This epic read starts with the immigration of the first family member of JFK's arrival in the States...from there the reader takes an amazing journey through the history of the Kennedy's with family photos. Highly recommend this one. #chunkster #bookspin @TheAromaofBooks

I found this to be a very good read. Especially if you're not fully aware of this man...or his presidency. It's a #chunkster so be prepared to settle in for a few days read. Truly a very good and interesting book. #bookspin @thearomaofbooks

I have long been impressed and intrigued by JFK and I found this to be a really edifying read. One that was interesting and filled with historic details that have been slowly forgotten. Highly recommended this one. #bookspin @thearomaofbooks

11/22/63: A Novel | Stephen King
Panpan

Almost insufferable to listen to, but I‘m a completionist and wanted to finish my first Steven King book.

The main character‘s motivations aren‘t clear enough for me to buy into this entire plot. What drives him and why? What is he afraid of? What propels him forward?

I don‘t think the narrator helped. Sadie‘s dialog was cringy when read on audio.

CrowCAH @Andrew65 you‘re welcome ☺️ I like how your readathons are choose your own goal; everyone is a winner! 5mo
Andrew65 @CrowCAH I think this flexibility helps people tailor it to their own life circumstances and feel that they have a chance of being successful. Some readathons just set me and others up to failure. 5mo

I have .ong been interested in this family and the history they wrote. This was a very good read regarding their private home on Hyannis Port. Interesting tale of the house and the people who called it home. #bookspin @thearomaofbooks

This book was amazing! I had previously avoided Stephen King novels because I assumed they were all horror but I stumbled across this by accident and it was perfect. The cross between science fiction and historical fiction was excellent and I love history. There are a few portions that made me cringe a little bit because they were violent and very bluntly written but otherwise amazing.

This was a fantastical, imaginative journey of a book. What interested me most was Jack‘s huge challenges in living with Addison‘s disease as well as his relationship & pursuit of Diana Playfair( whose side is she really on? U.S.,Soviet‘s?) & his relationship with FDR & his father. All fictional of course. #14books14weekd #TBR

TheAromaofBooks That's interesting about the Addison's. It's not a disease you hear much about. My grandma suffered from it - took a long time before doctors figured out what was going on with her. 9mo

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Working my way through the presidential bios. This one was good. I was a little bummed that the only audio version was abridged (although not THAT bummed since it came after really long books about Truman and Eisenhower). Still learned a lot, especially about Kennedy‘s foreign policy experiences.

Roary47 I‘m encouraged to read through the bios now. What a great way to learn more about history. 9mo
fredthemoose @Roary47 Give it a shot! At least for a time period you‘re interested in. I started a few years ago and it has really shored up a lot of my understanding of American history. A lot of the biographies are long, but many are also quite good. (edited) 9mo
