This book is a hard one. Kelsey Grammer's sister, Karen, was brutally murdered by 3 men on a killing spree in Colorado Springs in 1975. I'm giving it a pick because I love Kelsey - he truly seems like the sweetest man & the love he has for his sister & family is undeniable — BUT, this book suffered from a lack of a cohesive narrative. His thoughts are scattered & the timeline is very jumbled & a little hard to follow sometimes. But I hope ⬇️

This was a quick listen at 3 hours. I didn‘t realize it‘s part of a series, but since it‘s a retelling of The Great Gatsby with a twist, I was already familiar with the characters. If you‘ve always secretly wished Nick Carraway & Jay Gatsby got together, then this is the book for you. I enjoyed the narrator. 3.5⭐️

This is book 2 in the Jane McGill series but I forgot most of what happened in the first book. 😳😬 It was just okay to me. It‘s one of her earlier books and is missing the thriller/suspense aspect which she does so well. But not bad by any means. 3⭐️
