Romance books from my physical TBR that I want to read
This book (and movie, which I saw afterward) was so moving in the best and worst ways. Lou and Will‘s relationship is sweet and quirky, but hinges on a heartbreaking decision for Will… yes I did shed a tear😢 I haven‘t read the books after this one though, so if anyone recommends them please lmk!
I'm really late to reading this book. Well past the hype from when it was initially released. I really enjoyed it. I found the characters likeable and wanted to find out what happened. It's a tough topic to consider but it was handled with sensitivity.
Month 6 complete. 12 books crossed off my TBR. 90/120 for 2022. 😊

Gosh there are just too many books that made me cry, I‘m sappy like that, but the most memorable would just have to be this 🥲
So good, great cry! 🥲 Now to watch the movie so I can cry some more. 🥹
Day #2 for the June #BookMoods challenge is also my #Doublespin pick for this month! This movie is so sweet!! Thanks for hosting @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks & @Eggs 🥰

There were many to choose from but this resonated with me. A memorable book that until today, I have not read After You as I just didn‘t want it to spoil that special feeling!
A beautiful romance between a quadriplegic and his caregiver. But love doesn't overcome all. A hard ending. It left me mad.
Me before you was my first ever book by Jojo Moyes which I picked accidentally. But I am so glad I picked it. Really enjoyed reading it. The story was different and written beautifully.
“You only get one life. It's actually your duty to live it as full as possible “ …. This book makes me cry every time !

Louisa takes a job taking care of William, a quadriplegic.
I have started this book at least twenty times since it came out. So I‘m glad that it was available as an audiobook. I liked the book, and the movie is pretty spot on with the book except to take out some of the heavier stuff that the book had in it.
This is one of those books where most people condemned but I actually liked it. I‘ve watched and enjoyed the movie version too. I have yet to read After You though. #lover #conflictedworlds @Eggs @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks

This is the only book I could think of with a disability, and I haven‘t even read or seen the movie (just saw movie posters).
I decided to take a small break from reading YA, and try something new, and this book was definitely was different in a good way. It was such a funny yet emotional book with a plot that is uncomplicated yet has so many small questionable choices. The MC Lou was so bubbly, I loved her personality in contrast to Will's cold demeanor, their dynamics really developed and I loved both their perspectives on life. The ending was so bittersweet!
As I'm watching Me before you again, here we go with the quote that I love most for #ThinkPositiveBePositive by @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks @TheSpineView
Thanks @Eggs for the tag ❤
I can‘t believe I‘ll say this, but I prefer the movie

Day 14
Louisa Clarke is one of the most #mellow characters that I've found in a book.
I just loved her spontaneity and her liveliness (plus Emilia is the perfect Lou ❣)
As if going to an ex's wedding could ever be less painful than root canal surgery.
[ha!]
I will never, ever regret the things I've done. Because most days, if you're stuck in one of these, all you have are the places in your memory that you can go to.
I hadn't realized that music could unlock things in you, could transport you to somewhere even the composer hadn't predicted. It left an imprint in the air around you, as if you carried its remnants with you when you went.
There was nothing in our family that couldn't be improved by a cup of tea, allegedly.
[YES! and/or coffee]
...the easy chatter that swelled and dipped gently like a benign sea around me.
The morning sagged and decided to last for several years.
[haha sound familiar- pandemic]
First line: When he emerges from the bathroom she is awake, propped up against the pillows and flicking through the travel brochures that were beside his bed.
Blew me away! I watched the movie probably 5 years ago so I kind of knew what was going to transpire. I had to see if the book was indeed better than the movie. I loved them equally! I do not like romance but this is not your typical romance at all. Wow what a story. ❤❤
Got some quality reading time in before work, now some more on my lunch.
I cried even more than the film. You really got to know the characters and understand far more about them. Just heartbreaking at the end
Loving this book so much!
An easy to read heartbreaker of a romance grounded in the ethical and emotional considerations of assisted suicide. The book is the most difficult easy read. You grow to love the eccentricity of it‘s characters, and are left with much more to contemplate. However the plot was predictable, and parts of the story were long and drawn out. The multi lens perspectives did not add to the story either, they simply retold subtext we already knew. 3 ⭐️
