It's been a long time since I was here ...
I've read many great books, but also many mediocre ones.

This week I've been doing a binge reread of Lara Jean trilogy. Well actually only the first two were a reread.

But I love this series! It is so cute. And even though it is really light it does discuss some important subjects at times.

These are such feel-good books. I'm still smiling even though I finished it hours ago.

Have you guys read this? Have you read this gem?

I don't think I have liked a character as much as Ove in a long time. He is just so unlikeably likeable.

I picked this up after reading Harry Potter 5 which broke me again, just like it always does..and oh my God I'm such an emotional mess right now. I can't even begin to explain it properly.

All I can say is that you should pick this up if you need a beautiful story about a man with a big ❤

This was definitely a case of #litsymademedoit or #blameitonlitsy since I'm not sure if I would have picked it up otherwise. Or known it was a book since people talk about the movie.
I really liked it even though it was really creepy and not what I consider to be my cup of tea. This was a really disturbing read to be honest, but if you're up for something that will give you the chills give it a go. Malory is a hero!
Now I need to watch that movie.

Did you guys read this?
I hate YA contemporary books ( this is written in an alternative reality of some sort, but I'm calling it contemporary) but I actually really liked this one.

I had to start it three times since I couldn't get into in it, but I guess third time is the charm.
+ I am on a seven hour bus ride I had to do something.

It's really cute and sad.
I really did not expect it to be like this.
I had to read the last line twice. 😢

BooksAndTea97 @Bookworm04 honestly I would read a few chapters/or non spoilery reviews before buying it. It has a multiple POV and a different way of narrating the story that some people might not like it. I hate spending money on books I don't end up liking 😂 5mo

I still have to read a book for Arithmancy. Do you have any suggestions? For those of you who don't know, to complete the challenge for Arithmancy, I need to read a book written by multiple authors. Currently I only have Obsidio, but I'm not really in the mood for Sci-fi.

As for #Tometopple I finished 2 tomes and I'm in the middle of HP & the Goblet of fire. 💪

Hi guys!
So I know I don't have that many followers here and I'm not that popular, but I would really like to try this.
March is the #internationalwomensmonth
Since it's ending, I'd like for you to recommend books with strong female characters and have a good message to send to all the women/girls around the world so we could read them all year long not just in March.
I'd like for you to comment here or create your post and tag me. ❤📖

BooksAndTea97 I'm not trying to exclude men out of this. But where I live, a lot of women tend to think they're not that good/worthy and that men are truly superior. I just want to expand my (and your) bookshelf with good books that show how strong and amazing women can be and with books that can help women struggling with their own insecurities. My recommendation is tagged. I already wrote about it previously. Now I'd really like to see yours. ❤ 7mo
Naj This is such a great idea. I'd recommend the tagged book. Great women characters and checks all the boxes you mentioned in your post. 7mo
Freespirit Women are awesome😊I can think of quite a few books with strong female characters . The tagged book, Emma by Jane Austen, Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and I am reading European Travel for the Monstrous Gentlewoman 📚 7mo

I really like this graphic novel and how the illustrations are simplified so you can focus on the story. This is my most surprising read of 2018!
I picked it up quite randomly when I decided to read a book that was on my tbr for a long time. I didn't think, starting it, that it would have such a well developed world. Honestly, I thought it would be more like a main pretty rich spineless heroine falling in love with someone out if her league.. blah blah. It is really spooky and incredibly well written. I am absolutely in love with it.
I felt myself really drawn into this world while reading it. I just couldn't put it down.

And even though I read it as an adult, it woke the inner child in me.

Naj I love this! Great pick. 10mo
BooksAndTea97 @Naj Yeah it's awesome. I only feel sad that I didn't read it sooner. 10mo

Steppenwolf | Hermann Hesse

One of my all time favourites, and my #AdventRecommends day 19 recommendation.

I'm not that good with English to give this book justice, so here is a part of the synopsis.
"Steppenwolf is a poetical self-portrait of a man who felt himself to be half-human and half-wolf. This Faust-like and magical story is evidence of Hesse's searching philosophy and extraordinary sense of humanity as he tells of the humanization of a middle-aged misanthrope"

This is sort of like a part 2 of my previous recommendation.
So for #AdventRecommends day 18 I recomend a modern YA Christmas Carol.
This is such an amazing story! I am absolutely in love with it. It is perfect for this time of year. ❄
Now, I didn't know anything about this book before I started reading it, except that it is a modern retelling. Oh man, how the plot took me by surprise, even though it's all explained nicely in the synopsis haha.

For #AdventRecommends (by @emilyrose_x ) Day 17 I'm picking a classic, that I just finished a couple of minutes ago.
I really like Dickens' writing, and honestly this story is so good, and full of that good old Christmas magic.
I think every person on this planet should read it and take something from it.

#AdventRecommends Day 16❄
Before I start I have to say that I did not finish this trilogy yet. (But I am looking forward to)

This is a really cool paranormal ya trilogy that pulls you in and keeps you on the edge of your seat the entire time.

Mara is an unreliable character, so you will never be 100% sure of what is really going on.
Maybe that's the reason I fell in love with these books.. I don't know.
Read the synopsis and give it a try.❄

This is one of the few books that I've read and rated 1 star on Goodreads.
To be honest, from page one I felt that I would have problems with it, but I didn't expect to dislike it that much.
The characters are really annoying, and I wanted to throw the book across the room on multiple occasions.
This is just not my cup of tea.
