One of my July #Roll100 picks (# 66 “Any Library Book) I finished it last week & found myself totally captivated by the story of Stéphane Breitwieser, a prolific art thief who along with his girlfriend stole more than $2 billion worth of art from museums throughout Europe, keeping them in his attic bedroom. There are times I rooted for the thief but as his collection grew, his hubris began to annoy me. A fascinating true crime read.?️

1. The tree in my neighborhood that the owners paint every couple of months to go with the season gives me joy when I drive by.

2. Driving home from the airport on Tuesday I saw 3 separate rainbows.!🌈 Couldn‘t take my own pictures as I was on the freeway.

3. I had to meet with my HR Manager about not fun things so I treated us to afternoon desserts. Mine was a lilikoi mousse cake. Joyful & delicious. 😋 ⬇️

1️⃣ I try, but I am not very good at it in my personal life. At work I use tasks in Outlook & a project management system & I try to spend 10-15 minutes at the start & end of each day reviewing what I did & what I need to do.

2️⃣ This one is still in my TBR but it‘s about a personal assistant trying to find herself after putting everyone else‘s needs first.

About to start my #HyggeHour. Hanging out with Trixie & the Bob-Whites for #BobWhiteBuddies I remember this one being a favorite with lots of action. My snack is TJ‘s Rosemary Marcona Almonds, a favorite. Drinking a cup of Sleepytime tea (a classic for a reason).

Read for #NancyDrewBR I finished this book earlier in the week. It‘s a soft pick as far as Nancy Drew books go as the mystery felt light & George & Bess acts like jerks. So, out of curiosity, I looked to see who wrote it & it‘s Walter Karig, the same person who wrote the previous book (also not a favorite), so the jury is out on the next book as he wrote #‘s 8,9 & 10. No concussions in this one so our Nancy Noggin ⬇️

1. Ongoing is my dill pickle flavor craze.😋On their own, these rice cakes are a bit strong & more like than love, but add cheese or dip & the 🥒💚 blooms.

2. A somewhat rainy day meant for a beautiful sunset in my backyard.🌅

3. Blueberry muffins that are almost more berry than muffin bring me joy!🫐💙

Ran my Saturday errands, went to the craft fair & bought more cute local cards & managed to hang out at the coffeeshop. I read the first few chapters of one of my July #Roll100 books while I ate my lunch & then switched to writing out #LitsyLove & card swap reply cards before coming home & taking a short nap because the nighttime sleep just isn‘t coming lately.

I‘m a bit behind with my June wrap up & like May, both travel & illness meant it wasn‘t my most productive month. Still I managed to finish 11 books for #SundayBuddyRead #NancyDrewBR #BobWhiteBuddies CampLitsy24 #SheSaid (May & June) #SeasonalCozies #TravelingStars & 2 of my 3 #Roll100 books. Favorites were Clear, A Scatter of Light, Doppelgänger & Run Towards the Danger, but I liked everything I read. Some unfinished books are moving to July.

My last finished read of June, this was read for #BobWhiteBuddies & makes me happy because Trixie‘s brothers are back from being camp counselors for the summer & I loved me some Brian growing up.😍 Plus the interactions with the whole group are fun. Is the mystery great? Not so much. Is the dialogue dated & at times even a bit problematic? Sure! But these books even more than Nancy Drew remind me of my childhood. 💛

Another book finished early this month but no review posted. I‘m using it for today‘s #Waves prompt as Cassandra is a sea witch & the ocean & waves enhance her powers & have protected her.

This is the 2nd book in the Sea Wicche Chronicles-a spin off of the Sam Quinn series. I like the first series better but this one is a good paranormal romance escape & was easy to read when I was sick in early June.

Added to my #Roll100 list & it came up #24 in June. I started the audiobook 4 years ago but kept falling asleep listening to it. I cracked the code! I need Tori‘s soothing narration at 1.5x-it draws my attention more & keeps me awake without seeming sped up!😆This memoir is a good mix of her story & music career with her activism & political commentary, blended with snippets of her lyrics. If you like her music you should enjoy it.
