The synopsis had me wanting to read the book, looking forward to the novel structure.
NoahandJude, artists and twins who were very close when they were younger. However, after some tragic events, they drifted away until things started to make sense at the end. Their younger years were told by Noah while Jude told the rest.
So..... I love this book, first when I read the point of view of noah I don't like her twin sister jude, but when I read the point of view of jude, I regret hating her. I like the plot of the story, I really felt sad about the conflict between the twins, the parents and child love, and their first loves

Why I chose the book: I was looking at a book recommendation list and found this book on the list. The summary it gave made it seem as though the events that happen could relate to a few people's lives.
Summary: The book follows the lives of fraternal twins Jude and Noah Sweetwine at several ages in their teen years as they grow up and learn about their emotions, art, and life.

I close my eyes and drown in color, open them and drown in light because billions and billions of buckets of light are being emptied on our heads from above.

I don‘t always read Classics, but I love books & stories in general 🤗📚💛 & I just Love how the colour #Yellow makes everything seems so cheerful 😃 #ColorMePretty💛
I‘ve read & adore all but the tagged book, a #YA contemporary which I couldn‘t get into at the time, & #DNF. Nonetheless it‘s a topic I‘m very interested in, so I do plan on picking it up again one day, when the mood strikes.

This is, hands down, my favorite book on my bookshelf. I will never forget the way I felt when I finished this novel. If I had a magic lamp, I would wish to unread this novel, just so I could have the experience of re-reading it all over again. It‘s so moving, beautiful, and completely consuming.
Oh my god. I hadn‘t read a book in a really long time before this, but I couldn‘t seem to put this one down. The characters are so unique and real, and the story has the perfect amount of foreshadowing to where you feel satisfied when the twists were revealed. I absolutely loved this book, and it was really refreshing to be part of their world for a little bit.
This book was luminous and inspiring, passionate and wild and so incredible. Highly recommended!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!!
A better look at the titles in my incredibly generous #summersantagoespostal stack from the amazing @Megnogged . Thank you again 🍓🍋❤️💛!

AMAZING!!! This book is a must read!!
#BookLook returns! This time it's I'll Give You The Sun by Jandy Nelson~
I wanted to capture the two different POVs and include all the bright pride colors from the cover I had, so I did only warm tones on my left for Jude and cool tones on my right for Noah.
I used Black Heart's Forbidden Florals palette: Bloodroots, Plumeria, and Yellowbell (Jude); Sweet Pea, Iris, and Oleander (Noah)

The book is amazing..I'm too busy these days .. I'm trying to stole some minutes to read..

Hope you all having a good happy and beautiful time ❤❤💞

Really nicely written YA novel. I adored the twins‘ relationship, the time jumps, the family issues and most of all the way Nelson wrote about Noah and Jude‘s changing relationships with art and creativity. The romance aspects I could really have done without though - maybe as I don‘t get sucked into YA romance much and would rather read about other aspects of the characters, I found both twins‘ romantic feelings a bit skippable.
All ready to take off but just sitting on the runway with no announcements :/ it‘s a night flight so I should really sleep but im terrible at sleeping on flights so ill probably have a mini readathon with occasional fitful dozes. Im so terrified of flying, there‘s nothing about planes I don‘t hate! Pity I love travel so much. If I had my druthers it‘d be high speed rail and boats everywhere.
Well, the long weekend in Austin is over and I‘m sad to be leaving America 😞 my parents are off on their road trip now and I‘m waiting in the airport for my ten hour night flight back to London. I think the airport is having a bad day too cause a lot of separate areas smell of vomit right now, I don‘t envy the staff. Got my fire, a Diet Coke and a chocolate bar to kill three hours til my flight
I‘m currently reading this book. I‘m loving the way the writer writes in metaphors throughout the book. ❤️
Part 2 of my 2018 Wrap-Up
Here my top 10 best reads and 5 worst reads of 2018. Although I can't actually rank them, I can say for certain that the Shades of Magic Trilogy and I'll Give You the Sun were my favorites with the latter being the best of the year. I can't even describe how much I loved I'll Give You the Sun and how great of a story it was. Nelson wrote a heartwrenching yet hopeful tale that completely captured my heart.
I feel like this book has gotten too much hype and it just didn‘t live up to it for me. Overall this book gets a 3/10 from me because it was very dull and I feel as though the characters could have been more, but they weren‘t. Jude‘s perspective was very bland and Noah‘s perspective was interesting at first but then became bland as well.
Unpopular opinion I really didn't like this book. I loved the authors first book but there was just something about this book that I didn't like. I had to push myself to finish it. This is the last book that I will read in the #24b4monday. This weekend I read 6 books and read almost 20 hours. I beat my time from last month. Next month I shooting for the whole 24 hours. It was a great reading weekend! P

Such a beautiful story about love and its hardships. One thing I've taken away is that people make bad decisions sometimes, but that doesn't make them bad people. As long as you learn from your mistakes and treasure those around you, you are still a good person. I've also learnt that everything truly does happen for a reason and if something is meant to be, it will be. Reality can be crushing, but it's all we have.
8.5/10
'People die, I think, but your relationship with them doesn't. It continues and is ever-changing.'
'We were all heading for each other on a collision course, no matter what. Maybe some people are just meant to be in the same story.'
'I don't want to imagine meadows, I want to run through them.'
'What is bad for the heart is good for art. The terrible irony of our lives as artists.'
'No one tells you how gone gone really is, or how long it lasts.'
'A painting is both exactly the same and entirely different every single time you look at it.'

The writing in this book was quite a shock and it took some getting used to - very fantastical and quirky. It was hard for me to get into the story at first. As I continued, I adjusted and instead of thinking that the characters were crazy, I realized that the language was more poetic and emotive than realistic and was able to adjust my expectations.
As the story unfolded, my affection for this story kept growing; I'm so glad I stuck with it.
The story of twins, Jude & Noah, and their struggles with life, loss, love, and forgiveness. Noah tells his part of the story from the past, while Jude tells her story in present day. I loved the back and forth storytelling. Noah‘s chapters are filled with metaphors. Like SERIOUSLY filled with them. I enjoyed his colorful metaphors, while others I know who read the story found them annoying. #Book18of2018
Omg this book is giving me ALL the feels.
