook #summerreading
